皮膚外用剤は、使用感触の良さを更に求められているが、近年の美白への意識の高さから、使用感触だけではなく、さらに紫外線防御効果を増強することも求められている。
使用感触を向上させるためには、感触改良剤として知られるシリコーンエラストマーが使われ、乳化性シリコーンエラストマー2種類を含有する油中水型エマルションを作ることで、粘度の高いテクスチャーを持ちながら、皮膚上で広がる、使用感のよい組成物が開示されている(特許文献1)。
また、紫外線防御効果を増強するために、油剤と、トリアジン系の紫外線吸収剤と、シリコーンエラストマーなどのレオロジー制御剤を組み合わせることで、製剤安定性がよく、紫外線防御効果を上げる検討が行われてきた(特許文献2)。

結果を図1に示す。本願実施例1の皮膚外用剤は、シリコーンエラストマー型界面活性剤の代わりに、エラストマータイプではないシリコーン型界面活性剤を含む比較例1、ソルビタン型界面活性剤を含む比較例2の皮膚外用剤に比べて、UVA波(約320〜400nm)及びUVB波(約280〜320nm)をカバーする広い波長域で、高い紫外線吸収効果を示した。

表1に記載の各皮膚外用剤を、約5gとり、治具を設置後、余分な製剤を除去し、測定条件(温調方式:プレート型ペルチェ温調システム、角周波数:0.1〜10Hz、ひずみ量:0.12%、測定温度25℃、測定治具:コーンプレート型、40mm、コーン角度4℃)で測定を行った。
結果を図2に示す。実施例1では、貯蔵弾性率曲線と損失弾性率曲線は交わることなく並行であるが、比較例1、比較例2では2つの曲線が交わっており、実施例1の皮膚外用剤は製剤安定性がよいが、比較例1及び2では製剤安定性が悪いことが示された。
