Description
(i)少なくとも片面に熱可塑性樹脂が被覆された金属板を略円状に打ち抜き、その樹脂被覆面が内面となるように絞りしごき加工処理して、胴部と底部が一体に成形された有底円筒状の缶体とする缶体成形工程と、
(ii)前記工程により形成された有底円筒状の缶体を加熱し、該缶体の表面温度を内面に被覆された熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度以上とした状態で少なくとも20秒以上保持する加熱工程と、
(iii)前記工程の加熱を終了した後、少なくとも下記数式に示すX秒以内に、前記缶体の表面温度がY℃以下となるように該缶体を冷却する急冷工程と、

Tpeak(℃):加熱工程における缶体表面の最高到達温度
Y(℃):前記熱可塑性樹脂の結晶化終了温度
(iv)前記加熱工程および急冷工程後の缶体の胴部の側面の全周にわたって環状の凹凸ビードを一又は二以上形成するビード成形工程、及び/または前記各工程後の缶体の底部の外周側面へとその全周にわたって外側方向に凸状に張り出したボトムリムを形成するボトムリム成形工程と、
(v)前記工程によりビード及び/またはボトムリムの形成された缶体の内部へと食品を充填し、該缶体の上端面に蓋体を取り付け巻き締めて密封する充填密封工程と
を備えることを特徴とするものである。
また、前記(ii)加熱工程において、前記缶体の表面温度が前記熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度以上とした状態で25〜45秒間保持することが好適である。
また、前記(iii)急冷工程において、少なくとも20秒以内に、前記缶体の表面温度が160℃以下となるように該缶体を冷却することが好適である。
また、前記熱可塑性樹脂がエチレンテレフタレートの繰り返し単位を主体とするポリエステル樹脂であり、該熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度が200〜280℃であることが好適である。
また、前記(v)充填密封工程において、塩化物イオン濃度が4000ppm以上の食品を缶体内に充填することが好適である。
本発明の方法においては、(i)工程として、まず最初に、熱可塑性樹脂が被覆された金属板を、略円状に打ち抜く。さらに打ち抜かれた円板状の金属板に対し、適当な大きさの型(ポンチおよびダイス)を上下方向からあててプレスを繰り返す、いわゆる絞り・しごき加工処理をすることで、胴部と底部が一体に形成された有底円筒状の缶体を成形する。なお、金属板の片面のみに熱可塑性樹脂が被覆されている場合には、その樹脂被覆面が缶体の内面となるように、樹脂が被覆された面へとポンチをあてて絞り・しごき加工処理を行う。

Tpeak(℃):加熱工程における缶体表面の最高到達温度
Y(℃):前記熱可塑性樹脂の結晶化終了温度
ここで、熱可塑性樹脂の結晶化終了温度は、先に説明した融解温度の場合と同様、示差熱分析計(DTA)あるいは示差走査熱量計(DSC)を使用し、JIS K7121にしたがって決定することができる。
<熱可塑性樹脂被覆金属板>
・内面樹脂層(厚み20μm)
ポリエチレンテレフタレート/イソフタレート
(イソフタル酸2モル%共重合) 80質量%
ポリブチレンテレフタレート 20質量%
融解温度※:245℃
結晶化ピーク温度※:175℃
結晶化終了温度※:165℃
・金属板(厚み0.23mm)
クロムめっき鋼板(TFS)
・外面樹脂層(厚み20μm)
ポリエチレンテレフタレート/イソフタレート
(イソフタル酸2モル%共重合) 100質量%
融解温度※:249℃
※JIS K7121に準じて決定した。
上記(iii)急冷工程において、最高到達温度(約265℃)の時点から165℃以下となるまでに要する時間を缶体各部の平均で約30秒となるようにしたほかは、試験例1と同様にして、食品充填済みの2ピース缶を得た。
試験例3
上記(iii)急冷工程において、最高到達温度(約265℃)の時点から165℃以下となるまでに要する時間を缶体各部の平均で約60秒となるようにしたほかは、試験例1と同様にして、食品充填済みの2ピース缶を得た。
上記(ii)加熱工程において、缶体表面の最高到達温度を約240℃(熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度(245℃)よりも高い温度での保持時間はゼロ)となるようにしたほかは、試験例1と同様にして、食品充填済みの2ピース缶を得た。
試験例5
上記(iii)急冷工程において、最高到達温度(約240℃)の時点から165℃以下となるまでに要する時間を缶体各部の平均で30秒となるようにしたほかは、試験例4と同様にして、食品充填済みの2ピース缶を得た。
試験例6
上記(iii)急冷工程において、最高到達温度(約240℃)の時点から165℃以下となるまでに要する時間を缶体各部の平均で60秒となるようにしたほかは、試験例4と同様にして、食品充填済みの2ピース缶を得た。
上記(ii),(iii)工程をまったく行なわなかったほかは、試験例1と同様にして、食品充填済みの2ピース缶を得た。
<腐食状態>
◎:腐食なし
○:深さ1%以下のわずかな腐食
□:深さ1〜10%の腐食
◇:深さ10〜25%の腐食
△:深さ25〜50%の腐食
製造例1
<熱可塑性樹脂被覆金属板>
・内面樹脂層(厚み18μm)
ポリブチレンテレフタレート 60質量%
ポリエチレンテレフタレート 40質量%
融解温度※:217℃(PBT)、251℃(PET)
結晶化ピーク温度※:175℃
結晶化終了温度※:164℃
・金属板(厚み0.23mm)
ニッケルめっき鋼板
・外面樹脂層(厚み10μm)
ポリエチレンテレフタレート/イソフタレート
(イソフタル酸1.5モル%共重合) 100質量%

Claims (5)
- 熱可塑性樹脂被覆金属板を用いて得られ、缶体にビード及び/またはボトムリムが形成された食品用缶詰に利用される2ピース缶の製造方法であって、
(i)少なくとも片面に熱可塑性樹脂が被覆された金属板を略円状に打ち抜き、その樹脂被覆面が内面となるように絞りしごき加工処理して、胴部と底部が一体に成形された有底円筒状の缶体とする缶体成形工程と、
(ii)前記工程により形成された有底円筒状の缶体を加熱し、該缶体の表面温度を内面に被覆された熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度以上とした状態で少なくとも20秒以上保持する加熱工程と、
(iii)前記工程の加熱を終了した後、少なくとも下記数式に示すX秒以内に、前記缶体の表面温度がY℃以下となるように該缶体を冷却する急冷工程と、

Tpeak(℃):加熱工程における缶体表面の最高到達温度
Y(℃):前記熱可塑性樹脂の結晶化終了温度
(iv)前記加熱工程および急冷工程後の缶体の胴部の側面の全周にわたって環状の凹凸ビードを一又は二以上形成するビード成形工程、及び/または前記各工程後の缶体の底部の外周側面へとその全周にわたって外側方向に凸状に張り出したボトムリムを形成するボトムリム成形工程と、
(v)前記工程によりビード及び/またはボトムリムの形成された缶体の内部へと食品を充填し、該缶体の上端面に蓋体を取り付け巻き締めて密封する充填密封工程と、を備え、
前記(v)充填密封工程において、塩化物イオン濃度が4000ppm以上の食品を缶体内に充填することを特徴とする食品用缶詰に利用される2ピース缶の製造方法。 - 前記(ii)加熱工程において、前記缶体の表面温度が前記熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度〜該融解温度+30℃の範囲となるように加熱することを特徴とする請求項1記載の食品用2ピース缶の製造方法。
- 前記(ii)加熱工程において、前記缶体の表面温度が前記熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度以上とした状態で25〜45秒間保持することを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の食品用2ピース缶の製造方法。
- 前記(iii)急冷工程において、少なくとも20秒以内に、前記缶体の表面温度が160℃以下となるように該缶体を冷却することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の食品用2ピース缶の製造方法。
- 前記熱可塑性樹脂がエチレンテレフタレートの繰り返し単位を主体とするポリエステル樹脂であり、該熱可塑性樹脂の融解温度が200〜280℃であることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の食品用2ピース缶の製造方法。
