Description
1つ以上の貫通孔を備えた集電部を有する電極集電体を用意する段階;
電極活物質、バインダー及び溶媒を含む電極スラリーを前記集電部の周縁の少なくとも一面と貫通孔上にわたって電界紡糸して前記電極集電体の少なくとも一面上に電極活物質層を形成する段階;並びに
前記電極活物質層が形成された電極集電体を電極として備える電池を構成する段階;を含む、フレキシブル電池の製造方法が提供される。
正極、負極及びその間に積層されるセパレータを含む電極組立体、並びに電解質を収納するフレキシブル電池であって、
前記正極及び前記負極のうち少なくとも1つが、1つ以上の貫通孔を備えた集電部を有する集電体;及び前記集電体の周縁の少なくとも一面と貫通孔上にわたって形成された電極活物質層を含む、フレキシブル電池が提供される。
前記貫通孔を除いた集電部の面積は、集電部の全体面積に対して4~85%であり得る。
図2aに示されたように、単一の貫通孔を備えた環状の集電部、及びタブ連結部を有するAl材質の集電体(厚さ:20μm)を用意した。このとき、上記貫通孔を除いた集電部の面積は集電部の全体面積の20%であった。用意した集電体のタブ連結部をポリイミド材質のマスクを用いてマスキングした。
単一の貫通孔を備えた環状の集電部とタブ連結部を有し、貫通孔を除いた集電部の面積が集電部の全体面積の4%であるAl集電体(厚さ:20μm)を正極用集電体として使用し、単一の貫通孔を備えた環状の集電部とタブ連結部を有し、貫通孔を除いた集電部の面積が集電部の全体面積の4%であるCu集電体(厚さ:20μm)を負極用集電体として使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同じ方式でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
単一の貫通孔を備えた環状の集電部とタブ連結部を有し、貫通孔を除いた集電部の面積が集電部の全体面積の85%であるAl集電体(厚さ:20μm)を正極用集電体として使用し、単一の貫通孔を備えた環状の集電部とタブ連結部を有し、貫通孔を除いた集電部の面積が集電部の全体面積の85%であるCu集電体(厚さ:20μm)を負極用集電体として使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同じ方式でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
タブ連結部が形成されているAlホイルを正極用集電体として使用し、タブ連結部が形成されているCuホイルを負極用集電体として使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同じ過程で電池を製造した。
多孔度70%のフェルト(felt)状のAl-メッキされたポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)集電体上に、活物質としてリチウムコバルト複合酸化物(LiCoO2)、導電材としてカーボンブラック及びバインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)を92:4:4の重量比で混合して溶媒であるN-メチル-2-ピロリドン(NMP)に添加して得た正極スラリーを塗布した後、乾燥及びロールプレスして正極を製造した。
実施例1~3及び比較例1、2で製造されたリチウム二次電池において、溶接されたタブ/リード部分の引張強度をUTM(Universal Testing Machine)で測定することで結合強度を評価し、その結果を下記表1に示した。
実施例1~3及び比較例1、2で製造されたリチウム二次電池において、溶接されたタブ/リード部分の抵抗をHIOKI 3555(BATTERY HITESTER)で測定し、その結果を下記表1に示した。
実施例1~3及び比較例1、2で製造されたリチウム二次電池を、25℃、5Rで繰り返して曲げながら、0.5Cで50回充放電を行った。サイクル進行中に初期放電容量対比95%の放電容量を維持したサイクル回数を測定し、その結果を下記表1に示した。

Claims (12)
- 1つ以上の貫通孔を備えた集電部、及び前記集電部の周縁から延びて電極タブと連結されるタブ連結部を有する電極集電体を用意する段階;
1つ以上の貫通孔を備えた集電部、及び前記集電部の周縁から延びてタブと連結されるタブ連結部を有する電極集電体を用意する段階;
電極活物質、バインダー、導電材及び溶媒を含む電極スラリーを前記集電部の周縁の少なくとも一面と貫通孔上にわたって電界紡糸して前記電極集電体の少なくとも一面上に電極活物質層を形成する段階;並びに
前記電極活物質層が形成された電極集電体を電極として備える電池を構成する段階;を含む、フレキシブル電池の製造方法。 - 前記貫通孔を除いた集電部の面積が、前記集電部の全体面積に対して4~85%である、請求項1に記載のフレキシブル電池の製造方法。
- 前記集電部が、環状、メッシュ状または格子状である、請求項1または2に記載のフレキシブル電池の製造方法。
- 前記電極集電体が、ステンレス鋼、アルミニウム、ニッケル、チタン、焼成炭素、銅;カーボン、ニッケル、チタン、銀、金または白金で表面処理されたステンレス鋼;アルミニウム-カドミウム合金;導電材で表面処理された非伝導性高分子;金属で表面処理された非伝導性高分子;及び伝導性高分子から選択されるいずれか1つの材質からなる、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシブル電池の製造方法。
- 前記電極活物質層を形成する段階が、前記電界紡糸を行う前に、前記電極集電体のタブ連結部にマスクを用いてマスキングを行い、前記電界紡糸により電極活物質層を形成し、その後、前記電極集電体のタブ連結部からマスクを除去する段階を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシブル電池の製造方法。
- 前記電極が、正極及び負極のうち1種以上である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシブル電池の製造方法。
- 前記電池を構成する段階が、前記電極とセパレータを含む電極組立体を構成し、前記電極組立体を電池ケースに収納する段階を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載のフレキシブル電池の製造方法。
- 1つ以上の貫通孔を備えた集電部を有する電極集電体を用意する段階;
電極活物質、バインダー、導電材及び溶媒を含む電極スラリーを前記集電部の周縁の少なくとも一面と貫通孔上にわたって電界紡糸して前記電極集電体の少なくとも一面上に電極活物質層を形成する段階;並びに
前記電極活物質層が形成された電極集電体を電極として備える電池を構成する段階;を含む、フレキシブル電池の製造方法であって、
前記集電部の周縁から延びて電極タブと連結されるタブ連結部が1以上の貫通孔を備える、フレキシブル電池の製造方法。 - 正極、負極及びその間に積層されるセパレータを含む電極組立体、並びに電解質を収納するフレキシブル電池であって、
前記正極及び前記負極のうち少なくとも1つが、1つ以上の貫通孔を備えた集電部、及び前記集電部の周縁から延びて電極タブと連結されるタブ連結部を有する集電体;及び前記集電体の周縁の少なくとも一面と貫通孔上にわたって形成された電極活物質層を含む、フレキシブル電池。 - 前記貫通孔を除いた集電部の面積が、集電部の全体面積に対して4~85%である、請求項9に記載のフレキシブル電池。
- 正極、負極及びその間に積層されるセパレータを含む電極組立体、並びに電解質を収納するフレキシブル電池であって、
前記正極及び前記負極のうち少なくとも1つが、1つ以上の貫通孔を備えた集電部を有する集電体;及び前記集電体の周縁の少なくとも一面と貫通孔上にわたって形成された電極活物質層を含み、
前記集電部の周縁から延びたタブ連結部と前記タブ連結部と連結される電極タブとの結合強度が、0.5~1kgf/6mmである、フレキシブル電池。 - 正極、負極及びその間に積層されるセパレータを含む電極組立体、並びに電解質を収納するフレキシブル電池であって、
前記正極及び前記負極のうち少なくとも1つが、1つ以上の貫通孔を備えた集電部を有する集電体;及び前記集電体の周縁の少なくとも一面と貫通孔上にわたって形成された電極活物質層を含み、
前記集電部の周縁から延びて電極タブと連結されるタブ連結部が1以上の貫通孔を備える、フレキシブル電池。
