Description
実施の形態を説明する前に、本発明者が上記課題を解決すべく検討した他の繊維接合装置400について、図9を参照して説明する。繊維接合装置400は、クランプによる繊維把持機構401を備え、図示しない第1の位置、すなわち後続する繊維である第2の繊維4の始端部側をクリップした位置から、図示しないガイド機構によって、図9(a)に示す第2の位置、すなわち先行する繊維である第1の繊維3の終端部側が支持台1の上に保持されている位置まで、位置制御しながら位置移動させるようにした。それにより、かなりの高い精度での、第1の繊維3の終端部側に対する第2の繊維4の始端部側の位置決めが可能となった。

Claims (4)
- 樹脂が含浸した第1の繊維と第2の繊維とを接合する装置であって、
前記第1の繊維の終端部側を保持可能な支持台と、
前記第2の繊維の始端部側を巻き付けることのできる繊維保持用ローラを備えた繊維保持用ローラ機構と、
前記第2の繊維の始端部側を前記繊維保持用ローラに巻き付けた状態の前記繊維保持用ローラ機構を、前記支持台上に保持された前記第1の繊維の終端部側の近傍まで移動させる第1の移動と、前記第1の移動の後に前記繊維保持用ローラ機構を前記第1の繊維の終端部側上でさらに移動させることで前記第2の繊維の始端部側を前記第1の繊維の終端部側上に積層した状態とする第2の移動と、を行わせる繊維保持用ローラ機構移動機構と、 前記支持台上で積層した前記第1の繊維の終端部側と前記第2の繊維の始端部側とを一体に圧着することのできる圧着機構と、
を少なくとも備えることを特徴とする繊維接合装置。 - 請求項1に記載の装置であって、前記繊維保持用ローラが前記第2の繊維の始端部側を巻き付けた状態は前記第2の繊維の始端部側を前記繊維保持用ローラに該ローラの一周分よりも多く巻き付けた状態であることを特徴とする繊維接合装置。
- 請求項1または2に記載の装置であって、前記繊維保持用ローラ機構は前記繊維保持用ローラの回転を規制する回転規制機構をさらに備え、前記繊維保持用ローラ機構移動機構は前記回転規制機構で回転が規制された状態で前記第1の移動を行い、前記回転規制機構での規制が解放された状態で前記第2の移動を行うことを特徴とする繊維接合装置。
- 樹脂が含浸した第1の繊維と第2の繊維とを接合する方法であって、
前記第1の繊維の終端部側を支持台上に保持する工程と、
前記第2の繊維の始端部側を繊維保持用ローラに一周分よりも多く巻き付ける工程と、 前記第2の繊維の始端部側を巻き付けた前記繊維保持用ローラを前記支持台上に保持された前記第1の繊維の終端部側上に保持する工程と、
前記繊維保持用ローラが前記第1の繊維の終端部側上に載った状態で、前記巻き付ける工程において前記繊維保持用ローラに巻き付けた前記第2の繊維の始端部側が前記繊維保持用ローラの回転により前記繊維保持用ローラから巻き出されて第1の繊維の終端部側上に積層される方向に前記繊維保持用ローラを移動させる工程と、
積層した前記第1の繊維の終端部側と前記第2の繊維の始端部側とを一体に接合する工程と、を少なくとも含むことを特徴とする繊維接合方法。
