Claims (17)
- 表示領域及び前記表示領域を取り囲む周辺領域を有する表示基板と、
前記表示基板に対向する外装カバーと、
前記表示基板及び前記外装カバーを受け入れるように構成されるモールドフレームと、を含み、
前記モールドフレームは、本体と、前記モールドフレームの内部表面から突出する突起と、を含み、前記突起は前記表示基板と前記外装カバーとの間に設けられ、
前記外装カバーは、前記突起を受け入れる凹部を前記突起に対応する領域に有し、前記凹部と前記突起とは相補的に噛み合い、
前記突起は、前記表示基板の前記周辺領域に隣接する第1表面及び前記第1表面の反対側に設けられる第2表面を有し、前記第2表面は前記凹部の表面に隣接する、表示モジュールであって、
前記突起は前記内部表面を第1部分と第2部分とに仕切り、
前記表示モジュールは、
前記表示基板と前記外装カバーとを共にシーリングするために、前記内部表面の前記第1部分と前記表示基板との間に設けられるシーリング材と、前記内部表面の前記第2部分と前記外装カバーとの間に設けられるシーリング材と、をさらに含む、表示モジュール。 - 前記外装カバーの内部カバー表面は、前記内部カバー表面に対向する前記表示基板の内部基板表面に隣接し、前記内部カバー表面と前記凹部の表面は前記凹部の側面を介して接続される、請求項1に記載の表示モジュール。
- 前記突起の前記第1表面は、前記外装カバーの前記内部カバー表面と高さが略同一である、請求項2に記載の表示モジュール。
- 前記内部基板表面は、前記突起の前記第1表面及び前記内部カバー表面に接着剤により接着され、前記突起の前記第2表面は、前記外装カバーに接着剤により接着される、請求項2に記載の表示モジュール。
- 前記突起は、前記第1表面と前記第2表面とを接続する第3表面を有し、前記第3表面は、前記凹部の前記側面に対向し、その間に間隙を形成するように構成される、請求項2に記載の表示モジュール。
- 前記周辺領域内の領域に対応するプリント回路板アセンブリ領域内にプリント回路板アセンブリをさらに含み、前記プリント回路板アセンブリは、前記内部基板表面に隣接するプリント回路板、フレキシブルコネクタ及びインターフェースを含み、
前記プリント回路板アセンブリ領域における前記表示モジュールの最大厚みは、前記プリント回路板アセンブリ領域を除く領域における前記表示モジュールの最大厚み以下である、請求項2に記載の表示モジュール。 - 前記外装カバーは、前記プリント回路板アセンブリ領域に対応する切り欠きセクションを有する、請求項6に記載の表示モジュール。
- 前記プリント回路板アセンブリの前記表示基板から離れた側に裏カバーをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の表示モジュール。
- 前記プリント回路板アセンブリ領域以外の領域における前記表示モジュールの前記最大厚みは、前記突起の前記第1表面及び前記第2表面に対して略垂直方向に沿う前記モールドフレームの最大厚みにより定義される、請求項6に記載の表示モジュール。
- 前記表示基板の前記外装カバーから離れた側に円偏光子をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の表示モジュール。
- 前記表示領域に対応する領域における表示モジュールの最大厚みは、前記表示基板、前記外装カバー及び前記円偏光子の厚みの和と略同一である、請求項10に記載の表示モジュール。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の表示モジュールを含む、表示装置。
- 本体と、モールドフレームの内部表面から突出する突起と、を含むモールドフレームを提供する工程と、
前記突起と相補的な凹部を有する外装カバーを提供する工程と、
表示領域及び前記表示領域を取り囲む周辺領域を有する表示基板を提供する工程と、
前記モールドフレーム、前記外装カバー及び前記表示基板を組み立てて、前記突起を前記表示基板と前記外装カバーとで挟み、前記凹部と前記突起とを相補的に噛み合わせる工程を含む、表示モジュールの製造方法であって、
前記突起は、前記内部表面を第1部分と第2部分とに仕切り、前記表示モジュールの製造方法は、前記モールドフレーム、前記外装カバー及び前記表示基板を組み立てる工程の後、前記内部表面の前記第1部分と前記表示基板との間の間隙をシーリングし、前記内部表面の前記第2部分と前記外装カバーとの間の間隙をシーリングする工程を含む、表示モジュールの製造方法。 - 前記表示基板、前記外装カバー及び前記モールドフレームが組み立てられて、前記突起は、前記表示基板の前記周辺領域に隣接する第1表面及び前記第1表面の反対側に設けられる第2表面を有し、前記第2表面は前記凹部の表面に隣接する、請求項13に記載の表示モジュールの製造方法。
- 前記モールドフレーム、前記外装カバー及び前記表示基板を組み立てる工程は、
前記突起の第1表面を前記表示基板の前記周辺領域に接着して前記モールドフレーム内に前記表示基板を受け入れる工程と、
前記突起の第2表面を前記凹部の前記表面に接着して前記モールドフレーム内に前記外装カバーを受け入れ、前記凹部に前記突起を受け入れ、前記第2表面は前記第1表面の反対側に設けられる工程と、
前記外装カバーの内部カバー表面を、前記内部カバー表面に対向する前記表示基板の内部基板表面に接着し、前記内部カバー表面と前記凹部の表面とは前記凹部の側面を介して接続される工程と、を含む、請求項14に記載の表示モジュールの製造方法。 - 前記周辺領域内の領域に対応するプリント回路板アセンブリ領域内にプリント回路板アセンブリを取り付ける工程をさらに含む、請求項13に記載の表示モジュールの製造方法。
- 前記突起と相補的な前記凹部及び前記プリント回路板アセンブリ領域に対応する切り欠き部を有する前記外装カバーを製造する工程をさらに含む、請求項16に記載の表示モジュールの製造方法。
