Description
より具体的に、本発明はハロゲン化ポリマーの残留酸度.削減プロセスに関する。
ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ(塩化ビニリデン)などのハロビニルポリマーは建設業界で使用される。ハロビニルポリマーは多重化後にハロゲン化され、力学的および誘電特性、酸、油、ガソリンへの抵抗力などの特性を改善している。塩化ポリ塩化ビニル(CPVC)、塩化ポリ(塩化ビニリデン) (CPVDC)、塩化エチレンクロロトリフルオロエチレン共重合体(CE-CTFE)、塩化ポリプロピレン、塩化ポリエチレンはハロゲン化ポリマーの代表例の一部である。優れる力学的および誘電特性と酸、油、ガソリンへの抵抗力を有する塩化ビニルポリマー建材として広範に利用されている。
物理的処理は、塩素または塩酸との直接反応をさせずに塩化ポリマーの酸度を下げる任意の機械的プロセスとして定義できる。
本発明の一部の目的について次に説明する。
先行技術の持つ一つまたは複数の課題を改善するかまたは有用な代替手段を提供することが本発明の目的である。
本発明の局面に従って、ハロゲン化ポリマーの残留酸度を最大2000 ppm以下まで削減し、同プロセス中に同時にハロゲン化ポリマーの黄色度指数を3.5以下に維持するプロセスを提供する。同プロセスは以下の構成とする:
・ハロゲン化ポリマーを回転真空乾燥に掛け、次に、
・回転真空乾燥済みハロゲン化ポリマーをカルシウム(Ca)、マグネシウム(Mg)、ベリリウム(Be)、ストロンチウム(Sr)、バリウム(Ba)から成る群から選ぶアルカリ土類金属の水酸化物のアルカリ金属塩溶液で中和する。
ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)の塩化処理によって作られるポリ塩化ビニルポリマー(CPVC)には残留塩素と塩酸がポリマーの穴と表面に把捉されており、12000ppm以上の酸度を呈する。こうしたCPVC樹脂は不安定であり、化合に用いることはできない。
ポリ塩化ビニルポリマーの塩化後に得られるポリ塩化ビニルポリマー(CPVC)スラリーをろ過し、中性になるまで水で洗浄した。このウェットケーキを減圧下55℃で2時間乾燥した。乾燥されたCPVC粉体をさらに、水酸化カルシウム0.0125(N)溶液(Ca(OH)2 / CPVC v/wt比10:1)で処理した。このスラリーをろ過し、洗浄した後、70℃で3時間乾燥した。CPVC樹脂の酸度は12000ppmであることが判明した。
例1で得た100 gmsの乾燥CPVC樹脂(酸度12000ppm)を表1に示すように、異なる組み合わせの物理的および/または化学的処理に掛けた。乾燥粉体の色と酸度を試験した。黄色度指数をCIE Labの色値を使用して測定した。
CPVCの物理的および化学的処理を組み合わせた処理を含む本発明のプロセスはハロゲン化ポリマーの酸度を2000ppmまで削減する。本発明のプロセスには以下の優位性がある。
・化学的処理中に中和剤/塩基の必要量がより少なく済み、リアクターの負荷容量が改善する。
・化学的処理中に中和用の強アルカリ溶液を使用せずに済み、プロセスが経済的で環境に無害である。
・ポリマー樹脂の望ましくない変色が防止される。
・塩化ポリマー樹脂の熱安定性と動的力学的特性を改善する。
Claims (4)
- ハロゲン化ポリマーの残留酸度を削減し且つ黄色度指数を維持するプロセスであって、前記プロセスは以下から構成される:
i. ハロゲン化ポリマーを回転真空乾燥に掛け、この回転真空乾燥は、温度範囲20〜90℃、圧力1〜5 torrの真空下で、1〜5時間行われ、次に、回転真空乾燥済みハロゲン化ポリマーをアルカリ土類金属塩溶液で中和し、このプロセスのあいだ、ハロゲン化ポリマーの残留酸度は2000ppm以下に削減され、同時にハロゲン化ポリマーの黄色度指数を3.5以下に維持する。 - 請求項1に請求されるプロセスであって、ここに、アルカリ土類金属塩溶液はカルシウム(Ca)、マグネシウム(Mg)、ベリリウム(Be)、ストロンチウム(Sr)、バリウム(Ba)から成る群から選ぶアルカリ土類金属の水酸化物である。
- 請求項1に請求されるプロセスであって、ここに回転真空乾燥済みハロゲン化ポリマーを20〜40℃で0.005M〜0.02Mの水酸化カルシウム溶液で中和する。
- 請求項1に請求されるプロセスであって、ここにハロゲン化ポリマーは塩化ポリ塩化ビニル(CPVC)である。
