Claims (3)
- 複数の触媒コンバータ素子(3)を有する触媒コンバータ反応装置(1)であって、
複数の前記触媒コンバータ素子(3)の全入射フロー吸気表面積が、前記触媒コンバータ反応装置(1)のフロー吸気表面積よりも大きく、
前記触媒コンバータ反応装置(1)の前記フロー吸気表面積は、メインフロー方向(S)に面する前記触媒コンバータ素子側の表面積として定義され、
前記触媒コンバータ素子(3)は、前記触媒コンバータ反応装置(1)に複数配置された触媒コンバータモジュール(2)内にそれぞれ装着されており、
複数の前記触媒コンバータモジュール(2)は、排気ガスが、前記触媒コンバータモジュール(2)内に収容される前記触媒コンバータ素子(3)中を、前記吸気側及び/又は排出側でのフロー方向と異なる2方向に交互に流れるように、当該フロー方向に傾斜して配置されることを特徴とする触媒コンバータ反応装置。 - 請求項1に記載の触媒コンバータ反応装置であって、
前記触媒コンバータモジュール(2)は、排気ガスが、前記モジュールの前記触媒コンバータ素子(3)を経由後に再合流して、前記吸気側及び/又は前記排出側での前記フロー方向と平行に流れるように設けられることを特徴とする触媒コンバータ反応装置。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載の触媒コンバータ反応装置であって、
前記触媒コンバータ素子(3)は、前記吸気側及び/又は前記排出側での前記フロー方向に対して60度傾斜して配置されていることを特徴とする触媒コンバータ反応装置。
