<発明の背景>
1.発明の分野
本発明は、縫製機械及びステッチシームを用いないでバルクバッグを製造するためのバルクバッグ産業及び技術に関する。本発明は、柔軟性(flexible)の織物パッケージング、バッグ又は容器の製造に関するもので、糸汚染の虞れが無く、パッケージング、バッグ又は容器の内部との人体接触を可及的に少なくすることにより細菌感染の懸念を解消させるのに有用な製造に関する。本発明はさらに、ステッチ穴又は縫い穴を含まず柔軟性でほぼ気密なパッケージング、バッグ又は容器の製造に関する。
ポリプロピレン織物は、織物の強度、価格及び柔軟性の点で、バルクバッグ産業を含む幾つかの産業において用いられている。ポリプロピレン織物及び同様の織物は強度が極めて高く、また化学的に不活性である。ポリプロピレン織物は、加熱及び伸長工程を通じて方向性が大きく、市場のニーズに適合させるのに必要な柔軟性を維持しつつ、最大の強度を達成することができる。ポリプロピレン織物はこれらの特性を有するため、2つのポリプロピレン織物を接続する際、織物を損傷せずに接続する方法を見出すことが非常に困難であり、このため、織物の強度及び有用性が著しく低下している。
1.縫製作業では、両端が糸であるため、縫い目線毎に端部を切り取らねばならない。これらは両端でほどけることもあり、バッグ内でゴミとなって好ましくない。
2.この強靱なポリプロピレン織物を通る針は高熱となるため、糸が破損することがある。この場合、生産を一時的に停止して、機械の針通し作業をもう一度行わなければならない。
3.縫製機械は毎分数千ステッチの速度で作動することができる。このような高速では、多くの機械的部品や針の破損事故が起こり易く、その修理中、機械の生産は中止される。
4.項目2及び3のため、バルクバッグの製造に際しては、これら機械を作動させてこれら問題に対処するのに、例えば多大な労力を要する。バルクバッグの製造は世界的には主として米国外で行われ、労働賃金が安価で労働力が豊富な国で行われている。
1.剥離強度が弱い。
2.永久結合の欠如(密着型接着剤は活性であり、剥がれや再付着が繰り返されることがある)。
3.結合は温度変化による影響を受け易い(接着剤は低温で溶融し、さらに低温で不活性になることがある)。
4.剪断強度が得られるのは大面積型被覆だけである。
a.接合部が脆く、柔軟性が無い。
b.食品パッケージングに許可されていない有害成分を含むことがある。
c.織物強度が分子の再構成によって低下する。
本発明の装置及び方法は、従来の問題を、簡単かつ直接的な要領で解消するものである。本発明は、ポリプロピレン織物又は同様な織物を、縫製機械及び縫製糸を使用せずに接続する方法を提供するものである。本発明はまた、ポリエチレン織物を、縫製機械及び縫製糸を使用せずに接続する方法を提供するものである。本発明はまた、バルクバッグの製造に有用であり、ポリプロピレン織物、ポリエチレン織物又は同様な織物について、縫製機械を使用せずに接続を行なうことが所望されるあらゆる製品に適用されることができる。本発明はまた、ポリプロピレン織物又は同様な織物の接続を伴うバルクバッグ等の製品を最小の労力で製造する能力に関するものであり、そのような製品の大量生産はこれまで低賃金労働力が豊富な世界の地域でしか行なうことができなかったが、本発明では製品が必要とされる世界中の全ての地域で生産が可能である。

Claims (14)
- 熱融着された継ぎ目を有するポリプロピレン織物バルクバッグであって、
a.ポリプロピレン織物からなり、下部に継ぎ目部分を有し、少なくとも前記下部継ぎ目部分に、ポリプロピレンよりも融点が低い材料を含む第1のコーティングが施されたトップ部と、
b.ポリプロピレン織物からなり、上部及び下部に継ぎ目部分を有し、少なくとも前記上部継ぎ目部分及び前記下部継ぎ目部分に主としてポリプロピレンを含む第2のコーティングが施された本体部と、
c.ポリプロピレン織物からなり、上部に継ぎ目部分を有し、少なくとも前記上部継ぎ目部分に、ポリプロピレンよりも融点が低い材料を含む第3のコーティングが施されたボトム部と、を含み、
d.前記トップ部と前記本体部との間に、トップ部の第1のコーティングが本体部の第2のコーティングに熱融着された第1の熱融着継ぎ目が形成され、前記第1の熱融着継ぎ目は、(i)トップ部のポリプロピレン織物の一部分、(ii)ポリプロピレン織物よりも融点が低い材料を含む第1のコーティング、(iii)主としてポリプロピレンを含む第2のコーティング、(iv)本体のポリプロピレン織物の一部分、からなる4つの層が隣接しており、

前記排出口は、上部に継ぎ目部分を有し、前記上部継ぎ目部分に主としてポリプロピレンを含む第5のコーティングが施され、
前記排出口と前記ボトム部との間に、ボトム部の下部の第3のコーティングが排出口の第5のコーティングに熱融着された第4の熱融着継ぎ目が形成され、前記第4の熱融着継ぎ目は、(i)ボトム部のポリプロピレン織物の一部分、(ii)ポリプロピレンよりも融点が低い材料を含む第3のコーティング、(iii)主としてポリプロピレンを含む第5のコーティング、(iv)排出口のポリプロピレン織物の一部分、からなる4つの層が隣接している、請求項1のバルクバッグ。 - 1又は2以上のリフトループをさらに含む、請求項1のバルクバッグ。
- バルクバッグは、その収容領域の中にどんなステッチ孔も有しない、請求項1のバルクバッグ。

a.ポリプロピレン織物の連続片から形成され、第1の内面及び第1の外面を含むトップ部側の口部であって、前記第1の外面の下部に、ポリプロピレンよりも融点が低い材料を含む第1のコーティングを有する、トップ部側の口部と、
b.ポリプロピレン織物の連続片から形成され、第2の内面及び第2の外面を含むトップ部であって、前記第2の内面の上部及び下部に、主としてポリプロピレンを含み、前記第1のコーティングとは異なる第2のコーティングを有する、トップ部と、
c.ポリプロピレン織物の連続片から形成され、第3の内面及び第3の外面を有する本体部であって、前記第3の外面の上部及び下部に、ポリプロピレンよりも融点が低い材料を含み、前記第2のコーティングとは異なる第3のコーティングを有する、本体部と、
d.ポリプロピレン織物の連続片から形成され、第4の内面及び第4の外面を含むボトム部であって、前記第4の内面の上部及び下部に、主としてポリプロピレンを含み、前記第3のコーティングとは異なる第4のコーティングを有する、ボトム部と、
e.ポリプロピレン織物の連続片から形成され、第5の内面及び第5の外面を含むボトム部側の口部であって、前記第5の外面の上部に、ポリプロピレンよりも融点が低い材料を含み、前記第4のコーティングとは異なる第5のコーティングを有する、ボトム部側の口部と、
f.トップ部側の口部とトップ部との間に、トップ部側の第1のコーティングがトップ部の第2のコーティングに熱融着された第1の熱融着継ぎ目が形成され、前記第1の熱融着継ぎ目は、トップ部側の口部の第1の外面及びトップ部の第2の内面に沿う距離を延びると共に、重なることなく、トップ部側口部の第1の内面及び/又はトップ部の第2の外面に沿って延び、
g.トップ部と本体部との間に、本体部の第3のコーティングがトップ部の第2のコーティングに熱融着された第2の熱融着継ぎ目が形成され、前記第2の熱融着継ぎ目は、トップ部の第2の内面及び本体部の第3の外面に沿う距離を延びると共に、重なることなく、トップ部の第2の外面及び/又は本体部の第3の内面に沿って延び、
h.ボトム部と本体部との間に、本体部の第3のコーティングがボトム部の第4のコーティングに熱融着された第3の熱融着継ぎ目が形成され、前記第3の熱融着継ぎ目は、ボトム部の第4の内面及び本体部の第3の外面に沿う距離を延びると共に、重なることなく、ボトム部の第4の外面及び/又は本体部の第3の内面に沿って延び、
i.ボトム部と前記ボトム部側の口部との間に、ボトム側口部の第5のコーティングがボトム部の第4のコーティングに熱融着された第4の熱融着継ぎ目が形成され、前記第4の熱融着継ぎ目は、ボトム部の第4の内面及びボトム側口部の第5の外面に沿う距離を延びると共に、重なることなく、ボトム部の第4の外面及び/又はボトム側口部の第5の内面に沿って延び、
j.前記第1、第2、第3及び第4の熱融着継ぎ目の各々は、(i)バッグのポリプロピレン織物の一部分、(ii)バッグのポリプロピレン織物の一部分、(iii)前記した(i)及び(ii)のポリプロピレン織物の一部分の間に、互いに異なる2つのコーティングを含む4つの層が隣接している、バルクバッグ。 - 前記第1、第3及び第5のコーティングの各々は、50%〜90%がプロピレンベースのプラストマー、プロピレンベースのエラストマー又はそれらの混合物であり、第2及び第4のコーティングの各々は、大部分がポリプロピレンで、小部分がポリエチレンである、請求項8のバルクバッグ。
- 熱融着された継ぎ目を有する柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物バルクバッグを製造する方法であって、
a.複数のポリプロピレン織物片を準備するステップであって、前記ポリプロピレン織物片の少なくとも一部分が、主としてポリプロピレンを含む第1のコーティング又はポリプロピレンよりも融点が低い材料を含む第2のコーティングでコートされた面を有する、ポリプロピレン織物片を準備するステップと、
b.第1のコーティングでコートされた面を有するポリプロピレン織物片と、第2のコーティングでコートされた面を有するポリプロピレン織物片とを、コートされた面が向かい合うように配置することにより、重なり領域を形成するステップと、
c.前記ステップbで形成された重なり領域に、ポリプロピレンの融点よりも低い温度で、熱と圧力を加えて第2のコーティングを溶融させて、前記重なり領域に、前記第2のコーティングが前記第1のコーティングに熱融着された継ぎ目である接合部を形成するステップと、を含み、
熱融着された継ぎ目を有するバッグは、(i)バッグのポリプロピレン織物、(ii)主としてポリプロピレンを含むコーティング、(iii)ポリプロピレン織物片よりも融点が低い材料を含むコーティング、(iv)バッグのポリプロピレン織物、からなる4つの層が隣接している、方法。 - ポリプロピレン織物片は、トップ部のポリプロピレン織物片と、本体部のポリプロピレン織物片と、ボトム部のポリプロピレン織物片と、を含み、トップ部のポリプロピレン織物片が、前記第1のコーティングでコートされた面を有し、本体部のポリプロピレン織物片が、上部及び下部に前記第2のコーティングでコートされた面を有し、ボトム部のポリプロピレン織物片が前記第1のコーティングでコートされた面を有しており、本体部のポリプロピレン織物片の上部の面にコートされた第2のコーティングが、トップ部のポリプロピレン織物片の第1のコーティングに熱融着され、本体部のポリプロピレン織物下部の面にコートされた第2のコーティングが、ボトム部のポリプロピレン織物片の第1のコーティングに熱融着される、請求項10の方法。
- バルクバッグの2以上の継ぎ目は同時に形成される、請求項10の方法。
- 熱融着された継ぎ目を有する柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物バルクバッグを単一の工程で製造する方法であって、
a.8層の柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物を準備するステップであって、前記8層が、i.フラット面を有するトップ部パネル用の第1層、ii.フラット面を有する本体部パネル用の第2層、iii.ガセット面を有する本体部パネル用の第3層、iv.ガセット面を有するトップ部パネル用の第4層、v.ガセット面を有するトップ部パネル用の第5層、vi.ガセット面を有する本体部パネル用の第6層、vii.フラット面を有する本体部パネル用の第7層、及びviii.フラット面を有するトップ部パネル用の第8層であり、
各層が、プロピレンベースのプラストマー、プロピレンベースのエラストマー又はそれらの混合物を含む第1のコーティングを有するか、又は、大部分がポリプロピレンで一部分がポリエチレンである第2のコーティングのどちらかを有する、8層の柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物を準備するステップと、
b.接合されることが企図された全ての領域に、前記第1のコーティングが第2のコーティングに対向するように、ポリプロピレン織物の層を配置するステップと、
c.接合されることが企図された領域に、ポリプロピレン織物の層の重なり部が存在するようにポリプロピレン織物の層を配置して重なり部を形成するステップと、
d.重なり部の各々を、シールバーの下の中央部に配置するステップと、
e.重なり部にポリプロピレン織物の融点より低い温度の熱と圧力を加えて、前記重なり部の各々にて、前記第1のコーティングが前記第2のコーティングに熱融着された接合部を形成するステップ、とを含み、前記接合部が、バルクバッグの重なり部の各々にて、熱融着された継ぎ目として機能する、方法。 - 熱融着された継ぎ目を有する柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物バルクバッグを製造するための自動化された製造方法であって、
a.柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物の層を準備するステップであって、前記柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物が筒状の柔軟性織物の層を含み、前記層の一部がガセットをつけられ、前記層の一部がフラットであり、前記柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物の層は、プロピレンベースのプラストマー、プロピレンベースのエラストマー又はそれらの混合物を有する第1のコーティングを有するか、又は、大部分がポリプロピレンで一部分がポリエチレンである第2のコーティングを有し、ガセットをつけられた層が、その外面に、第1のコーティング又は第2のコーティングの何れかを含み、フラットな層が、その内面に、第1のコーティング又は第2のコーティングの何れかを含む、柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物の層を準備するステップと、
b.所望される1又は2以上の継ぎ目の位置で、ポリプロピレン織物の一の層が、ポリプロピレン織物の他の層と重なるように、かつ、ポリプロピレン織物の前記一の層の第1のコーティングが、ポリプロピレン織物の前記他の層の第2のコーティングと対向するように、筒状の柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物の層を配置するステップと、
c.ポリプロピレン織物の層の重なり部に、第1のコーティングの融点以上でポリプロピレンの融点以下の温度の低熱と低圧を加えて前記第1のコーティングを溶融させて、各重なり部において、前記第1のコーティングが前記第2のコーティングに熱融着された継ぎ目を有する接合部を形成するステップと、を含む、方法。
