Description
図1は、この開示の原理により構築されたフィルタ要素が用いられ得る1つの例示的適用形態を示す。ダストコレクタ10がハウジング12を含む。ハウジング12は、矢印16で示されるとおり、濾過されていない、または汚れた空気を取り込むための入口14を有する。ハウジング12は内部に汚れた空気プレナム18を画定する。汚れた空気プレナム18はまた、この開示の原理により構築された複数のフィルタ要素20が据え付けられる場所である。フィルタ要素20は、汚れた空気プレナム18における空気から粒子(例えばダスト)を除去する。
図2〜11は、ダストコレクタ10において使用可能なフィルタ要素20の例示的実施形態の図である。フィルタ要素20はプリーツ付メディア50の構造を含む。プリーツ付メディア50は内部容積54を画定する管状形状52であり得る。管状形状52は、円形、非円形、楕円、卵形、長方形、楕円形、またはレーストラック形など閉鎖ループを形成する任意の形状であり得る。図2〜4に示される実施形態において、フィルタ要素20は、それが湾曲した端部58、59により接合された対向する平行な側部56、57の対を有するという点でレーストラック形である。図13〜16の実施形態において、フィルタ要素20は円筒形であり、プリーツ付メディア50が略円形の断面を有する円筒形である。
要素20は濾過の方法において使用可能である。ダストコレクタ、例えばコレクタ10が提供される。汚れた空気は、汚れた空気入口14を通って、汚れた空気プレナム18に入り、次いでフィルタ要素20の少なくとも1つを通って流れる。フィルタ要素20は、空気がプリーツ付メディア50の上流側から下流側へ流れるときに汚れおよび粒子を空気から濾過または除去する。清浄な濾過された空気は、清浄空気出口26を通ってダストコレクタ10を出る前に、プリーツ付メディア50の下流側を通り、開いた端部キャップ72の開口73を通り、清浄空気プレナム22内へ流れる。
Claims (10)
- フィルタ要素であって、
(a)内部容積を画定するプリーツ付フィルタメディアの構造と、
(b)前記フィルタメディアの対向端部に固定された第1および第2対向端部キャップと、
(c)前記内部容積において作動可能に方向付けられた前記フィルタメディアを支持する支持構造と
を含み、
(i)前記支持構造が前記第1端部キャップと前記第2端部キャップとの間の全延長未満だけ延在する、フィルタ要素。 - (a)前記支持構造がプリーツ付構造を含む、請求項1に記載のフィルタ要素。
- (a)前記プリーツ付構造が、前記プリーツ付フィルタメディアのプリーツの方向に略平行に延在するプリーツを有する、請求項2に記載のフィルタ要素。
- (a)前記プリーツ付構造が半剛性のプリーツ付スクリーンを含む、請求項2または3に記載のフィルタ要素。
- (a)前記プリーツ付構造がその対向側部に穿孔された表面仕上げを含む、請求項2〜4のいずれか一項に記載のフィルタ要素。
- 前記支持構造が非金属である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のフィルタ要素。
- (a)前記支持構造が、複数の交差ブレースで一緒に接続された間隔をあけて配された複数の多孔質円柱を含む押出成形された構造である、請求項1に記載のフィルタ要素。
- ダストコレクタであって、
(a)ハウジングであって、汚れた空気入口と、汚れた空気プレナムと、清浄空気出口と、清浄空気プレナムと、前記汚れた空気プレナムを前記清浄空気プレナムから分離する管板とを有するハウジングと、
(b)前記管板において着脱可能に据え付けられた請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の複数のフィルタ要素と
を含むダストコレクタ。 - (a)前記フィルタ要素を洗浄するために、前記フィルタ要素の下流側から上流側へ、前記フィルタ要素内へガスのパルスを放出するために据え付けられた洗浄システムをさらに含む、請求項8に記載のダストコレクタ。
- 濾過の方法であって、
(a)請求項8または9に記載のダストコレクタを提供することと、
(b)流体を、前記プリーツ付フィルタメディアを通って前記内部容積内へ流れるように導くことと、
(c)前記流体が前記プリーツ付フィルタメディアを通って流れている一方で、前記支持構造を使用することにより前記フィルタメディアが共に崩壊することを防ぐために、前記フィルタメディアを支持することと、
(d)ガスのパルスを前記フィルタ要素の前記内部容積内へ定期的に放出することと、前記プリーツ付フィルタメディアが拡張することを可能にするとともに前記フィルタ要素が軸方向に収縮することを可能にすることと
を含む方法。
