Claims (2)
- 基体の表面に触媒層を形成し、触媒層表面にこの触媒層表面側を基端として触媒層表面に直交する方向に配向するように複数本のカーボンナノチューブを成長させる成長工程と、カーボンナノチューブの成長端側から硫黄を溶融拡散させて各カーボンナノチューブの表面を硫黄で覆う被覆工程とを含むリチウム硫黄二次電池用正極の形成方法において、
被覆工程は、カーボンナノチューブの成長端側に固体の硫黄を撒布し、210℃〜300℃の範囲の温度に加熱して硫黄を高分子化してこの高分子化した硫黄をカーボンナノチューブの基端まで拡散させる加熱工程と、カーボンナノチューブの表面を硫黄で覆った後に1℃/秒〜25℃/秒の範囲の冷却速度で冷却する急冷工程とを含むことを特徴とするリチウム硫黄二次電池用正極の形成方法。 - 前記被覆工程にて、カーボンナノチューブの表面を硫黄で覆ったときのカーボンナノチューブの単位面積当たりの重量に対する硫黄の重量比が1.35以上となるように硫黄の散布量を設定することを特徴とする請求項1記載のリチウム硫黄二次電池用正極の形成方法。
