Description
本特許文献は、2015年2月25日出願の米国特許仮出願第62/120,839号及び2015日6月12日出願の米国特許仮出願第62/174,999号の優先権の利益を主張するものである。前述の特許出願の全内容は、本文献の開示の一部として参照によって組み込まれる。
以下の例は、本技術のいくつかの実施形態を例示するものである。本技術の他の例示的な実施形態は、次に挙げる実施例の前に又は次に挙げる実施例の後に提示され得る。

音響反射によって引き起こされる悪影響は、遅延和ビームフォーマとしても知られている遅延和法型エコーサンプルに基づくビームフォーマに送信及び受信の組み合わせを使用することを排除し得る。エコーサンプルのそのような排除の結果、送信及び受信の組合わせが遅延和ビームフォーマから除去され、したがって遅延和ビームフォーマに対応する画像ピクセルの品質を限定し得る。画像ピクセルの品質は、送信及び受信組み合わせの限定されたセットの点広がり関数(point-spread-function)の関数である。エコーサンプルのそのような排除はまた、画像ピクセルに関する信号雑音比(SNR)も低減し得る。追加的に、二分の一波長を上回るアレイピッチを有する開口の場合、ゼロ度(0°)から逸らす(steer away)ために送信体及び受信体の組み合わせを必要とする画像ピクセル場所は、逸らし角度(steering angle)が大きくなり、アレイピッチが大きくなるにつれてグレーティングローブ(grating lobe)をますます受ける。そのようなグレーティングローブは、鏡面反射の感度及び複雑性を増加させる。
Claims (18)
- 変換器と標的との間の音響エネルギーの送信のためのカプラントデバイスであって、
音響信号を標的体積に向けて送信し、前記標的体積の少なくとも一部から戻る戻り音響信号を受信するための変換器要素のアレイと、
前記変換器要素のアレイが配置される湾曲したセクションを含むハウジング本体と、
ヒドロゲル材料を含む音響結合構成要素であって、前記ハウジング本体内に配設された変換器要素と、前記音響信号を前記標的体積に向けて伝搬するために前記音響結合構成要素と接触する受信媒質との間で前記音響信号を伝導するように動作可能である、音響結合構成要素と、
前記ハウジング本体に結合され、前記ハウジング本体に対して移動することができる可撓性ブラケットであって、前記音響結合構成要素は、前記可撓性ブラケットによって前記ハウジング本体に取り外し可能に取り付けられ、前記可撓性ブラケットは、前記音響結合構成要素を固定して前記変換器要素のアレイの前記変換器要素の各々をインターフェース連結する一つ以上のアーチ構成要素を含む、可撓性ブラケットとを備え、
前記受信媒質と前記変換器要素との間で音響インピーダンス整合が存在するように、前記音響結合構成要素は、前記受信媒質及び前記変換器要素と共形になることができる、カプラントデバイス。 - 前記ヒドロゲル材料が、前記可撓性ブラケットの前記一つ以上のアーチ構成要素に埋め込まれたパッドとして構成されている、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記ヒドロゲル材料が、ポリビニルアルコール(PVA)、ポリアクリルアミド(PAA)、又はアルギン酸塩を有するPAAを含んでいる、請求項1に記載のデバイス。

- 前記標的体積が、生体の生物構造を含み、前記受信媒質が、前記生体の解剖構造を含んでいる、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記ハウジング本体の前記湾曲したセクションが、前記解剖構造との完全接触を容易にする湾曲部を含み、それにより、前記音響結合構成要素は、前記解剖構造の皮膚と直接接触している、請求項7に記載のデバイス。

管状円筒形状の対向する端部間に180°の湾曲を各々が有する湾曲した内面及び湾曲した外面を含む半管状円筒形状を有するように、前記ヒドロゲル材料が構造化されている、請求項13に記載のカプラントデバイス。 - 前記ヒドロゲル材料が、前記音響信号をその中で散乱させ又は吸収する音響減衰領域を含み、前記音響減衰領域は、網状組織を形成する前記重合可能な材料より密度の高いポリマー、散乱材料、微小気泡、マクロバルーン、プラスチック材料、ゴム材料、又は吸収材料の一つ以上を含んでいる、請求項13に記載のカプラントデバイス。
