また、前述したとおり、保湿効果が最重要視される保湿化粧料において「べたつき感」、「ぬるつき感」、「肌への馴染み感の悪さ」は、「きしみ感」よりは許容される官能評価項目であることを考慮すると、保湿剤を10質量%(トリプロピレングリコールと保湿剤の合計量で10〜15質量%)と多く配合した化粧料(実施例13〜17)において、「べたつき感」、「ぬるつき感」、「肌への馴染み感」の評価結果は△ではあるが、おおむね良好な使用感が得られていると判断できる。
また、グリセリンについては、様々な濃度で試験しているが、トリプロピレングリコールを併用すると、グリセリン(9質量%配合)の時にトリプロピレングリコール1質量%の配合で、べたつき感、ぬるつき感、肌へのなじみ感、きしみ感を改善することがわかった(実施例11参照)。このことから、トリプロピレングリコールと保湿剤の配合量は、化粧料に配合する保湿剤に対して10質量%以上配合することでその効果を発揮するものと推定される。
以上のとおり、表1、表2の評価試験を対比してみることで、保湿剤単独では肌に対するべたつき感、ぬるつき感、肌への馴染み感、馴染んだ後の指どまり(きしみ感)が不良であったが、トリプロピレングリコールと併用することでこれらの使用感はいずれも改善されることが分かった。
また、官能評価試験において、官能評価員からは、トリプロピレングリコールの配合量が増えるにしたがって、肌がつるつるするという良好な感触が得られたとのコメントがあった。

On the other hand, glycerin, diglycerin, polyglycerin, and 1,3-butylene glycol can be combined with tripropylene glycol to increase the amount of the humectant from 5% by mass to 10% by mass.
