水性分散液中で第1固体ポリマー粒子を作製するための直径0.045μmの架橋ポリマー粒子の調製。
サンプルBの粒子を直径0.21μmまで成長させた。
サンプルCの粒子を膨張させて、0.84μmの平均直径を得た。
2段組成:80(96BA/4ALMA)//20(96MMA/4EA)を有する平均直径5μmのエマルジョンポリマーの合成;1段(ALMAを含まない)の理論Tgは−54.0℃であり、2段の理論Tgは97.5℃である。
特に断りのない限り、「装入した」または「添加した」という用語は、混合物のすべてを一度に添加することを意味する。以下の混合物を調製した:
実施例1および比較例A〜Bを、それぞれ第1、第2、または第1および第2固体ポリマー粒子の第3固体ポリマー粒子に対する乾燥重量比が55/45で形成した。量を下記表1.1に提示する。
Claims (9)
- 0.60〜0.99μmの平均直径を有する多段屈折率分布型(grin)組成物コポリマー粒子、0.60〜0.99μmの平均直径を有し、かつ理論ガラス転移温度(Tg)が20℃またはそれ以下のゴム状コアを有する多段コポリマー粒子、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される第1固体ポリマー粒子と、
2〜20μmの平均直径を有する多段屈折率分布型(grin)組成物コポリマー粒子、2〜20μmの平均直径を有し、かつ理論ガラス転移温度(Tg)が20℃またはそれ以下のゴム状コアを有する多段コポリマー粒子、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される第2固体ポリマー粒子と、
−60℃〜120℃の理論Tgおよび50nm〜500nmの平均粒子直径を有する第3固体ポリマー粒子と、を含む水性コーティング組成物であって、
前記第1固体ポリマー粒子の前記第2固体ポリマー粒子に対する乾燥重量比が0.25:1〜2:1であり、前記第1固体ポリマー粒子と前記第2固体ポリマー粒子との合計の前記第3固体ポリマー粒子に対する乾燥重量比が0.15:1〜10:1であり、前記第2固体ポリマー粒子が1.9E+10N/m2未満のK10値を有し、前記第2固体ポリマー粒子の外面の屈折率と前記第3固体ポリマー粒子の屈折率との差が10E−4〜10E−2であり、そして前記水性コーティング組成物が10体積%未満の無機エキステンダー粒子を含む、水性コーティング組成物。 - 前記第1固体ポリマー粒子が、アクリル多段コポリマー粒子、ビニル多段コポリマー粒子、多段合成ゴムコポリマー粒子、多段ウレタンコポリマー粒子、水分散性グラフトコポリマー粒子、それらの混合物、それらの組み合わせ、および単段架橋(コ)ポリマーとのそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の水性コーティング組成物。
- 前記第1固体ポリマー粒子、前記第2固体ポリマー粒子、および前記第3固体ポリマー粒子がアクリルポリマーである、請求項1に記載の水性コーティング組成物。
- 前記第3固体ポリマー粒子が2段アクリルエマルジョンコポリマー粒子である、請求項3に記載の水性コーティング組成物。
- 顔料粒子をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の水性コーティング組成物。
- コーティングを提供するための方法であって:
(a)請求項1に記載の前記水性コーティング組成物を形成し、
(b)前記水性コーティング組成物を基体に施用し、そして
(c)前記水性コーティング組成物を乾燥するか、または乾燥させる
ことを含み、
前記提供されたコーティングが前記第一ポリマー粒子の平均直径の0.8〜3倍の乾燥フィルム厚を有する、方法。 - 前記コーティングが5〜25の60°鏡面光沢度を有する、請求項6に記載の方法によって形成されるコーティング。
- 顔料粒子をさらに含む、請求項7に記載のコーティング。
- 前記コーティングがその臨界顔料体積濃度以下である、請求項8に記載のコーティング。
