前記グループ化工程は、前記第1ディスプレイパネル周辺領域における前記アレイの前記ピクセルを、Nピクセルの対応するサブセットにグループ化し、前記第2ディスプレイパネル周辺領域における前記アレイの前記ピクセルを、Mピクセルの対応するサブセットにグループ化する工程であって、MはNより大きい工程を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記表示イメージ周辺領域のうちの1つ以上の領域内のピクセルを有する前記表示イメージの各行について、前記ピクセルデータにより前記行について表現されるピクセル値の数は、前記行におけるピクセルの数未満であり、
前記ピクセルデータを送信することは、ディスプレイコントローラ(428)から前記ディスプレイパネルにインターコネクト(429)を介して、前記ピクセルデータを行ごとに送信することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記分割工程は、
ユーザの現在の注視方向(432)を決定する工程と、
決定された前記現在の注視方向(432)に基づいて、前記ディスプレイパネル(100,200,401)内における注視対象位置(202)を決定する工程と、
決定された前記注視対象位置(202)から、前記ディスプレイパネル中心窩領域(110,210,310)を識別する工程であって、前記ディスプレイパネル中心窩領域は、決定された前記注視対象位置(202)を囲む前記ディスプレイパネルのアレイ(102,104)の複数のピクセルを含み、前記ディスプレイパネルのアレイ(102,104)の残りのピクセルは、前記1つ以上のディスプレイパネル周辺領域(112,212,312−1,312−2)に分割される、工程と、を含む、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。 - 前記ディスプレイパネル中心窩領域(110,210,310)は、前記注視対象位置(202)を中心とするN×Mピクセルを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記ディスプレイパネル中心窩領域(110,210,310)の寸法は、前記ディスプレイパネル(100,200,401)の中心からの距離にしたがって減少する、あるいは、前記ディスプレイパネル中心窩領域(110,210,310)の形状は、前記注視対象位置(202)の位置により変更される、請求項10に記載の方法。
