Description
触媒1A:押出成形されたベータゼオライト上のAg+Pd−Rh層
比較触媒2A:押出成形されたベータゼオライト+Pd−Rh層
触媒の全ては、フロー−スルー触媒−コーティングされた基材のコアサンプル(2.54cmx8.4cm)上で、試験される。真新しい触媒及び古い触媒は、双方とも試験される。触媒コアは、フロースルー条件下で、炉中で、水熱条件下(5%のH2O、残部空気)で、800℃で80時間、エージングされる。コアは、その後、個々の排気ガス成分のマス流を調節することにより調製された供給ガス流を用いて、実験室の反応器中での炭化水素吸着について試験される。ガス流レートは、結果として30,000h−1(GHSV=30,000h−1)のガス時間単位空間速度となる21.2Lmin−1で維持される。
実施例1A並びに比較例2A及び2Bの、実物大の触媒は、2.4Lのガソリン車両で評価される。試験のそれぞれにおいて、市販のPd−RhTWC触媒は、実施例の触媒の上流の、近位連結位置に配置される。CCC TWC触媒は、前部区域に405g/ft3のPd及び15g/ft3のRh、並びに後部区域に105g/ft3のPd及び15g/ft3のRh、を含有する。システムのそれぞれは、800℃でピークに達する実施例の触媒床温を用いて150時間エージングされる。FTP75試験プロトコル下での、システムの排気管総HC(THC)排出物は、表2に示される。触媒1Aは、2つの比較例と比較して更なる4mg/mileのTHCを除去する。
Claims (10)
- (1)銀を含有する押出成形されたゼオライト基材;及び(2)銀を含有する押出成形されたゼオライト基材に配置された触媒層を含み、触媒層が1以上の白金族金属及び1以上の無機酸化物キャリアを含む担持された白金族金属触媒を含む、三元触媒。
- ゼオライトが、ベータゼオライト、フォージャサイト、L−ゼオライト、ZSMゼオライト、SSZ−ゼオライト、AEIフレームワークゼオライト、モルデナイト、チャバサイト、オフレタイト、エリオナイト、クリノプチロライト、シリカライト、アルミニウムホスフェートのゼオライト、メソ孔ゼオライト、金属導入されたゼオライト及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の三元触媒。
- ゼオライトが、ベータゼオライト、ZSM−5、SSZ−33、Y−ゼオライト及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1又は2に記載の三元触媒。
- 1以上の白金族金属が、白金、パラジウム、ロジウム及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の三元触媒。
- 1以上の白金族金属がパラジウム及びロジウムである、請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載の三元触媒。
- 1以上の無機酸化物キャリアが、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア、ジルコニア、セリア、ニオビア、タンタル酸化物、モリブデン酸化物、タングステン酸化物、及び混合酸化物又はそれらの複合酸化物からなる群から選択される、請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載の三元触媒。
- 押出成形されたゼオライト基材がフロースルー基材である、請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載の三元触媒。
- 銀を含有する押出成形されたゼオライト基材が、0.04から24.7g/Lまでの銀を含む、請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載の三元触媒。
- 請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の三元触媒を含む、内燃機関のための排気システム。
- 選択的触媒還元触媒システム;微粒子フィルター;選択的触媒還元フィルターシステム;NOx吸着触媒;又はそれらの組合せを更に含む、請求項9に記載の排気システム。
