Description
本願は、2016年4月28日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/329158号明細書、及び2017年4月11日に出願された米国特許出願第15/484990号明細書の利益を主張する。上記出願の開示内容は、その全体が本明細書の一部をなす。
Claims (20)
- 上側キャビティと下側キャビティとを画定する外容器であって、前記上側キャビティは、未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片を受け取るように構成されている頂部開口部と、底部開口とを有する内容器を備える、外容器と、
前記上側キャビティと前記下側キャビティとの間にあり、前記上側キャビティから前記下側キャビティへの前記未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片の分配を調節するように構成されている分配機構であって、
ベースプレートと、
長手方向軸を有するとともに、前記ベースプレートから前記底部開口に向かって垂直に延在し、前記ベースプレートと前記内容器の前記底部開口との間に画定された円周間隙の中に入る、回転シャフトと、
前記円周間隙の中に延在するとともに、回転することにより、前記円周間隙を通して前記未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片を移動させるように構成されている1つ又は複数の回転部材と、
を備える分配機構と、
前記下側キャビティからホットメルト接着剤メルターに前記未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片を連通させるように構成されている移送導管と、
を備える、ホットメルト接着剤供給システム。 - 前記1つ又は複数の回転部材は、前記回転シャフトの下部から前記長手方向軸に対して垂直に延在し、前記下部は、外部にあるとともに前記上側キャビティの下にある、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ又は複数の回転部材のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記ベースプレートに対して平行な方向に湾曲している、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記回転シャフトは、前記1つ又は複数の回転部材のうちの前記少なくとも1つの回転部材の凸側に向かう方向に回転する、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記分配機構は、前記回転シャフトの上部から前記長手方向軸に対して垂直に延在する1つ又は複数の上側回転部材を更に備え、前記回転シャフトの前記上部は前記内容器内に位置している、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ又は複数の上側回転部材のうちの少なくとも1つは可撓性である、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ又は複数の上側回転部材は、第1の上側回転部材、第2の上側回転部材及び第3の上側回転部材を含み、前記第1の上側回転部材、前記第2の上側回転部材及び前記第3の上側回転部材のそれぞれは、前記長手方向軸に対して垂直に、前記回転シャフトにおいて互いにオフセットされている、請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の上側回転部材、前記第2の上側回転部材及び前記第3の上側回転部材は、前記回転シャフトにおいて、周方向に互いから等距離に配置される、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記分配機構は、前記ベースプレートの直径よりも大きい直径を有するとともに、開放位置と閉鎖位置との間で可動である円筒形ゲートを更に備え、該円筒形ゲートは、前記閉鎖位置では、前記円周間隙に実質的に重なり、前記円周間隙を実質的に塞ぎ、前記開放位置では、前記円周間隙に実質的に重ならない、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記分配機構は、前記円筒形ゲートに接続された弾性アクチュエーターを更に備え、該弾性アクチュエーターは、外力が該弾性アクチュエーターに加わらない場合、前記円筒形ゲートを前記閉鎖位置へ移動させる、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記分配機構は、前記ベースプレートに接続され、前記円筒形ゲートを摺動式に覆う可撓性カーテンを更に備える、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記内容器は可撓性材料を含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 圧縮プレートと、
前記圧縮プレートに作動的に接続されたアクチュエーターと、
を更に備え、前記圧縮プレートは、前記アクチュエーターの動作に際して、前記内容器内の前記ホットメルト接着剤片を操作するように構成されている、請求項12に記載のシステム。 - 前記内容器は、該内容器における未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片のレベルを検出するように構成されているレベルセンサーを備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記下側キャビティは、移送機構に通じる漏斗部を備え、前記移送機構は、前記移送導管を通して前記未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片を移動させるように構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記移送機構は、前記移送導管を通して前記未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片を移動させるために空気流を発生させるエダクター又は空気ポンプを備える、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記下側キャビティは、前記漏斗部における未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片のレベルを検出するように構成されているレベルセンサーを備える、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記レベルセンサーは、前記分配機構に通信接続し、前記分配機構は、前記漏斗部における前記未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片のレベルが所定の閾値を超えたことを前記レベルセンサーが検出するのに応じて、前記1つ又は複数の回転部材が回転する速度を低減するように構成されている、請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 前記レベルセンサーは、前記分配機構に通信接続し、前記分配機構は、前記漏斗部における前記未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片のレベルが所定の閾値を超えたことを前記レベルセンサーが検出するのに応じて、前記未溶融ホットメルト接着剤片の分配を停止するように構成されている、請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 前記漏斗部は、空気駆動バイブレーターを有して構成される、請求項15に記載のシステム。
