<発明の背景>
1.発明の分野
本発明は、縫製機械及びステッチシームを用いないでバルクバッグを製造するためのバルクバッグ産業及び技術に関する。本発明は、柔軟性(flexible)の織物パッケージング、バッグ又は容器の製造に関するもので、糸汚染の虞れが無く、パッケージング、バッグ又は容器の内部との人体接触を可及的に少なくすることにより細菌感染の懸念を解消させるのに有用な製造に関する。本発明はさらに、ステッチ穴又は縫い穴を含まず柔軟性でほぼ気密なパッケージング、バッグ又は容器の製造に関する。
ポリプロピレン織物は、織物の強度、価格及び柔軟性の点で、バルクバッグ産業を含む幾つかの産業において用いられている。ポリプロピレン織物及び同様の織物は強度が極めて高く、また化学的に不活性である。ポリプロピレン織物は、加熱及び伸長工程を通じて方向性が大きく、市場のニーズに適合させるのに必要な柔軟性を維持しつつ、最大の強度を達成することができる。ポリプロピレン織物はこれらの特性を有するため、2つのポリプロピレン織物を接続する際、織物を損傷せずに接続する方法を見出すことが非常に困難であり、このため、織物の強度及び有用性が著しく低下している。
1.縫製作業では、両端が糸であるため、縫い目線毎に端部を切り取らねばならない。これらは両端でほどけることもあり、バッグ内でゴミとなって好ましくない。
2.この強靱なポリプロピレン織物を通る針は高熱となるため、糸が破損することがある。この場合、生産を一時的に停止して、機械の針通し作業をもう一度行わなければならない。
3.縫製機械は毎分数千ステッチの速度で作動することができる。このような高速では、多くの機械的部品や針の破損事故が起こり易く、その修理中、機械の生産は中止される。
4.項目2及び3のため、バルクバッグの製造に際しては、これら機械を作動させてこれら問題に対処するのに、例えば多大な労力を要する。バルクバッグの製造は世界的には主として米国外で行われ、労働賃金が安価で労働力が豊富な国で行われている。
1.剥離強度が弱い。
2.永久結合の欠如(密着型接着剤は活性であり、剥がれや再付着が繰り返されることがある)。
3.結合は温度変化による影響を受け易い(接着剤は低温で溶融し、さらに低温で不活性になることがある)。
4.剪断強度が得られるのは大面積型被覆だけである。
a.接合部が脆く、柔軟性が無い。
b.食品パッケージングに許可されていない有害成分を含むことがある。
c.織物強度が分子の再構成によって低下する。
本発明の装置及び方法は、従来の問題を、簡単かつ直接的な要領で解消するものである。本発明は、ポリプロピレン織物又は同様な織物を、縫製機械及び縫製糸を使用せずに接続する方法を提供するものである。本発明はまた、ポリエチレン織物を、縫製機械及び縫製糸を使用せずに接続する方法を提供するものである。本発明はまた、バルクバッグの製造に有用であり、ポリプロピレン織物、ポリエチレン織物又は同様な織物について、縫製機械を使用せずに接続を行なうことが所望されるあらゆる製品に適用されることができる。本発明はまた、ポリプロピレン織物又は同様な織物の接続を伴うバルクバッグ等の製品を最小の労力で製造する能力に関するものであり、そのような製品の大量生産はこれまで低賃金労働力が豊富な世界の地域でしか行なうことができなかったが、本発明では製品が必要とされる世界中の全ての地域で生産が可能である。

Claims (24)
- 熱融着シームを有する柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物バッグを製造する方法であって:
a.各々がコーティングされた面とコーティングされていない面を有する複数の織物片を配備すること;
b.前記複数の織物片を、一の織物片のコーティングされた面が他の織物片のコーティングされた面と向かい合うように配置すること;
c.1又は2以上のシーム又は接合部を形成するために、一の織物片を他の織物片に接合するための領域を選択すること;及び
d.接合される領域に、織物片の融点よりも低い温度に加熱して、1又は2以上のシーム又は接合部を形成する、方法。 - 織物片と織物片との間のシーム又は接合部は一度に形成され、柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物バルクバッグが製造される、請求項1の方法。
- 織物片と織物片との間のシーム又は接合部は1回の工程で接合され、柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物バルクバッグの主たる本体が製造される、請求項1の方法。

c)コーティングが適当位置に保持されて、織物が触れられないようにするのに十分に軽い圧力でコーティングを接合すること、を含む方法。 - 接合される織物の少なくとも一片は、接合される織物の融点よりも低い融点を有するコーティングを含み、接合される織物の少なくとも一片は、業界標準のコーティングを含む、請求項1の方法。
- 熱融着シームを有する柔軟性ポリプロピレン織物バッグを製造する方法であって:
a.各々がコーティングされた領域とコーティングされていない領域を有する複数の織物部分を配備すること;
b.前記複数の織物部分を、一の織物部分のコーティングされた面が他の織物部分のコーティングされた面と向かい合うように配置すること;
c.1又は2以上のシーム又は接合部を形成するために、一の織物部分を他の織物部分に接合するための接合領域を選択すること;及び
d.接合される接合領域に、織物部分の融点よりも低い温度に加熱して、1又は2以上のシーム又は接合部を形成する、方法。 - 織物部分は分離している、請求項21の方法。
- コーティングされた領域は、織物部分の一の面と実質的に同一の領域を占める、請求項21の方法。
- 実質的に図面に示され、明細書に記載された発明。
