Claims (18)
- 複数の粒状体からなる吸水処理材を製造する方法であって、
衛生用品に由来する、吸水性ポリマーが付着した紙粉を準備する準備工程と、
前記準備工程において準備された前記紙粉に残留している前記吸水性ポリマーである残留ポリマーを第1の粉砕機で粉砕する第1の粉砕工程と、
前記各粒状体を構成する粒状の芯部を形成する芯部形成工程と、
前記芯部を覆うように、前記紙粉と前記第1の粉砕工程において粉砕された前記残留ポリマーとを含有する被覆部を形成する被覆部形成工程と、を含み、
前記第1の粉砕工程において粉砕される前記残留ポリマーは、当該第1の粉砕工程を実行する直前の時点で前記紙粉に付着している前記吸水性ポリマーであり、
前記第1の粉砕工程においては、前記残留ポリマーを前記紙粉に付着した状態のまま前記第1の粉砕機にかけることにより、当該残留ポリマーの粒径を小さくし、
前記被覆部形成工程において前記被覆部の形成に用いられる前記紙粉は、前記第1の粉砕工程において前記第1の粉砕機にかけられた前記紙粉であることを特徴とする吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1の粉砕工程においては、前記残留ポリマーの平均粒径が前記第1の粉砕機にかける直前の1/2以下となるように当該残留ポリマーを粉砕する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項2に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1の粉砕工程においては、前記残留ポリマーの平均粒径が前記第1の粉砕機にかける直前の1/4以下となるように当該残留ポリマーを粉砕する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至3の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1の粉砕工程においては、前記残留ポリマーの平均粒径が50μm以下となるように当該残留ポリマーを粉砕する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項4に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1の粉砕工程においては、前記残留ポリマーの平均粒径が25μm以下となるように当該残留ポリマーを粉砕する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1の粉砕機は、微粉砕機である吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項6に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1の粉砕機は、ジェットミル又はターボミルである吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至7の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1の粉砕工程よりも前に、前記紙粉から当該紙粉に付着した前記吸水性ポリマーの一部を分離する分離工程を含む吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項8に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記分離工程において前記紙粉から分離された前記吸水性ポリマーである分離ポリマーを第2の粉砕機で粉砕する第2の粉砕工程を含み、
前記被覆部形成工程においては、前記紙粉及び前記残留ポリマーに加えて、前記第2の粉砕工程において粉砕された前記分離ポリマーを含有する前記被覆部を形成する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項9に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記被覆部形成工程よりも前に、前記第1の粉砕工程において粉砕された前記残留ポリマーと前記第2の粉砕工程において粉砕された前記分離ポリマーとを混合することにより、前記被覆部の材料である被覆材料を得る混合工程を含む吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項10に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記混合工程においては、前記被覆材料に占める前記分離ポリマーの重量割合が当該被覆材料に占める前記残留ポリマーの重量割合よりも小さくなるように、前記残留ポリマーと前記分離ポリマーとを混合する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項11に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記混合工程においては、前記被覆材料に占める前記分離ポリマーの重量割合が当該被覆材料に占める前記残留ポリマーの重量割合の1/2以下となるように、前記残留ポリマーと前記分離ポリマーとを混合する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項9乃至12の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1の粉砕工程においては、前記残留ポリマーの平均粒径が前記第2の粉砕工程において粉砕された前記分離ポリマーの平均粒径の80%以上120%以下となるように、当該残留ポリマーを粉砕する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項9乃至13の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第2の粉砕機は、微粉砕機である吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項14に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第2の粉砕機は、ジェットミル又はターボミルである吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項14又は15に記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記第1及び第2の粉砕工程においては、1つの微粉砕機をそれぞれ前記第1及び第2の粉砕機として共用する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至16の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記準備工程においては、前記紙粉として、前記衛生用品の製造時に発生する紙粉を準備する吸水処理材の製造方法。 - 請求項1乃至17の何れかに記載の吸水処理材の製造方法において、
前記衛生用品は、紙おむつ、生理用ナプキン又は尿取パッドである吸水処理材の製造方法。
