Claims (1)
- 軸方向にスライド可能なカムシャフトと、前記カムシャフトの外周に所定の距離を置いてそれぞれ固定された互いにプロファイルが異なる2種類のカムと、前記2種類のカムにより開閉動作が制御されるバルブと、前記カムシャフトを軸方向に前記所定の距離だけスライドさせることで前記2種類のカムと前記バルブとの組み合わせを切り換える切換手段とを備え、
前記切換手段が、前記カムシャフトの外周面に形成された蛇行状のスライド溝と、前記スライド溝に係合可能な切替ピンとからなる可変動弁機構において、
前記カムシャフトの外周面に磁界変化手段を設けるとともに、該カムシャフトのスライド前後における前記磁界変化手段の少なくとも一部にそれぞれ対向するように2台の磁気センサを配置し、
前記磁界変化手段が、前記カムシャフトの周方向に延びる細溝であるとともに、
2台の前記磁気センサが、永久磁石によるバイアス磁界を備えた第1の磁気抵抗センサと、永久磁石によるバイアス磁界を備えた第2の磁気抵抗センサであり、
前記第1の磁気抵抗センサ及び前記第2の磁気抵抗センサは、前記2種類のカムのうち一方のカムと前記バルブとが組み合わされているときに、前記第1の磁気抵抗センサが前記細溝に対向し、前記2種類のカムのうち他方のカムと前記バルブとが組み合わされているときに、前記第2の磁気抵抗センサが前記細溝に対向するように、配置されていることを特徴とする可変動弁機構。
