熱伝導性であり、前記懐中電灯筒に機械的に接続されている外側の導電性部材、
前記外側の導電性部材内に保持されている電気的絶縁材料、及び
前記電気的絶縁材料によって前記外側の導電性部材から電気的に絶縁されて位置決めされている内側の導電性部材
を備えるヒートシンクアセンブリと
を備える懐中電灯であって、
前記LEDパッケージの前記第1の導電性部材は、前記外側の導電性部材の上面に電気的に結合され、前記LEDパッケージの前記第2の導電性部材は、前記内側の導電性部材に電気的に結合され、
前記電気的中性接点は、プリント回路基板(「PCB」)を使用することなく、前記外側の導電性部材の前記上面に直接熱的に結合され、
前記LEDパッケージは、電気回路からの電力が前記外側の導電性部材及び前記内側の導電性部材に印加される場合にオンにされる、懐中電灯。 - 前記外側の導電性部材は、前記懐中電灯筒と一体的に形成され、熱経路が、前記外側の導電性部材と前記LEDパッケージの前記電気的中性接点との間に1つの熱接合部のみを含む、請求項1に記載の懐中電灯。
- 前記第1の導電性部材は、前記上面にはんだ付けされ、前記第2の導電性部材は、前記内側の導電性部材にはんだ付けさている、請求項1に記載の懐中電灯。
- 前記電気的中性接点は、前記上面にはんだ付けされている、請求項3に記載の懐中電灯。
- 前記懐中電灯筒の第2の端部の筒ねじ山に取り外し可能にねじ込まれたテールキャップと、
前記懐中電灯内に直列構成で保持された複数の電池であって、前記複数の電池の各々は、カソード、アノード、及び集電体を保持する金属缶からなり、前記缶は、第1の極性を有する第1の接点を伴う第1の端部、及び第2の極性を有する第2の接点を伴う第2の端部を有し、前記複数の電池は端子電池を有し、その第2の端部が、前記テールキャップに近接して保持されている前記直列構成の端子端部である、複数の電池と
を更に備える、請求項1に記載の懐中電灯。 - 前記端子電池の前記金属缶の底面と前記テールキャップの第1の表面との間に、適合した機械的嵌合を形成する、請求項5に記載の懐中電灯。
- 前記テールキャップの前記第1の表面は、前記テールキャップが前記懐中電灯筒に固定されて前記適合した機械的嵌合を形成するように、圧縮される衝撃吸収材料からなる、請求項6に記載の懐中電灯。
- 調整可能な機械的保持デバイスが、前記適合した機械的嵌合を形成する、請求項6に記載の懐中電灯。
- 前記調整可能な機械的保持デバイスは前記テールキャップからなり、前記テールキャップは、
前記懐中電灯筒の前記第2の端部の前記筒ねじ山にねじ込む内側部材、及び
前記懐中電灯筒の前記第2の端部の前記筒ねじ山にねじ込む外側部材
からなり、
前記外側部材は、前記内側部材を前記筒の前記第2の端部に押し込み、そして、前記内側部材から係合解除され、前記懐中電灯筒の前記第2の端部を閉鎖するように使用されることができる、請求項8に記載の懐中電灯。 - 前記懐中電灯筒内に直列で保持された電池の各対について、第1の電池の第2の端部が第2の電池の第1の端部に接触するのを防止するのに十分な厚さを有するスペーサー、及び
各スペーサーについて、前記第1の電池の第2の端部と前記第2の電池の第1の端部との間に弾性のある電気接触を提供するための弾性のある接点
を更に備える、請求項6に記載の懐中電灯。 - 前記スペーサーは衝撃吸収材料からなる、請求項10に記載の懐中電灯。
- 前記複数の電池は再充電可能であり、ケースによって一体のユニットとして共に保持されている、請求項6に記載の懐中電灯。
- 前記端子端部と前記電気回路内のテールキャップ接触点との間に電気接触を提供するためのテールキャップ弾性接点を更に備え、前記テールキャップ弾性接点は、前記懐中電灯が静止位置にある場合に、1ポンド未満の接触力を前記端子端部に加える、請求項6に記載の懐中電灯。
- 前記テールキャップ弾性接点はばねからなり、前記接触力は、約0.5ポンドの最小接触力を有する、請求項13に記載の懐中電灯。
- 熱伝導性の外装筐体ケースと、
懐中電灯筒内に含まれる発光ダイオード(「LED」)パッケージであって、前記LEDパッケージは、基板上に設置されたLEDダイ、前記LEDダイに電力を供給するための第1の導電性接点、前記LEDダイに電力を供給するための第2の導電性接点、及び外装接点であって、熱を前記LEDダイから前記外装接点に伝達するための外装接点を伴うLEDパッケージヒートシンクを備え、前記LEDダイは、電力が前記第1及び前記第2の導電性接点に印加される場合に前記懐中電灯筒の第1の端部から発光する、LEDパッケージと、
前記外装筐体ケース内に保持されたヒートシンクアセンブリであって、
熱伝導性であり、前記外装筐体ケースに機械的に接続されている外側の導電性部材、
前記外側の導電性部材内に保持されている電気的絶縁材料、及び
前記電気的絶縁材料によって前記外側の導電性部材から電気的に絶縁されて位置決めされている内側の導電性部材
を備えるヒートシンクアセンブリと
を備える照明装置であって、
前記LEDパッケージの前記第1の導電性部材は、前記外側の導電性部材の上面に電気的に結合され、前記LEDパッケージの前記第2の導電性部材は、前記内側の導電性部材に電気的に結合され、
前記外装接点は、プリント回路基板(「PCB」)を使用することなく、前記外側の導電性部材の前記上面に熱的に結合され、
前記LEDパッケージは、電気回路からの電力が前記外側の導電性部材及び前記内側の導電性部材に印加される場合にオンにされ、
熱経路が、前記外装筐体ケースと前記LEDパッケージの前記外装接点との間に形成され、前記外装筐体ケースと前記LEDパッケージの前記外装接点との間に2つ以下の熱接合部を含む、照明装置。 - 前記電気回路に電力を供給する電池電源であって、前記電池電源は、外側の缶ケース及び電気接触キャップを伴う端子端部を有し、前記電気接触キャップは、端子キャップ電気コネクタによって前記電気回路内で電気的に接続され、前記外側の缶ケースと電池電源保持デバイスとの間に形成された適合した機械的嵌合によって、前記照明装置の電池コンパートメント内に保持されている電池電源
を更に備える、請求項15に記載の照明器具。 - 前記電池電源保持デバイスは、前記電池電源保持デバイスの表面によって前記外側の缶ケースに対して加えられる力を変動させるように調整可能である、請求項16に記載の照明器具。
- 前記電池電源は、前記電池コンパートメント内に直列構成で保持された複数の電池からなり、前記複数の電池の各々は、カソード、アノード、及び集電体を保持する金属缶からなり、前記缶は、第1の極性を有する第1の接点を伴う第1の端部、及び第2の極性を有する第2の接点を伴う第2の端部を有する、請求項17に記載の照明装置。
- 前記電池コンパートメント内に直列で保持された電池の各対について、第1の電池の第2の端部が第2の電池の第1の端部に接触するのを防止するのに十分な厚さを有するスペーサー、及び
各スペーサーについて、前記第1の電池の第2の端部と前記第2の電池の第1の端部との間に弾性のある電気接触を提供するための弾性のある接点
を更に備える、請求項18に記載の照明装置。 - 前記端子キャップ電気コネクタは、前記照明装置が静止位置にある場合に、1ポンド未満の接触力で前記電気接触キャップに対して付勢される、請求項18に記載の照明器具。
