Description
文献1は、UV架橋性部位を有する(メタ)アクリレートエステルを含むモノマーの(メタ)アクリルコポリマーを含むUV架橋性接着剤シートを開示し、UV架橋前の貯蔵弾性率は、30℃及び1Hzで少なくとも5.0×104Pa、1.0×106Pa以下、80℃及び1Hzで5.0×104Pa以下であり、UV架橋後の貯蔵弾性率は130℃及び1Hzで少なくとも1.0×103Paである。
特許文献1:日本国特開第2011−184582A号
発明者らは、UV架橋性部位を有するアクリルコポリマーを含むUV架橋性接着剤シートを以前に発明した。この接着剤シートは、シートの厚さが3次元表面トポグラフィーの高さにほぼ等しい場合であっても(例えば20〜30μm)、UV架橋段階の前に熱及び/又は圧力を加えることにより、隆起部分又は突起などの3次元表面トポグラフィーに十分に一致する利点を有する。更に、この利点は、例えば、画像表示モジュール又は光学的部材に使用するのに優れた接着剤適合性に寄与し(すなわち、隆起部分又は突起などの部分周辺の空間その他の欠陥の低減)、かつ、低減した内部応力により、適用中の色ゆがみの防止に寄与し(すなわち、過剰な応力が被着体又は接着剤シートにかからないようにする条件下で)、及び同様の事柄に寄与する。
本発明の一実施形態は、第1基材、第2基材、及び第1基材と第2基材との間に配置された硬化接着剤シートを含む積層体を製造するための方法を提供し、第1基材と第2基材のうち少なくとも一方が、その主表面の一方の少なくとも一部分にわたって3次元表面トポグラフィーを有する。この方法は、次の工程を含む:放射線硬化性接着剤シート前駆体をシートに形成する工程であって、この前駆体は、部分的に重合した(メタ)アクリルモノマーを含むポリマー/モノマー混合物と、第1波長以下の短波長放射線により活性化される放射線反応性部位を有するモノマーと、第1波長よりも長い波長の放射線により、ポリマー/モノマー混合物及び放射線反応性部位を有するモノマーの重合を開始させる光開始剤と、を含む、工程と、前駆体に第1波長より長い波長の放射線を照射して放射線硬化性接着剤シート前駆体を重合させ、放射線硬化性接着剤シートを形成する工程と、放射線硬化性接着剤シートを、第1基材の少なくとも1つの表面に隣接して配置する工程と、第2基材を、放射線硬化性接着剤シートに隣接して配置する工程と、熱及び/又は圧力を放射線硬化性接着剤シートに加えて、シートを3次元表面トポグラフィーに一致させる工程と、放射線硬化性接着剤シートに、第1波長以下の短波長放射線を含む放射線を照射して、硬化接着剤シートを得る工程。
本発明により、照射前に、十分な流動性と、被着体への十分な初期接着力を伴い、また照射後に、十分な硬度(特に、高い貯蔵弾性率)を伴う、流動特性を呈する、厚く高透明度の硬化接着剤シートを含む積層体の製造方法が提供される。

37.5質量部の2−EHA、50.0質量部のISTA、12.5質量部のAA、及び0.04質量部のIrg651の混合物を調製し、ガラス容器で完全に混合し、窒素でパージして溶存酸素を除去した。次にこの混合物に数分間、低圧水銀ランプを使用してUV照射を行い、部分的に重合させて、ポリマー/モノマー混合物を得た。得られたポリマー/モノマー混合物の粘度は、約670mPa・sであった。

100質量部のポリマー/モノマー混合物当たりAMSD及びDarTPOの量をそれぞれ、0.20質量部及び0.60質量部に調節したことを除き、放射線硬化性接着剤シートは実施例1と同様にして製造された。
100質量部のポリマー/モノマー混合物当たりAMSD及びDarTPOの量をそれぞれ、0.10質量部及び0.60質量部に調節したことを除き、放射線硬化性接着剤シートは実施例1と同様にして製造された。
AMSDは添加せず、100質量部のポリマー/モノマー混合物当たりDarTPOの量を0.60質量部に調節し、放射線硬化性接着剤シート前駆体は、低圧水銀ランプの代わりにFusion UV Systems Japan製造のF−300 UV照射装置(Hバルブ、120W/cm)を用いて、UV照射が行われたことを除き、放射線硬化性接着剤シートが実施例1と同様にして製造された。EIT UV POWER PUCK(登録商標)II UV計を用いて測定した照射UVエネルギー合計量は、UV−A(320〜390nm)について76mJ/cm2、UV−B(280〜320nm)について0mJ/cm2、UV−C(250〜260nm)について0mJ/cm2、及びUV−V(395〜445nm)について690mJ/cm2であった。
実施例1と同様にして放射線硬化性接着剤シートを製造した後、8172Pをシリコーン剥離処理フィルムから剥がし、その前面及び後面をそれぞれ10分間ずつ、低圧水銀ランプを用いて照射し、本実施例による最初の硬化接着剤シートを製造した。UV照射を行う前に8172Pを剥がすということは、第1波長より短波長(この場合は約370nm以下)を含む放射線も適用されたことを意味する。前面に10分間適用された照射UVエネルギーの合計量は、Topcon Technohouse UVR−2/UD−40を用いた測定により、約1,600mJ/cm2であった。
図5に示すように、「3D」と記された文字52が、シルクスクリーン印刷により、フロートガラス51(40mm×70mm×0.55mm)の表面に印刷された。印刷された文字の厚さ(高さ)は7μmに調節され、大きさは約4mm×8mmに調節された。実施例1で製造された放射線硬化性接着剤シート53を、この印刷されたガラスの表面にハンドローラーを用いて適用し、次いでその上に、カバーガラス54(24mm×32mm×0.15mm)を置いた。カバーガラスは厚さが薄いため、ゆがみに敏感であると見なすことができる。構成体全体をオートクレーブに入れ、0.5MPa及び60℃で30分間処理し、放射線硬化性接着剤シートを含む積層体を製造した(図5)。
比較実施例5において第1波長以下の短波長放射線も含む放射線での照射により製造された最初の硬化接着剤シートが使用されたことを除いて、硬化接着剤シートを含む積層体が、実施例6と同様に製造された。
本開示による、放射線硬化性接着剤シート、放射線硬化性接着剤シートを含む積層体、及び硬化接着剤シートを含む積層体の特性が、下記の方法により測定された。
各実施例による放射線硬化性接着剤シートのG’及びtanδを評価するために、ARES動的粘弾性計(TA Instruments(New Castle、Delaware))を用いて動的機械分析(DMA)が実施された。放射線硬化性接着剤シートを厚さ約3mmに重ね、8mmφパンチブレードを用いてパンチすることにより製造した試験ストリップが、測定に使用された。測定は、温度範囲−40℃〜200℃にわたって温度増加率5℃/分で、剪断モード(1Hz)で実施された。G’及びtanδの結果を図6に、また80℃でのG’を表1に示す。
実施例1による放射線硬化性接着剤シートを含む積層体と、比較実施例5による最初の硬化接着剤シートを含む積層体とを、60℃及び0.5MPaのオートクレーブに30分間置き、肉眼で観察した。図7に示すように、実施例1による積層体にはエアポケットは観察されなかったが、比較実施例5では、図8に示すように、大きなエアポケットが観察され、このことは、最初の硬化接着剤シートが、ガラスシートの周囲に印刷された隆起インク部分に一致していなかったことを示している。
実施例6による放射線硬化性接着剤シートを含む積層体と、比較実施例7による最初の硬化接着剤シートを含む積層体とを、Talysurf CCI 6000 Optical 3D Profiler(AMETEK Incの子会社Taylor Hobson Ltd(Paoli、Pennsylvania)から入手)のステージに置き、カバーガラス表面のゆがみを測定した。印刷文字を中心に、17.5mm×7.0mmの面積が測定された。測定された3D輪郭(図5、55)の断面を、図9(実施例6)及び図10(比較実施例7)に示す。比較実施例7による放射線硬化性接着剤シートは、第1波長以下の短波長放射線も含む放射線での照射により製造されたもので、隆起印刷部分にうまく一致しておらず、カバーガラスの表面のゆがみが確認された。
