前記第一重合体はポリアミドであり、かつ前記第二重合体はポリオレフィンである、付記5に記載のパイル物品。

前記パイルの部分は、予備溶融され、冷却によって固化され、かつ前記パイルの前記固化した予備溶融された部分は、前記裏材に超音波溶着される、付記5に記載のパイル物品。

前記パイルは前記裏材に超音波溶着された領域を有し、かつ前記領域は予備溶融され又は融合された前記パイルの部分を有する、付記5に記載のパイル物品。
(付記9)
前記予備溶融され又は融合された部分は超音波溶融された部分である、付記8に記載のパイル物品。
(付記10)
前記パイルは超音波溶着によって前記裏材に融合される、付記5に記載のパイル物品。

前記第一重合体はナイロンである、付記5に記載のパイル物品。

一組の第一ステーションであって、そのそれぞれが、前記バンドの前記側面の異なる一面に沿って、前記巻き付けられたパイルを、前記側面の前記異なる一面に沿って少なくとも前記パイルの部分的に固化した領域を作るために、前記経路に沿って前記バンドが動く際に超音波加熱する第一手段を有し、かつ前記側面の前記異なる1面から、部分的に前記バンドの前記上下表面に沿って延びる、一組の第一ステーション;
一組の第二ステーションであって、そのそれぞれが、裏材ストリップを、前記パイルの前記部分的に固化した領域に、前記バンドの前記側面の異なる一面に沿って、前記バンドが前記経路に沿って動く際に超音波溶着する第二手段を有する一組の第二ステーション;及び
前記パイル及び前記裏材ストリップは、前記第一ステーションのそれぞれにおける前記第一手段の前記操作の結果、前記第二ステーションのそれぞれにおいて前記第二手段によって互いに溶着可能となる異なる種類の重合体材料で構成される、前記一組の第二ステーションの後に、2つのパイル物品を形成するために、前記経路に沿って、前記パイルを前記上下表面に沿って切断するための第三ステーション
を含む、パイル物品の製造装置。
(付記14)
前記パイルの前記重合体材料はポリアミドであり、かつ前記裏材ストリップの重合体材料は少なくともポリプロピレンを有する、付記13に記載の装置。
(付記15)
前記パイル物品はウェザストリップである、付記13に記載の装置。
(付記16)
パイル、及び異なるプラスチック材料のパイルを支持する裏材を有するパイル物品の製造方法であって、パイルの縁を超音波予熱した後、かつパイルへの裏材の溶着の前に、裏材とパイルを互いに超音波溶着することで、裏材とパイルの間に反応性又は化学的結合を与える、ステップを含む方法。
(付記17)
異なるプラスチック材料は、ポリアミドナイロン及びポリオレフィンポリプロピレンである、付記16に記載の方法。
(付記18)
パイルの縁を与える走行バンドの周囲に巻かれたパイルを、ヤーンへの裏材の反応性結合を伴う超音波溶着を与える第二ホーンからバンド走行方向の上流に間隔をおいて置かれた、予熱超音波第一ホーンへ移送するステップを更に含む、付記16に記載の方法。
(付記19)
予熱は、その上に巻かれたヤーンを備えるバンドが、溶着して裏材と反応性結合を形成する前にヤーンを予熱又は予備溶融のために通過する溝を有する超音波ホーンを用いて行われる、付記18に記載の方法。
(付記20)
裏材、及び前記裏材からその片面に沿って延びる、重合体材料を含むパイルを含み、前記裏材は前記重合体材料を有さない材料であり、前記裏材と前記パイルは前記パイルの少なくとも部分的に固化した溶融した部分に沿って互いに超音波溶着された、パイル物品。

前記重合体材料はポリアミドである、付記20に記載のパイル物品。
(付記22)
前記パイル物品はウェザストリップである、付記20に記載のパイル物品。
(付記23)
前記パイルと共に前記裏材から延びる1以上のフィンと、溶融する際前記1以上のフィンを含んだ前記パイルの前記部分とを更に含む、付記20に記載のパイル物品。
(付記24)
前記1以上のフィンは、それぞれ不織ナイロン層又はフロックに接着された、ポリプロピレンフィルム又は層である、付記23に記載のパイル物品。
(付記25)
前記パイルは、底部と、そこからパイルに溶着された裏材から離れる方向にそれぞれ二つの自由端へ延びる2つの部分を有する、ヤーンの複数の環の一部分から構成される、付記20に記載のパイル物品。
Claims (21)
- ナイロンである第一重合体から形成されたヤーンパイルと、
前記第一重合体を含まず、かつポリプロピレンである第二重合体及びその他から形成された裏材ストリップと、
を含み、
前記裏材ストリップは、更に、前記第二重合体とポリオレフィンである第三重合体とを含む混合物から形成されており、
前記第三重合体は、前記第二重合体とは異なる化学組成を有しており、
前記ヤーンパイルは、前記ヤーンパイルの領域を前記裏材ストリップに融合することによって、前記裏材ストリップに化学結合を介して取り付けられており、
前記ヤーンパイルの前記領域は、前記融合する前に、予め溶融されたのちに冷却されて、少なくとも部分的に固化されている、
ウェザシール用物品。 - 前記ウェザシール用物品はウェザストリップである、
請求項1に記載のウェザシール用物品。 - 前記第三重合体は、無水変性ポリプロピレンである、
請求項1に記載のウェザシール用物品。 - 前記裏材ストリップは、約50重量%の無水変性ポリプロピレンと、約50重量%の前記ポリプロピレンとから形成されている、
請求項1に記載のウェザシール用物品。 - 前記融合は、超音波溶着によって引き起こされる、
請求項1に記載のウェザシール用物品。 - 前記ウェザシール用物品は、さらに、前記裏材ストリップから延び、かつ、前記ヤーンパイルの内側に配置される1以上のフィンを含む、
請求項1に記載のウェザシール用物品。 - 前記1以上のフィンは、それぞれ不織ナイロン層又はフロックに接着された、ポリプロピレンフィルム又は層である、
請求項6に記載のウェザシール用物品。 - 前記ヤーンパイルは、それぞれ、底部と、そこから前記裏材ストリップから離れる方向に、二つの自由端へ延びる2つの部分とを有する、ヤーンの複数の環の一部分を含む、
請求項1に記載のウェザシール用物品。 - ウェザシール物品の製造方法であって、
ナイロンである第一重合体から形成されたヤーンパイルを供給するステップと、
前記第一重合体を含まず、かつポリプロピレンである第二重合体及びその他から形成された裏材ストリップを供給するステップと、
を含み、
前記裏材ストリップは、更に、前記第2の重合体とポリオレフィンである第3の重合体とを含む混合物から形成され、
前記第三重合体は、前記第二重合体とは異なる化学組成を有し、
前記ヤーンパイルは、前記ヤーンパイルの領域を前記裏材ストリップに融合することによって、前記裏材ストリップに化学結合を介して取り付けられ、
前記ヤーンパイルの前記領域は、前記融合する前に、予め溶融されたのちに冷却されて、少なくとも部分的に固化される、
ウェザシール物品の製造方法。 - 前記ウェザシール物品はウェザストリップである、
請求項9に記載のウェザシール物品の製造方法。 - 前記第三重合体は、無水変性ポリプロピレンである、
請求項9に記載のウェザシール物品の製造方法。 - 前記裏材ストリップは、約50重量%の無水変性ポリプロピレンと、約50重量%の前記ポリプロピレンとから形成されている、

請求項14に記載のウェザシール物品の製造方法。 - 前記ヤーンパイルは、それぞれ、底部と、そこから前記裏材ストリップから離れる方向に、二つの自由端へ延びる2つの部分とを有する、ヤーンの複数の環の一部分を含む、
請求項9に記載のウェザシール物品の製造方法。 - 第一重合体材料から形成されており、2つの対向する縁及び前記縁の間の上下表面を有するバンドであって、前記バンドは、経路に沿って動かされ、かつ前記バンドの前記2つの縁及び前記上下表面の周りに環状に巻き付けられた第二重合体材料から形成された、少なくとも複数のパイル繊維を有するバンド;
一組の第一ステーションであって、前記バンドの前記縁のそれぞれ一つに沿って、前記巻き付けられたパイル繊維を、前記縁のそれぞれ一つに沿って位置しており溶融したのちに冷却して少なくとも前記パイル繊維の部分的に固化した部分を作るために、前記経路に沿って前記バンドが動かされる際に超音波加熱し、かつ前記部分的に固化した部分を作るために、前記縁のそれぞれ一つから、部分的に前記バンドの前記上下表面に沿って延びる、一組の第一ステーション;
一組の第二ステーションであって、裏材ストリップを、前記パイル繊維の前記部分的に固化した部分に、前記バンドの前記縁のそれぞれ一つに沿って、前記バンドが前記経路に沿って動かされる際に超音波溶着する一組の第二ステーション;
及び
前記バンドから切り離された前記裏材ストリップと、2つの部分に切断された前記上下表面に直接巻き付いた前記パイル繊維のそれぞれと、前記バンドから切り離された前記裏材ストリップに溶着された、前記切断されたパイル繊維の一端のそれぞれと、を含む2つのパイル物品を形成するために、前記経路に沿って、前記パイル繊維を前記上下表面に沿って切断するための第三ステーション、
を含む、パイル物品の製造装置。 - 前記パイル繊維の第二重合体材料はポリアミドナイロンを含み、かつ前記裏材ストリップの前記第一重合体材料は少なくともポリオレフィンとポリプロピレンを含む、
請求項17に記載の装置。 - 前記パイル物品は、ウェザストリップである、
請求項17に記載の装置。 - パイルと裏材とを含むパイル物品の製造方法であって、
前記パイルが第1のナイロン材料から形成され、前記裏材が第2のポリプロピレン材料から形成されることにより、前記パイルは、前記裏材とは異なる化学組成の材料から形成され、
前記パイルの縁部を、超音波予熱し溶融したのちに冷却して、少なくとも部分的に固化したのち、前記パイルの前記縁部を前記裏材に超音波溶着するステップを含み、
前記パイルの前記縁部を前記裏材に超音波溶着する前に、前記パイルの前記縁部を少なくとも部分的に固化することで、前記裏材と前記パイルの前記縁部との化学結合を促進することを含む、
前記パイル物品の製造方法。 - 前記パイルの材料はポリアミドナイロンから形成されており、前記裏材の材料はポリオレフィンとポリプロピレンから形成されている、
