Description
この構成によれば、外輪と保持器との間の外側空間が狭くなるのを防ぎ、ポンプ作用を効果的に得ることが可能となる。
更に、この組み合わせ軸受において、前記保持器が有する前記上環状部は、上下方向に直線状となる円筒形状を有している構成とすることができる。
または、前記組み合わせ軸受において、前記保持器が有する前記上環状部は、上側に向かうにしたがって縮径するテーパ形状を有しているのが好ましい。
このような、上環状部が有する前記各構成によれば、下の転がり軸受の保持器と、その上の転がり軸受の保持器との間に、連続性を持たせることができる。つまり、内輪側の内側空間と、外輪側の外側空間とを保持器によって区画するような構成が得られ、上下二つの転がり軸受の間においても、エアが内輪側から外輪側へ回り込むのを抑制し、ポンプ作用が弱まるのを防ぐことが可能となる。
この構成によれば、保持器と、その下隣りに位置する内輪との間の流路が狭くなり、内輪側においてエアが通過しにくくなる。このため、内輪側にエアが入りにくく、この結果、エアが内輪側から外輪側へ回り込むのを抑制し、ポンプ作用が弱まるのを防ぐことが可能となる。
この構成によれば、前記のとおり、ポンプ作用により下から上へと外輪に沿って潤滑油が流れると、前記内側空間では油面が低下すると共にエアが上から下へと流れ、やがて、最も下の転がり軸受において、そのエアが外輪側へ回り込もうとするが、保持器の下環状部がこれを阻止するので、エアによってポンプ作用が弱まるのを防ぐことが可能となる。
また、この保持器24が有する上環状部51は、柱部53の延長方向に対して折れ曲がっており、上側に向かうにしたがって縮径するテーパ形状を有している。これにより、上環状部51は、内輪21の肩部37に径方向から接近した状態となる。
そして、下から二番目の第二軸受20において、保持器24の下環状部52は、その下に位置する第一軸受10が有する内輪11の上側の肩部35に対して、隙間をあけて軸方向に対向している。
また、下から三番目以上の第二軸受20においては、保持器24の下環状部52は、その下に位置する第二軸受20が有する内輪21の上側の肩部37に対して、隙間をあけて軸方向に対向している。
また、第二軸受20の保持器24と、その上の第二軸受20の保持器24との間においても、連続性を持たせることができる。つまり、内輪21側の内側空間K3と、外輪22側の外側空間K4とを、保持器24によって区画するような構成が得られ、上下二つの軸受20,20の間においても、エアが内輪21側から外輪22側へ回り込むのを抑制し、ポンプ作用が弱まるのを防ぐことが可能となる。
以上より、潤滑油Qが下から上に流れる外側空間K1(K3)の流路と、エアが侵入する(流れる)内側空間K2(K4)とを、保持器14,24によって区画することができる。
前記実施形態では、転動体を玉13として説明したが、他の形態であってもよく、例えば円すいころであってもよい。円すいころ軸受の場合においても、軸方向一方側から軸方向他方側に向かって潤滑油を流すポンプ作用が発生する。そこで、軸方向他方側を上側となるように、複数の円すいころ軸受を重ねて設けた組み合わせ軸受としてもよい。このように、本発明の組み合わせ軸受は、回転によるポンプ作用が生じる転がり軸受を縦型に複数配置した構成であればよい。

Claims (6)
- 複数の転がり軸受が中心線を上下方向として重ねて設けられている組み合わせ軸受であって、
前記転がり軸受それぞれは、内輪、外輪、前記内輪と前記外輪との間の環状空間に設けられている複数の転動体、及び複数の前記転動体を保持する環状の保持器を有し、回転すると前記環状空間を前記外輪に沿って下から上に潤滑油を流す作用を発生させる構成を有し、
前記保持器は、前記転動体の下側の隣りに設けられ前記内輪側から前記外輪側へエアが回り込むのを阻止する下環状部、及び上側の隣りに設けられ前記内輪側から前記外輪側へエアが回り込むのを阻止する上環状部、を有しており、
最も下の前記転がり軸受が有する前記下環状部は、前記内輪の下面よりも低い位置まで下方に延びた形状を有している、組み合わせ軸受。 - 前記外輪は、内周側に、上側に向かうにしたがって拡径する拡径面を有し、
前記保持器は、前記上環状部と前記下環状部とを繋ぐと共に上側に向かうにしたがって径方向外側に傾斜する柱部を複数有している、請求項1に記載の組み合わせ軸受。 - 前記保持器が有する前記上環状部は、上下方向に直線状となる円筒形状を有している、請求項2に記載の組み合わせ軸受。
- 前記保持器が有する前記上環状部は、上側に向かうにしたがって縮径するテーパ形状を有している、請求項1又は2に記載の組み合わせ軸受。
- 前記内輪は、下側の肩部よりも外径の大きい上側の肩部を有し、
下から二番目以上の前記転がり軸受が有する前記保持器の前記下環状部は、その下に位置する前記転がり軸受が有する前記内輪の上側の前記肩部に対して、隙間をあけて軸方向に対向している、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の組み合わせ軸受。 - 最も下の前記転がり軸受が有する前記下環状部は、前記内輪の下面と対向する形状を有している、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の組み合わせ軸受。
