Claims (10)
- 発光ダイオードおよび前記発光ダイオードが発光する光にて励起されて発光する波長変換材料を含み白色光を発光する光源と、該光源が配置される端面である入光端面、および、該入光端面から入射した光を出射させる出射面を有する導光板と、を備える面状照明装置において、
前記導光板は、前記出射面に対向する裏面に、前記波長変換材料が発する光および前記発光ダイオードが発する光それぞれを反射し、かつ、前記波長変換材料が発光する光よりも前記発光ダイオードが発光する光を主として散乱させる光拡散部が設けられ、
前記光拡散部は、
前記導光板において色むらの発生する領域に合わせた位置に設けられること
を特徴とする面状照明装置。 - 前記光拡散部は、
前記導光板と同一材料で一体的に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の面状照明装置。 - 発光ダイオードおよび前記発光ダイオードが発光する光にて励起されて発光する波長変換材料を含み白色光を発光する光源と、該光源が配置される端面である入光端面、および、該入光端面から入射した光を出射させる出射面を有する導光板と、を備える面状照明装置において、
前記導光板は、前記出射面または前記出射面に対向する裏面の少なくとも一方に、前記波長変換材料が発光する光よりも前記発光ダイオードが発光する光を主として散乱させる光拡散部が設けられ、
前記光拡散部は、
前記導光板において色むらの発生する領域に合わせた位置に、前記導光板と同一材料で一体的に設けられることを特徴とする面状照明装置。 - 前記光拡散部は、前記入光端面に対向した終端面に近い領域に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の面状照明装置。
- 前記光拡散部が、前記波長変換材料が発光する光よりも前記発光ダイオードが発光する光を主としてレイリー散乱させる微細な凹凸を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の面状照明装置。
- 前記光拡散部は、前記微細な凹凸の面積密度が前記入光端面から離れるにしたがって漸増する遷移領域を有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の面状照明装置。
- 前記光拡散部は、前記微細な凹凸の面積密度が前記入光端面に沿って増加または減少する領域を有することを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載の面状照明装置。
- 前記光拡散部が、前記発光ダイオードが発光する光の波長よりも小さい前記微細な凹凸を含むことを特徴とする請求項5から7のいずれか1項に記載の面状照明装置。
- 前記微細な凹凸の平均高さが、前記発光ダイオードが発光する光の波長よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の面状照明装置。
- 前記発光ダイオードは、青色光を発光する青色発光ダイオードであり、前記波長変換材料は、該青色光にて励起されて前記青色光よりも長波長の光を発光する蛍光体であることを特徴とする請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の面状照明装置。
