Description
(1) 変換器及び該変換器に接続された近位端とハウジングの外部に音波エネルギーを伝達するように配置及び構成された遠位端とを有する細長いホーンを含む音波発生器と、該音波発生器に接続された電源と、を格納した前記ハウジングを有する手持ち式装置を使用してエアロゾルミストを発生させる方法であって、
a)第1の単位用量カプセルを前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端に接続する工程であって、前記カプセルが、
i)前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と分離可能に係合し、変形可能な膜を通じて音波エネルギーを伝達するように構成された前記変形可能な膜を有する第1の部分と、
ii)少なくとも1つのノズルを有する第2の部分であって、前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と接続される際に外側に面した向きで配置される、第2の部分と、
iii)前記少なくとも1つのノズルと連通した、液体組成物が入れられたリザーバと、を有するものである、工程と、
b)前記音波発生器に通電することによって前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端に接続された前記第1のカプセルに音波エネルギーを供給してエアロゾルミストを発生させる工程であって、
i)前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端を前記変形可能な膜と係合させ、
ii)前記変形可能な膜を通じて前記液体組成物に音波エネルギーを伝達することにより、前記液体を前記少なくとも1つのノズルから押し出すことによってエアロゾルミストを発生させる、工程と、
c)前記第1の単位用量カプセルを前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端から取り外す工程と、
d)第2の単位用量カプセルを前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端に接続する工程と、
e)前記音波発生器に通電することによって前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端内に接続された前記第2の単位用量カプセルに音波エネルギーを供給する工程と、を含む、方法。
(2) 前記第2の単位用量カプセルが、前記第1の単位用量カプセルとほぼ同じものであり、実質上同じ液体組成物を含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(3) 前記第2の単位用量カプセルが、前記第1の単位用量カプセルとほぼ同じものであり、第2の液体組成物を含む、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(4) 前記単位用量カプセルの前記第1の部分が前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と直接係合させられる、実施態様1に記載の方法。
(5) a)ハウジングを有する手持ち式ミスト噴霧装置であって、該ハウジングが、
i)変換器及び該変換器に接続された近位端と前記ハウジングの外部に音波エネルギーを伝達するように配置及び構成された遠位端とを有する細長いホーンを含む音波発生器と、
ii)前記音波発生器に接続された電源と、を格納するように配置及び構成されている、手持ち式ミスト噴霧装置と、
b)少なくとも1つの単位用量カプセルであって、
i)前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と分離可能に係合するように構成された変形可能な膜を有する第1の部分と、
ii)少なくとも1つのノズルを有する第2の部分であって、前記単位用量カプセルが前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と係合される際に外側に面した向きで配置される、前記カプセルの第2の部分と、
iii)前記少なくとも1つのノズルと連通した、第1の液体組成物が入れられたリザーバと、を有する、単位用量カプセルと、を含む、キット。
(7) 前記ハウジングが、前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端の近くに配置されたレセプタクルを有し、前記単位用量カプセルを分離可能に収容するように配置及び構成されている、実施態様5に記載のキット。
(8) 音波発生器とともに使用される単位用量カプセルであって、
a)前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と分離可能に係合するように構成された変形可能な膜と、
b)前記変形可能な膜から離間した関係で配置された少なくとも1つの供給開口部を有するノズルであって、前記単位用量カプセルが前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と係合させられる際に外側に面した向きで配置される、ノズルと、
c)前記少なくとも1つのノズルと連通した、液体組成物が入れられたリザーバと、を有する、単位用量カプセル。
Claims (8)
- 変換器及び該変換器に接続された近位端とハウジングの外部に音波エネルギーを伝達するように配置及び構成された遠位端とを有する細長いホーンを含む音波発生器と、該音波発生器に接続された電源と、を格納した前記ハウジングを有する手持ち式装置を使用してエアロゾルミストを発生させる方法であって、
a)第1の単位用量カプセルを前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端に接続する工程であって、前記第1の単位用量カプセルが、
i)前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と分離可能に係合し、変形可能な膜を通じて音波エネルギーを伝達するように構成された前記変形可能な膜を有する第1の部分と、
ii)少なくとも1つのノズルを有する第2の部分であって、前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と接続される際に外側に面した向きで配置される、第2の部分と、
iii)前記少なくとも1つのノズルと連通した、液体組成物が入れられたリザーバと、を有するものである、工程と、
b)前記音波発生器に通電することによって前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端に接続された前記第1の単位用量カプセルに音波エネルギーを供給してエアロゾルミストを発生させる工程であって、
i)前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端を前記変形可能な膜と係合させ、
ii)前記変形可能な膜を通じて前記液体組成物に音波エネルギーを伝達することにより、前記液体組成物を前記少なくとも1つのノズルから押し出すことによってエアロゾルミストを発生させる、工程と、
c)前記第1の単位用量カプセルを前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端から取り外す工程と、
d)第2の単位用量カプセルを前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端に接続する工程と、
e)前記音波発生器に通電することによって前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端内に接続された前記第2の単位用量カプセルに音波エネルギーを供給する工程と、を含み、
前記第1の単位用量カプセルおよび前記第2の単位用量カプセルは、直径よりも小さい厚さを有する円筒状のリザーバである、方法。 - 前記第2の単位用量カプセルが、前記第1の単位用量カプセルとほぼ同じものであり、実質上同じ液体組成物を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の単位用量カプセルが、前記第1の単位用量カプセルとほぼ同じものであり、第2の液体組成物を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の単位用量カプセルの前記第1の部分が前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と直接係合させられる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記手持ち式装置と、前記第1の単位用量カプセルと、前記第2の単位用量カプセルとで、キットを構成する、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記第1の単位用量カプセルと前記第2の単位用量カプセルとを含む複数の単位用量カプセルがリボルバーに動作可能に連結され、前記リボルバーが、前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端と係合するように各単位用量カプセルを割り出すように配置及び構成されている、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記ハウジングが、前記細長いホーンの前記遠位端の近くに配置されたレセプタクルを有し、前記複数の単位用量カプセルの各々を分離可能に収容するように配置及び構成されている、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記細長いホーンから供給される音波の周波数は、20kHz〜200kHzの範囲である、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の方法。
