Description
第3実施の形態で説明した点火プラグ100と同じ構造の実施例1におけるサンプルを作成した。実施例1におけるサンプルは、中心電極101の軸部102の外径を1.5mm、第2絶縁体106の先端部108の厚さ(軸線O方向の長さ)を4.0mm、先端部108の外径を12.0mmとした。第1絶縁体104のおねじ部88と第2絶縁体106のめねじ部44とを螺合して、第1絶縁体104に第2絶縁体106を接合した。
第1絶縁体104のおねじ部88と第2絶縁体106のめねじ部44とを螺合しつつ、アルミナを主体とする充填材112(絶縁性の耐熱接着剤)を用いておねじ部88とめねじ部44とを接着した以外は、実施例1と同様にして実施例2におけるサンプルを作成した。
第1絶縁体104のおねじ部88、及び、第2絶縁体106のめねじ部44を無くし、第2絶縁体106に第1絶縁体104を嵌合した以外は、実施例1と同様にして比較例におけるサンプルを作成した。

Claims (2)
- 先端側から後端側へと軸線に沿って延びる中心電極と、
前記中心電極の少なくとも一部を取り囲む絶縁体と、
前記絶縁体を外周側から保持する略筒状の主体金具と、を備える点火プラグであって、
前記主体金具は、径方向の内側へ突出する棚部を備え、
前記絶縁体は、前記中心電極の先端が突出するように前記中心電極を取り囲む貫通孔と、前記先端側から前記棚部に係止される係止部と、を有する第1絶縁体と、
前記第1絶縁体の前記係止部よりも先端側に配置され、自身の内周面の一部が前記第1絶縁体の外周面の一部に直接または他部材を介して接合される第2絶縁体と、を備え、
前記第2絶縁体は、前記第1絶縁体に螺合されて接合される点火プラグ。 - 前記第1絶縁体の外周面と前記第2絶縁体の内周面との間の少なくとも一部には、充填材が充填されている請求項1記載の点火プラグ。
