Description
図1は、ヘッドライト装置の全体構成を示すブロック図である。ヘッドライト装置1は、光源装置2、照明光学系3、映像表示素子4、投写光学系5、および映像信号制御部6を有して構成される。
映像表示素子4を出射した映像光は、カバーガラス14と全反射プリズム(TIR)15で構成されるフィルタを通過し、同軸レンズ系11と自由曲面レンズ12で屈折作用を受け、自由曲面ミラー13で反射作用を受けた後で、像面8となる道路に投写される。
図7は、投写像の歪曲収差を示す図である。ヘッドライト装置から見た投写像は、X軸方向が横方向、Y軸方向が縦方向となる。映像表示素子4の映像表示範囲を破線で示し、像面8での映像表示範囲を実線で示す。また、映像の歪を示すため、映像表示素子4の映像表示範囲を横方向(X軸)に9分割、縦方向(Y軸)に16分割し、分割線の各交点から出射した光線が像面に投写される位置を表示している。ここで、映像表示素子4の映像表示範囲の中心位置から出射した光線が像面8に投写される位置は、同じ位置(○印)となるように表示している。

Claims (5)
- 道路面に映像を投写するヘッドライト装置であって、
光源装置と、
前記光源装置から出射された光を集光する照明光学系と、
前記照明光学系で集光された光を入射して光学像を形成する映像表示素子と、
前記映像表示素子に前記光学像を形成するための映像信号を供給する映像信号制御部と、
前記映像表示素子で形成された前記光学像を拡大して道路面に投写する投写光学系を備え、
前記投写光学系は、前記映像表示素子側から、屈折作用を有する同軸レンズ系と、自由曲面レンズと、自由曲面ミラーを有して構成され、
当該ヘッドライト装置から見た道路面での投写映像の縦方向サイズをY0、横方向サイズをX0とするとき、アスペクト比=Y0/X0>2を満足するように、前記映像表示素子の映像表示範囲を縦長形状に配置させるとともに、前記映像表示素子のアスペクト比に対し、前記道路面での投写映像のアスペクト比の方が大きいことを特徴とするヘッドライト装置。 - 請求項1に記載のヘッドライト装置であって、
前記投写光学系の出射位置から映像を投写する道路面に引いた垂線の長さを投写距離Z0とし、道路面での投写映像の長辺の長さをY0とするとき、
投写比=Z0/Y0<0.1
を満足することを特徴とするヘッドライト装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載のヘッドライト装置を搭載した車両装置であって、
前記映像信号制御部は、
運転者の操作情報に応じて所定の映像信号を生成して前記映像表示素子に供給する映像信号生成部と、
当該車両装置の走行速度情報に応じて投写映像のアスペクト比を決定し、前記映像表示素子に供給する映像信号を切り替える表示アスペクト比変更部と、
を備えることを特徴とする車両装置。 - 請求項3に記載の車両装置であって、
運転者から見た投写映像のアスペクト比を、[運転者から見た投写映像の縦方向サイズ]/[運転者から見た投写映像の横方向サイズ]とするとき、
前記表示アスペクト比変更部は、当該車両装置の走行速度が所定の速度よりも遅くなった場合に、運転者から見た投写映像のアスペクト比を小さく切り替えることを特徴とする車両装置。 - 請求項4に記載の車両装置であって、
前記表示アスペクト比変更部により運転者から見た投写映像のアスペクト比を小さく切り替えるのは、投写映像として、前記映像信号生成部により右折表示、若しくは左折表示を示す映像信号を生成している場合であることを特徴とする車両装置。
