Description
前記問題点を解決する加飾品は、表面の少なくとも一部がシボ状に形成された基材と、少なくとも保護層、金属層及び接着層を有し、前記接着層を介して前記基材のシボ状の表面の少なくとも一部分に接着された加飾部とを備える。
図1及び図2に示す加飾品1は、車両外装品であるラジエータグリルである。この加飾品1は、基材2と、基材2の表面の少なくとも一部に設けられた加飾部3とを備える。基材2は、例えば樹脂製であって、PP(ポリプロピレン)からなる。基材2には、複数の突出部5が部分的(スポット状)に形成されている。本例の場合、突出部5は、平面視において略小判形状(略楕円形状)に形成されることが好ましい。加飾部3は、各々の突出部5に設けられ、基材2の見た目を変えて高い意匠性を持たせるように機能する。
図3に示すように、加飾部3を基材2に接着する加工機15は、熱転写によって接着を行うホットスタンプ装置16が使用されている。ホットスタンプ装置16は、ワークがセットされるテーブル17と、テーブル17に対して上下動可能に構成された機具18とを備える。機具18は、テーブル17にセットされたワークを上から押さえ付けて熱処理を加えることにより、加飾部3を基材2に接着する。本例の機具18は、ワークに一定圧を加える加圧機19と、ワークに熱を与える熱版20と、ワークに押し付けられる接触するゴム版21とを備える。ゴム版21は、例えばゴム硬度が70°、ゴム厚みが2mmであることが好ましい。
表1に、製造された加飾品1(本例は、ラジエータグリル)における加飾部3の初期付着試験結果を示す。なお、この試験では、3つのシボパターンA~Cの各加飾品1においてシボ深さを各々変え、耐水付着性能をクリアできたか否かを確認する初期付着試験を実施した。また、これらA~Cのシボパターンは、例えばシボ間隔、シボ模様、シボ大きさを各々変えた形状とした。
・基材2の一部分のみをシボ形状とし、そのシボ面に加飾部3を形成してもよい。この場合、基材2においてシボの有無と加飾部3とによる複合的な意匠を表現することができる。また、この場合、基材2のシボ面ではない箇所に加飾部3を形成してもよい。こうすれば、更に高い意匠性を確保することができる。
・加飾部3は、金属層9及び接着層10の間に、金属層9に亀裂発生を生じ難くするトップ層が設けられてもよい。
・熱転写用積層体24は、前述した種類の層群からなることに限定されず、加飾部3を基材2に転写できる層を含むものであればよい。
・基材2や熱転写用積層体24の厚みは、必要とする値のものに適宜設定することができる。
・シボ深さは、5~15μm範囲外の値としてもよい。
・保護層8及び金属層9の弾性率は、例えば金属層9に亀裂等が生じない値の組み合わせに適宜設定されることが好ましい。
・基材2の形状をフラット状に設け、このフラット面に対し、加飾部3をスポット的に配置してもよい。
・基材2の樹脂材料は、PPに限らず、他の材料を用いてもよい。
・加飾品1(本例は、ラジエータグリル)は、他の車両用外装品であってもよい。また、加飾品1は、車両用に限定されず、他の用途に使用される製品でもよい。
Claims (4)
- 少なくとも保護層、金属層及び接着層を備える加飾部を、前記接着層を介して基材に接着して、加飾品を製造する加飾品製造方法であって、
前記加飾部の形状を保持するための形状保持部と当該加飾部とが積層された熱転写用積層体を、シボ状に形成された前記基材のシボ面の少なくとも一部分にセットする工程と、
前記熱転写用積層体の最下層の前記接着層を熱処理によって前記基材の表面に接着する工程と、
前記基材に接着された前記加飾部を残して、前記形状保持部を前記加飾部から剥離する工程と
を備え、
前記加飾部を前記基材に接着する工程では、前記基材にセットされた前記熱転写用積層体に機具を押し当て、当該機具による熱処理を通じて、前記加飾部を前記基材に接着するホットスタンプが使用されており、
前記ホットスタンプは、
前記基材の表面において少なくとも前記加飾部を設ける部分にプレスタンプ用箔をセットし、そのプレスタンプ用箔に前記機具を押し当てて熱処理することにより、前記基材の表面を加工するプレスタンプと、
前記プレスタンプによって表面が加工された前記基材に前記熱転写用積層体をセットし、その熱転写用積層体に前記機具を押し当てて熱処理することにより、前記加飾部を前記基材に接着する本スタンプと
を備える加飾品製造方法。 - 前記基材のシボ深さは、5~15μm以下に設定されている
請求項1に記載の加飾品製造方法。 - シボは、梨地シボである
請求項1又は2に記載の加飾品製造方法。 - 前記加飾品は、車両の外装品である
請求項1~3のうちいずれか一項に記載の加飾品製造方法。
