(a)第一のガラスペイン(1)、

(d)一の又は複数のポリマー層(6)、及び
(e)第二のガラスペイン(7)、
ここで、PDLC層の場合の液晶液滴、又はSPD層の場合の懸濁液滴が、2μmを超える平均粒径を有することを特徴とする。好ましくは、PDLC層の場合の液晶液滴、又はSPD層の場合の懸濁液滴が、30%を超える相対標準偏差で、2μmを超える平均粒径を有する。
本明細書に開示される発明は以下の態様を含む:

[2]前記液晶液滴又は前記懸濁液滴の前記平均粒径の相対標準偏差が、30%を超える、上記[1]に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
[3]前記液晶液滴又は前記懸濁液滴の前記平均粒径が12μm以下であり、好ましくは、前記液晶液滴又は前記懸濁液滴の前記平均粒径が3〜10μmである、上記[1]又は[2]に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
[4]前記液晶液滴又は前記懸濁液滴の前記平均粒径の相対標準偏差が、80%以下である、上記[1]〜[3]のいずれか一つに記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
[5]前記液晶液滴が、室温でネマチックであり、かつ正の誘電異方性を有する、上記[1]〜[4]のいずれか一つに記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
[6]前記液晶液滴及び前記ポリマーマトリックスのポリマーの合計重量に対する、前記PDLC層における前記液晶液滴の割合が、40〜70重量%である、上記[1]〜[5]のいずれか一つに記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
[7]前記ポリマーマトリックスが、一の又は複数の、ビニル若しくは(メタ)アクリレートモノマーのポリマー;及び任意に、ビニル若しくは(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、エポキシ樹脂、又はウレタン樹脂から形成されている、上記[1]〜[6]のいずれか一つに記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。

Claims (15)
- 以下をこの順序で含む、乗り物ウィンドウペイン:
(a)第一のガラスペイン(1)、
(b)一の又は複数のポリマー層(2)、
(c)液晶液滴(8)が組み込まれたポリマーマトリックス(9)を含むPDLC層(4)であって、前記PDLC層の両側のそれぞれに導電層(3、5)が配置されているPDLC層、又は偏光粒子が懸濁した懸濁液滴が組み込まれたポリマーマトリックスを含むSPD層であって、前記SPD層の両側のそれぞれに導電層が配置されているSPD層、
(d)一の又は複数のポリマー層(6)、及び
(e)第二のガラスペイン(7)、
ここで、前記PDLC層の場合の前記液晶液滴、又は前記SPD層の場合の前記懸濁液滴が、前記PDLC層又は前記SPD層の断面の走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)画像における、少なくとも50個の前記液晶液滴又は前記懸濁液滴の直径を測定し、かつ前記画像から測定した前記直径の算術平均を計算することによって測定したときに、2μmを超える平均粒径を有し、かつ前記液晶液滴又は前記懸濁液滴の前記平均粒径の相対標準偏差が、30%を超えることを特徴とする。 - 前記液晶液滴又は前記懸濁液滴の前記平均粒径が12μm以下である、請求項1に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。

- 前記液晶液滴又は前記懸濁液滴の前記平均粒径の相対標準偏差が、80%以下である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
- 前記液晶液滴が、室温でネマチックであり、かつ正の誘電異方性を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
- 前記液晶液滴及び前記ポリマーマトリックスのポリマーの合計重量に対する、前記PDLC層における前記液晶液滴の割合が、40〜70重量%である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
- 前記ポリマーマトリックスが、一の又は複数の、ビニル若しくは(メタ)アクリレートモノマーのポリマー;及び任意に、ビニル若しくは(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、エポキシ樹脂、又はウレタン樹脂から形成されている、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
- 前記ポリマーマトリックスが、少なくとも一つの単官能性ビニル化合物;少なくとも一つの二官能性ビニル化合物;及び任意に、少なくとも一つの、単官能性の、二官能性の、又は多官能性のビニルオリゴマーから形成されている、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
- 一の又は複数の前記ポリマー層(2、6)のうちの少なくとも一つが、ポリビニルブチラール、エチレンビニルアセテート、ポリウレタン、及び/又はそれらの混合物、及び/又はそれらのコポリマーを含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。

- 前記乗り物ウィンドウペインが、自動車ウィンドウペインである、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の乗り物ウィンドウペイン。
- 請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の、少なくとも一つの乗り物ウィンドウペインを含む乗り物であって、自動車である乗り物。
- 乗り物ウィンドウペインとしての請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載のペインの使用であって、サンルーフにおける、ガラスルーフとしての、リアウィンドウとしての、ウィンドシールドのB領域におけるルーフエッジとしての、又はリアウィンドウ若しくはフロントサイドウィンドウとしての、使用。
- 前記ペインが透明な状態において、コロナ効果を低減するための、及び/又はレインボー効果を低減するための、請求項14に記載の使用。
