Claims (17)
- 熱空気式アクチュエータにおいて、
基板と、
基板上に形成された絶縁層と、
流体チャンバ内に配置された非ハロゲン化された作動流体と、
作動可能な膜を備えるデバイス層の少なくとも一部によって流体チャンバから分離されたインクチャンバと、
絶縁層と流体チャンバとの間に形成された発熱素子とを備え、
流体チャンバ内の作動流体の沸点温度が、約100℃から約500℃の範囲であり、
作動流体の引火点が、約60℃よりも大きい、熱空気式アクチュエータ。 - さらに、インクチャンバ内に配置されたインクを備える、請求項1に記載の熱空気式アクチュエータ。
- 基板の熱伝導率が、作動流体の熱伝導率よりも大きい、請求項1に記載の熱空気式アクチュエータ。
- 作動流体の熱伝導率が、約0.2W/m・K未満である、請求項1に記載の熱空気式アクチュエータ。
- 作動流体の沸点温度が、約150℃から約350℃の範囲である、請求項1に記載の熱空気式アクチュエータ。
- 作動流体が、安息香酸ベンジル、1,3−ブタンジオール、1−デカノール、マロン酸ジエチル、エーテルジヘキシル、フタル酸ジメチル、1−ドデカノール、n−ヘプタデカン、n−ヘキサデカン、サリチル酸メチル、n−ペンタデカン、フェニルエチルアルコール、2−ピロリジノン、n−テトラデカン、テトラヒドロフルフリル・アルコール又はトリエチレン・グリコールから構成される群から選択される、請求項1に記載の熱空気式アクチュエータ。
- 作動可能な膜が、ステンレス鋼を含む、請求項1に記載の熱空気式アクチュエータ。
- 熱空気式アクチュエータを製造する方法において、
基板上に絶縁層を形成することと、
流体チャンバを形成することと、
絶縁層と流体チャンバとの間に発熱素子を形成することと、
作動可能な膜を備えるデバイス層を形成することと、
デバイス層の少なくとも一部によって流体チャンバから分離されたインクチャンバを形成することと、
非ハロゲン化された作動流体により流体チャンバの少なくとも一部を充填することと、を含み、
流体チャンバ内の作動流体の沸点温度が、約100℃から約500℃の範囲であり、
作動流体の引火点が、約60℃よりも大きい、熱空気式アクチュエータを製造する方法。 - インクでインクチャンバの少なくとも一部を充填することを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 基板の熱伝導率が、作動流体の熱伝導率よりも大きい、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 作動流体の熱伝導率が、約0.2W/m・K未満である、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 作動流体の沸点温度が、約150℃から約350℃の範囲である、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 作動流体が、安息香酸ベンジル、1,3−ブタンジオール、1−デカノール、マロン酸ジエチル、エーテルジヘキシル、フタル酸ジメチル、1−ドデカノール、n−ヘプタデカン、n−ヘキサデカン、サリチル酸メチル、n−ペンタデカン、フェニルエチルアルコール、2−ピロリジノン、n−テトラデカン、テトラヒドロフルフリル・アルコール又はトリエチレン・グリコールから構成される群から選択される、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 作動可能な膜が、ステンレス鋼を含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 熱空気式アクチュエータを動作させる方法において、
基板と、
基板上に形成された絶縁層と、
流体チャンバ内に配置された非ハロゲン化された作動流体と、
作動可能な膜を備えるデバイス層の少なくとも一部によって流体チャンバから分離されたインクチャンバと、
絶縁層と流体チャンバとの間に形成された発熱素子とを含む熱空気式アクチュエータを提供することと、
少なくとも蒸気泡が流体チャンバ内に形成するように作動流体の少なくとも一部を加熱するように発熱素子を活性化させることと、
作動可能な膜を作動させてインクチャンバからインクを吐出させることと、を備え、
流体チャンバ内の作動流体の沸点温度が、約100℃から約500℃の範囲であり、
作動流体の引火点が、約60℃よりも大きく、
熱空気式アクチュエータは、作動流体の沸点温度より低い定常状態温度で維持される、方法。 - 作動流体の熱伝導率が、約0.2W/m・K未満である、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 作動流体が、安息香酸ベンジル、1,3−ブタンジオール、1−デカノール、マロン酸ジエチル、エーテルジヘキシル、フタル酸ジメチル、1−ドデカノール、n−ヘプタデカン、n−ヘキサデカン、サリチル酸メチル、n−ペンタデカン、フェニルエチルアルコール、2−ピロリジノン、n−テトラデカン、テトラヒドロフルフリル・アルコール又はトリエチレン・グリコールから構成される群から選択される、請求項15に記載の方法。
