Claims (4)
- スノータイヤ用のゴム材料で作られたトレッドであって、前記タイヤが駆動されているときに路面に接触するようになったトレッド表面を有し、前記トレッド(1)は、互いに向かい合って位置すると共に前記トレッドの隆起要素(2,7)の側壁を形成する壁(5)によって画定された複数本の切れ目(3,4)を備え、前記側壁の各々は、エッジコーナ(9)を形成するよう前記トレッド表面と交差し、隆起要素の少なくとも一方の側壁(5)は、該側壁と関連した前記エッジコーナ(9)から延びるカバー層(11)によって部分的に又は全体的に形成され、前記カバー層(11)の材料は、前記トレッドを構成する前記ゴム材料の弾性モジュラスよりも高い弾性モジュラスを有する、トレッドにおいて、前記隆起要素(2,7)は、その側壁に、深さPの窪み(12)を有し、該窪みは、前記カバー層(11)によって画定され、前記隆起要素(2,7)は、幅Wを有し、前記窪みの前記深さPは、前記隆起要素(2,7)の前記幅Wの少なくとも10%に等しく且つ該幅Wの40%以下であり、前記窪み(12)の容積は、前記隆起要素(2,7)の体積の10%未満であり、前記カバー層(11)は、前記窪み(12)を越えて延びてはいない、トレッド。
- 前記窪みは、断面で見て、前記隆起要素内において前記エッジコーナ(9)から遠ざかる方向に先が向いた三角形の形態をしている、請求項1に記載のトレッド。
- 前記窪み(12)は、前記トレッドの前記トレッド表面上に開口し、前記窪みを画定する前記カバー層(11)は、前記トレッド表面と90°未満の角度(α)をなしている、請求項1または請求項2に記載のトレッド。
- 前記隆起要素は、該隆起要素の2つの反対側に位置した側壁(5)上にそれぞれ開口した2つの窪み(12)を有する、請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載のトレッド。
