Description
図1は、本実施の形態に係るアブソリュート型エンコーダ10の構成を例示する図である。以下、アブソリュート型エンコーダ10を、エンコーダ10とも記載する。エンコーダ10は、光学式エンコーダであっても磁気式エンコーダであってもよい。エンコーダ10は、不図示の主電源からの電力の供給を受け、モータの変位位置を測定する。なお、モータの変位位置とは、モータが変位した後の位置であって、例えばモータが回転式モータの場合においては、モータの回転位置を意味する。本実施の形態においてはモータを回転式モータであるとして以下説明する。これに従い、変位位置を回転位置として以下説明する。ただし、モータは、回転式モータに限定されず、リニアモータ等であってもよい。
上記実施の形態においては、温度情報センサ30は、エンコーダ10の温度Tを検出したが、温度情報センサ30は、エンコーダ10の温度Tに代えて、温度を示す情報を検出してもよい。温度を示す情報とは、例えば、クロック発生器16、アナログ信号生成回路18、比較器20等の内部を流れる電流の大きさ等であってもよく、クロック制御回路26は、この電流の大きさからエンコーダ10の温度Tを推定してもよい。この場合、クロック制御回路26等の内部に抵抗を設定しない回路を設け、温度情報センサ30は、その抵抗における電流と電圧とを検出してもよい。そしてクロック制御回路26は、温度情報センサ30が検出した電流と電圧から抵抗を算出し温度Tを取得してもよい。温度を示す情報は、他にも例えば、エンコーダ10の内部に設けたダイオードの順方向電圧であって、温度Tによってどれだけ変化するかが予めわかっているものであってもよい。
上記実施の形態から把握しうる技術的思想について、以下に記載する。

Claims (7)
- バックアップ用の外部バッテリからのバックアップ電力によって駆動可能なアブソリュート型エンコーダであって、
前記バックアップ電力が供給されると、バックアップ用のクロックパルスを予め決められた周期で発生するクロック発生器と、
前記クロックパルスに応じて動作するものであって、モータの変位位置を検出し、検出した前記変位位置に応じたアナログ信号を生成するアナログ信号生成回路と、
前記クロックパルスに応じて動作するものであって、前記アナログ信号と所定電圧とを比較する比較器と、
前記クロック発生器を制御して、前記クロックパルスのパルス幅を変更するクロック制御回路と、
を備える、アブソリュート型エンコーダ。 - 請求項1に記載のアブソリュート型エンコーダであって、
前記クロック制御回路は、前記外部バッテリの電圧および前記アブソリュート型エンコーダの温度の少なくとも一方に基づいて、前記クロックパルスのパルス幅を変更する、アブソリュート型エンコーダ。 - 請求項2に記載のアブソリュート型エンコーダであって、
前記クロック制御回路は、前記電圧および前記温度の少なくとも一方と前記パルス幅との関係を示す対応情報を有し、前記対応情報を用いて、前記クロックパルスのパルス幅を変更する、アブソリュート型エンコーダ。 - 請求項2または3に記載のアブソリュート型エンコーダであって、
前記クロック制御回路は、前記電圧が低くなる程、前記クロックパルスのパルス幅を長くし、前記温度が低くなる程、前記クロックパルスのパルス幅を長くする、アブソリュート型エンコーダ。 - 請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュート型エンコーダであって、
前記クロック制御回路は、前記電圧を示す情報を検出する電圧情報センサおよび前記温度を示す情報を検出する温度情報センサの少なくとも一方から、前記電圧および前記温度の少なくとも一方を取得する、アブソリュート型エンコーダ。 - 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュート型エンコーダであって、
前記クロックパルスのパルス幅は、前記クロックパルスが前記アナログ信号生成回路および前記比較器に入力されてから、前記比較器が前記変位位置に応じた出力信号を出力することができるまでの時間以上の長さである、アブソリュート型エンコーダ。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のアブソリュート型エンコーダであって、
前記比較器からの出力信号に基づいて、前記変位位置を算出する算出回路を備える、アブソリュート型エンコーダ。
