Description
本発明に従って、標準的な剥離試験を用いて、基材上のコーティングまたはインクの接着性を定量化した。具体的には、放射線照射後すぐに、サンプルの表面全体に、3M 600 Scotch Transparent Tapeをしっかり付着させた。サンプルの表面と直角に手の力を加えることによって、そのテープを素早く剥がした。そのサンプルにおける薄片の脱離を目視検査した。一般に、サンプルの外観は0〜3の尺度で分類し、0(インク剥離なし)が最良の尺度であり、5(インクが完全に剥離)が最悪の尺度である。薄片脱離が見られなかったサンプル面積に対する、薄片脱離が見られたサンプル表面積を割り出すことによって、サンプルの接着性を数字で定量化することもできる。
この試験方法を用いて、ASTM D4756に従って硬化の程度を割り出す。この試験は、硬化済みの膜が破損するか、または突き破られるまで、MEKを含浸させたチーズクロスまたは綿パッドで、硬化済みの膜の表面を摩擦することを含む。チーズクロスの種類、ストローク距離、ストローク速度、および摩擦動作における大まかな印加圧力は、プロトコールに定められており、参照により、その全体が組み込まれる。摩擦は、往復摩擦として計数する(前方への摩擦1回と、後方への摩擦1回が、1回の往復摩擦を構成する)。
模擬高脂肪食品を用いて、下記の試験法に従い、基材の、食品と接しない側(インクが印刷されていない側)で抽出性試験を行った。
下記の実施例は、本発明の具体的な態様を例示しており、いかなる点においても、本発明の範囲を限定することは意図されておらず、本発明の範囲を限定するものと解釈すべきではない。
図2に示されているとともに、下記の表3に記載されているように、市販のUVフレキソインクであるSun Chemical製のMaxD cyan(すなわちFLNFV5482107)を、コーティングされていないOPP膜に、800線、1.89bcmのアナロックスを用いて塗布し、300ワットの水銀ランプを中出力で200FPMにて用いて硬化させた。
図3に示されているとともに、下記の表3に記載されているように、市販のUVフレキソインクであるSun Chemical製のMaxD white(すなわちFLNFV1482594)を、コーティングされていないHDPE膜に、360線、4.14bcmのアナロックスを用いて塗布し、300ワットの水銀ランプを中出力で250FPMにて用いて硬化させた。
図4に示されているとともに、下記の表3に記載されているように、アクリル樹脂、二官能性および三官能性アクリレートモノマー、TiO2、顔料分散剤、UV反応開始剤化合物、ならびに防止剤からなる実験用のUVフレキソ白色インク(すなわちR3590−113−1)を、コーティングされていないBOPP膜に、360線、4.14bcmのアナロックスを用いて塗布し、300ワットの水銀ランプを中出力で200FPMにて用いて硬化させた。
図5に示されているとともに、下記の表3に記載されているように、実施例1で用いたものと同じ市販のインク(すなわち、MaxD cyan−FLNFV5482107を、コーティングされていないOPP膜に、800線、1.89bcmのアナロックスを用いて塗布し、300ワットの水銀ランプを中出力で300FPMにて用いて硬化させた。
図6に示されているとともに、下記の表3に記載されているように、市販のUV平版用インクであるSun Chemical製のStarluxe black(すなわちFLTSV9483557)を、コーティングされていないOPP膜に、Little Joe製校正機を用いて塗布し、300ワットの水銀ランプを300FPMで用いて硬化させた。
コロナ処理した未コーティングのBOPP透明膜の上に、上記の実施例3で用いたUVフレキソ白色実験用インクを380メッシュでスクリーン印刷することによって、一連の複製印刷部分を調製した。LEDランプを用いて、表4に示されている各種の構成およびライン速度で、この複製印刷部分を硬化させた。

MaxD cyanをHDPE膜に、800線、1.89bcmのアナロックスを用いて印刷することによって、2組の複製印刷部(サンプル7Aおよび7B)を調製した。300ワットの水銀ランプを中出力で150FPMのライン速度で用いて、印刷した膜を硬化させた。
Claims (7)
- コーティングまたはインク組成物を非多孔性基材に塗布する方法であって、
前記組成物を前記非多孔性基材の第1の表面に塗布する工程と、
前記非多孔性基材の前記塗布済みの第1の表面に放射線を1回以上照射する工程と、
前記非多孔性基材の第2の表面に放射線を1回以上照射する工程と、
を含み、
前記非多孔性基材がプライマー処理または化学処理されておらず、
前記第2の表面に放射線を照射してから、前記塗布済みの第1の表面に照射し、
前記非多孔性基材が、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレートグリコール、ポリ塩化ビニル、またはこれらの混合物から選択され、
前記組成物が1つ以上の熱可塑性アクリル不活性樹脂を含むエネルギー硬化性インクである、方法。 - 前記塗布済みの第1の表面に、前記第2の表面よりも少ない合計回数で放射線を照射する、請求項1に記載の方法。
