Description
したがって、使用の際にコネクタの保持力を超過した場合に、たとえ電気コネクタが嵌合コネクタに嵌合されたままであったとしても、ケーブルがハウジングから引き出されることにより、電気コネクタが壊れる可能性がある。電気ケーブルに固定された電気コネクタにとって実現可能な保持力を増大させることが、依然として必要とされている。
Claims (9)
- 長手方向軸(210)に沿って前端(144)と後端(146)との間に延びる外側コンタクト(136)を備える電気コネクタ(104)であって、
前記外側コンタクト(136)は、前記後端(146)まで延びる終端部(152)を有し、
前記終端部(152)は、ケーブル(116)の導電層(174)に係合し、前記導電層(174)によって取り囲まれて、前記外側コンタクト(136)を前記ケーブル(116)に電気的に接続するように構成され、
前記終端部(152)は円筒形であり、かつ前記終端部(152)を貫通するチャンバ(148)を画定し、
前記チャンバ(148)は、前記ケーブル(116)の1つまたは複数のワイヤ(170)を受け取るように構成され、
前記終端部(152)は、その外面(192)に沿ってクロスハッチパターン(190)を有し、
前記クロスハッチパターン(190)は、互いに対して平行に延びる複数の溝(212)と、互いに対して平行に延びる複数の交差溝(214)とを含み、
前記複数の交差溝(214)は前記複数の溝(212)に交差し、前記外面(192)に沿って複数の隆起パネル(220)を画定しているとともに、
前記外側コンタクト(136)は、円筒形の形状に打ち抜かれて形成された一体のワンピース本体(158)を有し、
前記外側コンタクト(136)は、前記ワンピース本体(158)の第1の丸め縁部(164)と反対側の第2の丸め縁部(165)との間に画定された継ぎ目(160)を含み、
前記終端部(152)に沿って位置する前記クロスハッチパターン(190)は、前記第1の丸め縁部(164)と前記第2の丸め縁部(165)との間で前記外側コンタクト(136)の全周に延びており、かつ、
前記終端部(152)の内側表面には、前記クロスハッチパターン(190)が形成されてない、
電気コネクタ(104)。 - 前記隆起パネル(220)のそれぞれが、前記複数の溝(212)のうちの2つの溝(212)間および前記2つの溝(212)に交差する前記複数の交差溝(214)のうちの2つの溝(214)間に画定された菱形形状を有する、
請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ(104)。 - 前記隆起パネル(220)のそれぞれが、底辺(230)から頂上(232)まで径方向外方に延び、前記底辺(230)と前記頂上(232)との間に延びる少なくとも3つの側壁(234)を含み、
対応する隆起パネル(220)の複数の前記側壁(234)は、前記隆起パネル(220)が前記底辺(230)から前記頂上(232)へ先細りするように、互いに対して角度が付けられている、
請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ(104)。 - 前記隆起パネル(220)のそれぞれの前記頂上(232)は、点または上壁のうちの少なくとも1つによって画定されている、
請求項3に記載の電気コネクタ(104)。 - 前記溝(212)および前記交差溝(214)は、前記長手方向軸(210)に対して斜めに延びている、
請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ(104)。 - 前記溝(212)および前記交差溝(214)は、前記長手方向軸(210)に対してそれぞれの螺旋角(216、218)を画定し、前記溝(212)の前記螺旋角および前記交差溝(214)の前記螺旋角は、45度以下である、
請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ(104)。 - 前記溝(212)および前記交差溝(214)は、V字状の断面を有する、
請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ(104)。 - 前記第1の丸め縁部(164)は、前記終端部(152)に沿って前記第2の丸め縁部(165)から隔置されて、間隙(224)を画定し、
前記間隙(224)は、蛇行する経路に沿って延び、
前記第1の丸め縁部(164)と前記第2の丸め縁部(165)との間の前記間隙(224)の幅は、前記終端部(152)が前記ケーブル(116)に圧着されたことに応答して低減するように構成されている、
