Description

上記複数の除細動電極セグメントは波状構成の少なくとも80%に沿って配置されている、態様1に記載のリードである。
[態様3]
上記複数の除細動電極セグメントは波状構成の少なくとも90%に沿って配置されている、態様1に記載のリードである。
[態様4]
上記波状構成が複数のピークを含み、上記複数のピークの第1の部分は上記リードの主軸である長手方向軸から離れて第1の方向に延び、上記複数のピークの第2の部分は上記リードの上記主軸である長手方向軸から離れて第2の反対方向に延びており、上記複数の除細動電極セグメントは上記複数のピークの上記第1の部分に沿って配置され、上記少なくとも1つの電極は上記複数のピークの上記第2の部分上に配置されている、態様1から態様3の何れかに記載のリードである。
[態様5]
上記波状構成が複数のピークを含み、上記複数のピークの第1の部分は上記リードの主軸である長手方向軸から離れて第1の方向に延び、上記複数のピークの第2の部分は上記リードの上記主軸である長手方向軸から離れて第2の反対方向に延びており、上記複数の除細動電極セグメントは上記複数のピークの少なくとも一部分に沿って配置され、上記少なくとも1つの電極は上記波状部分のピーク間の一部分に沿って配置されている、上記態様1から態様3の何れかに記載のリードである。
[態様6]
上記波状構成の上記複数のピークは共通の平面内にある、上記態様4から態様5の何れかに記載のリードである。
[態様7]
上記リードが上記リード本体内に配置されている導体を更に含んでおり、上記複数の除細動電極セグメントは上記導体へ電気的に連結されている、態様1から態様6の何れかに記載のリードである。
[態様8]
上記複数の除細動電極セグメントが第1の除細動電極セグメント及び第2の除細動電極セグメントを含んでおり、上記リードは、更に、
上記リード本体内に配置されていて上記第1の除細動電極セグメントへ電気的に接続されている第1の導体と、
上記リード本体内に配置されていて上記第2の除細動電極セグメントへ電気的に接続されている第2の導体と、
を備えている、態様1から態様7の何れかに記載のリードである。

上記少なくとも1つの電極が少なくとも2つの電極を備えており、上記少なくとも2つの電極は上記リードの主軸である長手方向軸に沿って配置されている、態様1から態様8の何れかに記載のリードである。
[態様10]
上記波状構成は実質的に正弦波構成を画定している、態様1から態様9の何れかに記載のリードである。
[態様11]
上記少なくとも1つの電極は、上記複数の除細動電極セグメントの隣接するセグメントとの間で電気パルスを伝導するように構成されている、態様1から態様10の何れかに記載のリードである。
[態様12]
上記除細動電極セグメントのうちの最も近位のセグメントより近位と上記除細動電極セグメントのうちの最も遠位のセグメントより遠位、のうち少なくとも一方に配置されている少なくとも1つの追加の電極であって、ペーシングパルスを上記心臓へ送達することと上記心臓の心臓電気活動を感知することのうち少なくとも一方を行うように構成されている少なくとも1つの追加の電極、を更に備えている態様1から態様11の何れかに記載のリードである。

態様1から態様12の何れかによる血管外電気刺激リードにおいて上記複数の除細動電極セグメントが第1の除細動電極セグメント及び第2の除細動電極セグメントを含んでいる、血管外電気刺激リードと、
上記血管外電気刺激リードへ連結されている血管外植え込み型カーディオバータ-除細動器(ICD)であって、
電気刺激療法を生成し心臓へ送達するように構成されている療法モジュール、及び、
上記療法モジュールを、上記第1の除細動電極セグメントと上記第2の除細動電極セグメントの両方が同時に共通の極性で機能して除細動療法を送達する電極ベクトルへ、選択的に連結するように構成されているスイッチモジュール、
を含むICDと、
を備えている血管外植え込み型カーディオバータ-除細動器(ICD)システムである。
[態様14]
上記スイッチモジュールは、上記療法モジュールを、上記第1の除細動電極セグメントと上記第2の除細動電極セグメントの少なくとも一方を含んでいる第2の電極ベクトルへ連結し、当該療法モジュールは上記第2の電極ベクトルを使用するペーシング療法を送達する、態様13に記載の血管外ICDシステムである。
[態様15]
上記第2の電極ベクトルは、当該電極ベクトルの第1の極性としての上記第1の除細動電極セグメントと、当該電極ベクトルの第2の反対の極性としての上記第2の除細動電極セグメントと、を含んでいる、態様14に記載の血管外ICDシステムである。

Claims (4)
- 近位端及び遠位部分を画定しているリード本体であって、当該リード本体の前記遠位部分の少なくとも一部が波状構成を画定している、リード本体と、
前記波状構成に沿って互いから或る距離だけ離間して配置されている複数の除細動電極セグメントを含む除細動電極と、
前記複数の除細動セグメントの隣接するセグメント間に配置されている少なくとも1つの電極であって、ペーシングパルスを心臓へ送達することと前記心臓の心臓電気活動を感知することのうち少なくとも一方を行うように構成されている少なくとも1つの電極と、を備え、
前記複数の除細動セグメントの隣接するセグメントは、前記波状構成の一方の側のピーク側と、前記波状構成の前記一方の側のピークと対向する側のピーク側とにそれぞれ位置し、
前記少なくとも1つの電極は、前記波状構成の一方の側のピークと他方の側のピークとの中央に位置し、
前記少なくとも1つの電極は、前記波状構成に沿って、前記除細動電極セグメントより患者の心臓により近くなる場所に配置されている、
血管外植え込み型医用電気リード。 - 前記波状構成は実質的に正弦波構成を画定しており、前記複数の除細動電極セグメントは波状構成の少なくとも80%に沿って配置されている、請求項1に記載のリード。
- 前記リードが、前記除細動電極セグメントのうちの最も近位のセグメントより近位と前記除細動電極セグメントのうちの最も遠位のセグメントより遠位、のうち少なくとも一方に配置されている少なくとも1つの追加の電極であって、ペーシングパルスを前記心臓へ送達することと前記心臓の心臓電気活動を感知することのうち少なくとも一方を行うように構成されている少なくとも1つの追加の電極、を更に備えている、請求項1又は請求項2の何れか一項に記載のリード。
- 請求項1から請求項3の何れか一項による血管外電気刺激リードにおいて前記複数の除細動電極セグメントが第1の除細動電極セグメント及び第2の除細動電極セグメントを含んでいる血管外電気刺激リードであって、
前記リード本体内に配置されていて前記第1の除細動電極セグメントへ電気的に接続されている第1の導体、及び、
前記リード本体内に配置されていて前記第2の除細動電極セグメントへ電気的に接続されている第2の導体、
を更に備える血管外電気刺激リードと、
前記血管外電気刺激リードへ連結されている血管外植え込み型カーディオバータ-除細動器(ICD)であって、
電気刺激療法を生成し心臓へ送達するように構成されている療法モジュール、及び、
前記療法モジュールを、前記第1の除細動電極セグメントと前記第2の除細動電極セグメントの両方が同時に共通の極性で機能して除細動療法を送達する第1の電極ベクトルへ選択的に連結するように、及び前記療法モジュールを、第2の電極ベクトルであって当該第2の電極ベクトルの第1の極性としての前記第1の除細動電極セグメントと当該第2の電極ベクトルの第2の反対の極性としての前記第2の除細動電極セグメントと、を含んでいる第2の電極ベクトルへ選択的に連結するように、構成されているスイッチモジュール、
を含むICDと、
を備えている血管外植え込み型カーディオバータ-除細動器(ICD)システム。
