図1~12は、2014年12月24日にPCT公開番号WO2014204894として公開された、バイアル輸送と注射器具と方法と題するPCT国際出願番号PCT/US2014/042627からの例示的な図であり、背景技術と一般的な開示の目的のために含まれている。
図13~24に示される本主題に従えば、移送および/または混合と再懸濁は、予め充填された圧力シリンダまたはカートリッジの形態であり得る圧力容器のような加圧気体源によって推進される。これは、上述の移動可能なばね付勢のピストンを有する可変体積の圧力室またはシリンダの除去を許容し、移送と混合/再懸濁器具の費用と大きさの潜在的な低減を与える。

Claims (14)
- 隔壁によって封止される1つの開口端を有する型のバイアルの薬剤内容物を再懸濁するための再懸濁装置であって、
希釈剤ポートと、
気体ポートと、
通気ポートと、
バイアル受容ステーションと、
バイアルが前記バイアル受容ステーションに受容される時にバイアル隔壁を穿孔するために前記バイアル受容ステーションから延びる第1のスパイクルーメンと第2のスパイクルーメンと、
前記気体ポートと前記第1のスパイクルーメンとの間で連通している気体流路と、
前記希釈剤ポートと前記第1のスパイクルーメンとの間で連通している希釈剤流路と、
前記通気ポートと前記第2のスパイクルーメンとの間で連通している通気流路と、
前記通気流路を通過する気体をろ過して前記通気流路から液体が漏れるのを実質的に防ぐために前記通気流路に協働的に関連付けられている疎水性フィルタと、
前記気体ポートに接続される加圧気体源とを含むハウジングを備える、再懸濁装置。 - それぞれ前記第1のスパイクルーメンと前記気体ポートの間と前記第1のスパイクルーメンと前記希釈剤ポートとの間に、前記第1のスパイクルーメンの上流に前記気体流路と前記希釈剤流路との間の流れ接合部と、気体および/または希釈剤の流れを制御するために前記流れ接合部に関連付けられた弁とを備える、請求項1に記載の再懸濁装置。
- 前記第1のスパイクルーメンと前記第2のスパイクルーメンは単一の穿孔スパイク内に規定されている、請求項1に記載の再懸濁装置。
- 前記第1のスパイクルーメンは第1の穿孔スパイク内に規定され、前記第2のスパイクルーメンは別個の第2の穿孔スパイク内に規定されている、請求項1に記載の再懸濁装置。
- 前記第2のスパイクルーメンは前記第1のスパイクルーメンより、前記受容ステーションに受容されたバイアル中にさらに延びるようにより長い、請求項1に記載の再懸濁装置。
- 前記バイアルが前記第1のスパイクルーメンの開口部と前記第2のスパイクルーメンの開口部との間の高さの希釈剤を含むとき、前記第1のスパイクルーメンは再懸濁の間希釈剤の高さよりも下になるようにバイアル内で開くように構成され、前記第2のスパイクルーメンは再懸濁の間希釈剤の高さよりも上になる位置においてバイアルの中に開くように構成されている、請求項1に記載の再懸濁装置。
- 前記第1のスパイクルーメンはバイアル隔壁の近くの位置においてバイアル中で開くように構成され、前記第2のスパイクルーメンはバイアル隔壁から実質的に離間した位置でバイアル中で開くように構成されている、請求項1に記載の再懸濁装置。
- 請求項1に記載の再懸濁装置を用いてバイアルの薬剤内容物を再懸濁する方法であって、
薬剤内容物を含むバイアルを逆向きに前記バイアルステーションに受容させ、
前記バイアルステーションに受容された前記バイアルに、前記希釈剤ポートから前記第1のスパイクルーメンと前記希釈剤流路を通して希釈剤を導入し、
前記加圧気体源から前記気体ポートと前記気体流路と前記第1のスパイクルーメンを通して圧力下で気体を前記バイアルの中に、前記希釈剤を撹拌させるために前記バイアルの中の前記希釈剤の高さよりも下に注入し、
逆向きにされた前記バイアルの底部に向かって上昇した前記注入された前記気体を、前記第2のスパイクルーメンを通して前記バイアルから排出し、
薬剤内容物が実質的に再懸濁されるまで前記注入と前記排出を継続することを含む、方法。 - 前記気体の排出に伴う液体の漏出を実質的に防ぐことを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記気体の排出は、前記バイアルからの液体の漏出を実質的に防ぐために前記疎水フィルタを通過させられる、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記気体は前記希釈剤の高さよりも上の高さにおいて前記第2のスパイクルーメンを通して前記バイアルから排出される、請求項8に記載の方法。

- 前記バイアルの薬剤内容物は凍結乾燥材料を含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記気体は実質的に病原体を含まない、請求項8に記載の方法。
