Description
Claims (15)
- 1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含む流体を処理するためのシステムであって、該システムが:
(a)コンタクタであって:
(i)1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含む流体の第1の部分を受取るための、少なくとも1つの入口接続部;
(ii)生物増殖媒体を受取るための、少なくとも1つの入口接続部;
(iii)微生物増殖物を含む生物学的汚泥(「生物汚泥」)を受取るための、少なくとも1つの入口接続部;及び
(iv)流体、生物増殖媒体、及び微生物増殖物を含む混合物を排出するための、少なくとも1つの出口接続部、を含む該コンタクタと;
(b)エアレータであって:
(i)1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体の残余部分を受取るための、少なくとも1つの入口接続部;
(ii)少なくとも1つのコンタクタ出口接続部へ流体連結された、少なくとも1つの入口接続部であり、前記混合物のいくらか又は全てを受取るための少なくとも1つの該入口接続部;
(iii)酸素含有ガスを受取るための、少なくとも1つの入口接続部;
(iv)前記混合物中に酸素含有ガスを分散して、微生物増殖物の少なくとも一部による1つ以上の物質の少なくとも一部の生理的消費により、少なくとも微生物増殖物と生物増殖媒体とを含む生物汚泥の形成を好気的に刺激するための、少なくとも1つのガス分散システム;
(v)1つ以上の物質の一部又は全てを第2の濃度で含む流体を排出するための、少なくとも1つの出口接続部であり、第2の濃度は第1の濃度よりも低い、該出口接続部;及び
(vi)エアレータ内の生物汚泥の第1の部分を前記コンタクタへ排出するための、少なくとも1つの出口接続部、を含む該エアレータと;及び
(c)エアレータからコンタクタへ排出されない生物汚泥の残余部分を、少なくとも60重量%の生物増殖媒体を含んでなる分離された生物増殖媒体成分と、生体成分とに配分するためのセパレータであって:
(i)前記エアレータにより排出された前記生物汚泥の残余部分を受取るための、少なくとも1つのエアレータ出口接続部に流体連結された、少なくとも1つの入口接続部;
(ii)前記生物汚泥の残余部分を流体リッチ部分と生物汚泥リッチ部分とに配分するための、少なくとも1つの液体/固体分離段階;
(iii)前記生物汚泥リッチ部分の少なくともいくらかを、分離された生物増殖媒体成分と生体成分とに配分するための、少なくとも1つの固体/固体分離段階;
(iv)流体リッチ部分の一部を排出するための、少なくとも1つの排出接続部;
(v)生体成分を排出するための、少なくとも1つの排出接続部;及び

- 前記炭化水素が:ベンゼン化合物、トルエン化合物、エチルベンゼン化合物及びキシレン化合物のうちの1つ以上を含む、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ以上の物質がさらに:アンモニア及び硫化水素のうちの1つ以上を含んでなる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 水と前記1つ以上の物質とを含んでなる流体が、1つ以上の第四級アミン化合物を含んでなる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 液体/固体分離段階が:重力沈降池、遠心分離機、又はフィルタ、の少なくとも1つを含んでなる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記固体/固体分離段階が:1つ以上の遠心分離機、1つ以上の液体サイクロン、及び1つ以上のドラムセパレータのうちの少なくとも1つを含んでなる、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記コンタクタが好気的コンタクタを含んでなり、これにおいて流体、生物増殖媒体、及び微生物増殖物が、好気条件下に維持される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 流体中に存在する1つ以上の物質の濃度を、第1の濃度から、第1の濃度より低い第2の濃度へ低減する方法であって:
微生物増殖物をコンタクタ内で、1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体を含む環境に順応させて、順化微生物増殖物を提供すること;
前記順化微生物増殖物の少なくとも一部と、1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体と、及び生物増殖媒体とを、エアレータに投入すること;
前記エアレータ内で、生物増殖媒体濃度を、1リットルの流体当たり1ミリグラムの生物増殖媒体(mg/l)から5,000mg/lに維持すること;
酸素含有ガスを流体中に分散させることにより、前記エアレータ内で、溶解酸素濃度を、1リットルの流体当たり0.1ミリグラムの酸素(mg/l)から5mg/lに維持すること;
前記エアレータ内で、前記微生物増殖物と前記生物増殖媒体とを含む生物汚泥の形成を促進すること;
前記微生物増殖物の少なくとも一部による、流体中に存在する1つ以上の物質の少なくとも一部の生理的消費により、流体中の1つ以上の物質の濃度を、第1の濃度から第2の濃度へ低減すること;
一部又は全ての物質を第2の濃度で含有する流体を、前記エアレータから排出すること;及び
生物学的汚泥の第1の部分を、前記エアレータから除去すること;
前記エアレータからの前記生物汚泥の第1の部分を前記コンタクタに投入すること;
エアレータからコンタクタに投入されなかった生物汚泥の残余部分を前記エアレータから除去すること;
セパレータ内の少なくとも1つの固体/固体分離段階で、前記生物汚泥の残余部分を、前記微生物増殖物を含んでなる少なくとも一つの生体成分と、少なくとも50重量%の分離された生物増殖媒体を含んでなる生物増殖媒体成分とに分離すること;及び
分離された生物増殖媒体成分の少なくとも一部を前記コンタクタへ投入して、少なくとも1つの生物増殖媒体の少なくとも一部をコンタクタに提供すること、
を含んでなる該方法。 - コンタクタ内で、1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体を含む環境に微生物増殖物を順化させることが:
好気条件下に、1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体の少なくとも一部を、1つ以上の生物増殖媒体と、及び微生物増殖物の少なくとも一部を含む生体成分と組合せること、
を含んでなる、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体の少なくとも一部を、生物増殖媒体と組合せることが:
1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体の少なくとも一部を、ケナフを含む1つ以上の粉末天然リグノセルロース材料(PNLM)を含む生物増殖媒体と組合せること、
を含んでなる、請求項11に記載の方法。 - 1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体を含む環境に微生物増殖物を順化させることが:
炭化水素及びフェノール化合物から選択される1つ以上の化合物を500重量百万分率(ppm)以上の第1の濃度で含んでなる、1つ以上の物質を含有する水を含んでなる流体を含む環境に、微生物増殖物を順化させること、
を含んでなる、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体を含む環境に微生物増殖物を順化させることが:
アンモニア化合物又は硫化水素化合物、の少なくとも1つを20重量百万分率(ppm)以上の第1の濃度で含んでなる、1つ以上の物質を含有する水を含んでなる流体を含む環境に、微生物増殖物を順化させること、
を含んでなる、請求項10に記載の方法。 - 1つ以上の物質を第1の濃度で含有する流体を含む環境に微生物増殖物を順化させることが:
第四級アミンを50重量百万分率(ppm)以上の第1の濃度で含んでなる、1つ以上の物質を含有する水を含んでなる流体を含む環境に、微生物増殖物を順化させること、
