Claims (3)
- 外筒と、内筒と、前記内筒の内室内に往復運動式に装着されたピストンとを有するタイプのショックアブソーバと組み合わせて使用するための、前記外筒と前記内筒との間の環状外側補充チャンバと、前記内筒の前記内室によって形成される内側作動チャンバとの間の流体流れを調節するベースバルブアセンブリであって、
ベースプレートと、
前記ベースプレート上に配置されたベースケージであって、前記ピストンの圧縮行程において前記内側作動チャンバを前記外側補充チャンバに流体接続する流体通路の第1セットと前記ピストンの伸張行程において前記外側補充チャンバを前記内側作動チャンバに流体接続する流体通路の第2セットとを有するベースケージと、
前記ベースケージに装着され、前記ピストンの前記圧縮行程中、流体通路の前記第1セットを開口する第1ベースバルブと、
前記ベースケージに装着され、前記ピストンの前記伸張行程中、流体通路の前記第2セットを開口する、第2ベースバルブと
を備え、
流体通路の前記第2セットは、前記ベースケージを貫通して形成された複数の弧状の細長いスロットを備え、それによって前記スロットの端部同士が互いに近接しており、 前記ベースケージは、内側端部および外側端部を有し、前記ベースケージの前記外側端部と前記ベースプレートとの間に形成されて通路の前記第2セットを前記外側補充チャンバに流体接続する補充流体通路を備え、通路の前記第2セットの内側の壁は、前記ベースケージの前記外側端部上で、前記補充通路の半径方向外側端部に対して外方に延出する、ベースバルブアセンブリ。 - 前記ベースケージの前記外側端部の、通路の前記第2セットから半径方向外方に位置する部分は、通路の前記第2セットの外側端部から前記ベースケージの外周まで平坦である、または軸方向内方へ傾いている、請求項1に記載のベースバルブアセンブリ。
- 前記ベースケージの前記外側端部の半径方向最も外側の縁部は丸みを帯びている、請求項2に記載のベースバルブアセンブリ。
