Description
Claims (15)
- 入口および出口の間の空気流路を画成するハウジングと、
前記空気流路を通る空気の流れを誘導するように設けられた空気流インペラーと、
前記空気流路内に吊り下げられると共に誘導空気流路を横切るように方向付けられた電極アセンブリーと
を具え、前記電極アセンブリーは、空気が入り口を介して装置へと押し込まれ、電極アセンブリーの周りに押し込まれ、そして出口を通って排出され、空気が電極アセンブリーの上下を通って、電極アセンブリーを貫通しないことを特徴とし、
前記電極アセンブリーは、1W/cm2よりも低出力密度にて作動するように構成され、前記電極アセンブリーの長手方向軸線を中心として円周方向にプラズマ放電を操作可能に生じて誘導空気流内の粒子または空気の成分が前記プラズマにさらされることを特徴とする空気処理装置。 - 前記電極アセンブリーは、その直径よりも大きな長さを有する円柱形状であって、前記電極アセンブリーは、その長手方向軸線が前記誘導空気流路を横切って設けられるように前記ハウジング内に方向付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空気処理装置。
- ハウジングの床壁から空間が空くように持ち上げられた位置に前記電極アセンブリーを取り付けるためのホルダーを前記電極アセンブリーのそれぞれの端にさらに具えていることを特徴とし、任意選択で、前記ホルダーは、前記電極アセンブリーと前記ハウジングとの間の導通を阻止するための絶縁材料を具えていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の空気処理装置。
- 前記電極アセンブリーは、筒状誘電体バリヤーによって仕切られた筒状の内側網状体と外側網状体とを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の空気処理装置。
- 前記電極アセンブリーは、相互に接触状態にある前記内側網状体と前記外側網状体と前記誘電体バリヤーとを保持するための絶縁キャップを前記電極アセンブリーのそれぞれの端に含むことを特徴とする請求項4の空気処理装置。
- 前記内側網状体および外側網状体のそれぞれの面は、前記筒状誘電体バリヤーと完全な接触状態にあることを特徴とする請求項4または請求項5に記載の空気処理装置。
- 前記内側網状体および外側網状体は、前記電極アセンブリーのそれぞれの端にて電極接点に電気的に結合され、これらの接点は前記内側網状体および外側網状体に対して逆極性の電圧を与えることを特徴とする請求項4から請求項6の何れか一項に記載の空気処理装置。
- 前記内側網状体および前記外側網状体の少なくとも一方は、前記電極アセンブリーの周りに完全に延在していることを特徴とする請求項4から請求項7の何れか一項に記載の空気処理装置。
- 前記内側網状体および前記外側網状体の少なくとも一方が前記電極アセンブリーの長手方向軸線を中心とする連続面をもたらすことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の空気処理装置。
- 前記ハウジングは、前記空気流路を前記電極アセンブリーの周囲に導く管路システムを具えていることを特徴とし、
任意選択で、前記ハウジングは、第1の端の入口と第2の端の出口とを持つ長方形状であることを特徴とし、
任意選択で、前記出口は、前記ハウジングの2つの隣り合う側のそれぞれにある出口領域を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項9の何れか一項に記載の空気処理装置。 - 前記空気は、前記空気流路を横切る前記出口から出ることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項10の何れか一項に記載の空気処理装置。
- 電源は、0.1から0.5W/cm2までの範囲の出力密度にて操作されることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項11の何れか一項に記載の空気処理装置。
- 前記プラズマ発生装置は、誘電体によって分離された同心筒状金網電極を具えていることを特徴とし、任意選択で、前記電極が網状体を具えていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項12の何れか一項に記載の空気処理装置。
- 内側および外側電極が設けられ、前記外側電極の金網は、前記内側電極よりはむしろ外側電極に対してプラズマの生成を促進するために内側電極のそれよりも粗いことを特徴とし、任意選択で、前記内側電極は直径が0.15mmのワイヤを用いて25.4mm当たり40×34の網目数を有し、前記外側電極は直径が0.3mmのワイヤを用いて25.4mm当たり24×28の網目数を有することを特徴とする請求項13に記載の空気処理装置。
- 前記装置は、プラズマ放電を中心とするすべての空気の流れが放電の1センチメートル以内に向けられていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項14の何れか一項に記載の空気処理装置。
