Description
作用極10は、上述したように、透明導電性基板15と、透明導電性基板15上に設けられる少なくとも1つの酸化物半導体層13とを有している。透明導電性基板15は、透明基板11と透明基板11の上に設けられる透明導電膜12とで構成されている。
対極20は、上述したように、第1樹脂を含む基材21と、触媒層22と、第2樹脂を含む樹脂層23とを有している。
封止部30としては、例えば変性ポリオレフィン樹脂、ビニルアルコール重合体などの熱可塑性樹脂、及び、紫外線硬化樹脂などの樹脂や、非鉛系の透明な低融点ガラスフリットなどの無機絶縁材料などが挙げられる。変性ポリオレフィン樹脂としては、例えばアイオノマー、エチレン−ビニル酢酸無水物共重合体、エチレン−メタクリル酸共重合体およびエチレン−ビニルアルコール共重合体が挙げられる。これらの樹脂は単独で又は2種以上を組み合せて用いることができる。なお、封止部は、樹脂と無機フィラーとで構成されてもよい。
電解質40は、例えばI−/I3 −などの酸化還元対と有機溶媒とを含んでいる。
光増感色素としては、例えばビピリジン構造、ターピリジン構造などを含む配位子を有するルテニウム錯体や、ポルフィリン、フタロシアニンなどの含金属錯体、エオシン、ローダミン、メロシアニンなどの有機色素が挙げられる。中でも、ターピリジン構造を含む配位子を有するルテニウム錯体が好ましい。この場合、色素増感太陽電池100は光電変換特性をより向上させることができる。
はじめに、以下のようにして作用極を作製した。まず75mm×75mm×4mmのFTO膜付きガラス基板を準備した。
触媒層を作製する際に、スパッタ法により形成した白金を用いたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感太陽電池を得た。
触媒層を作製する際に、樹脂層のうち基材と反対側の表面全体を触媒層で覆うことにより樹脂層と封止部とを接続しないようにしたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感太陽電池を得た。
対極の樹脂層を封止部形成体と同一の材料(ニュクレル)ではなく、バイネル樹脂(デュポン社製)で構成したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感太陽電池を得た。
対極を作製する際に、基材の上に樹脂層を形成せず、基材上に直接触媒層を形成したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感太陽電池を得た。
対極を作製する際に、樹脂層として、エポキシ系樹脂を用い、電解質の透過率比T1/T2を1以上としたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感太陽電池を得た。
実施例1〜4及び比較例1〜2の色素増感太陽電池について、光電変換効率(η0)を測定した。続いて、色素増感太陽電池について、60℃の環境下で300h放置した後の光電変換効率(η)を測定した。そして、下記式:光電変換効率の低下率(%)=(η−η0)/η0×100
に基づき、光電変換効率の低下率を算出した。これを耐久性の指標とした。結果を表1に示す。

Claims (5)
- 電解質を有する色素増感太陽電池に用いられる電極であって、
基材と、
触媒層と、
前記基材と前記触媒層との間に設けられる樹脂層とを備え、
前記樹脂層が前記基材上に直接設けられ、
前記触媒層が前記樹脂層上に直接設けられ、
前記基材が第1樹脂からなり、
前記樹脂層が第2樹脂を含み、
前記樹脂層における前記電解質の透過率が、前記基材における前記電解質の透過率よりも小さい、
電極。 - 前記触媒層が炭素材料を含む、請求項1に記載の電極。
- 作用極と、
前記作用極に対向する対極と、
前記作用極及び前記対極を連結する環状の封止部と、
前記作用極、前記対極及び前記封止部によって形成されるセル空間に配置される電解質と
を備え、
前記対極が請求項1又は2に記載の電極で構成されている、
色素増感太陽電池。 - 前記封止部と前記樹脂層とが少なくとも一部において接続されている、請求項3に記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記封止部と前記樹脂層とが同一の材料で構成されている、請求項4に記載の色素増感太陽電池。
