Description
以下の特許請求の範囲は、言及により本記載の説明に組み込まれる。本出願は、2012年8月16日に出願された米国特許仮出願番号61/683,947号(引用によりその全体が本明細書に組み込まれる)の優先権を主張する。1つ以上(one or more)は、記載の構成成分の少なくとも1つを使用してもよく、1つより多くを使用してもよいことを意味する。
本願発明には以下の態様が含まれる。
項1.
2種類以上の多孔化剤の混合物を、セラミック体の調製に使用する混合物と接触させること;ここで、該多孔化剤のうちの1種類が、その他の多孔化剤のうちの少なくとも1種類と有意に異なる化学的性質を有する;該混合物を乾燥させること;および該混合物を脱バインダーすることを含む方法。
項2.
該多孔化剤のうち少なくとも1種類が疎水性の特質を有し、その他の多孔化剤のうちの少なくとも1種類が親水性の特質を有する、項1に記載の方法。
項3.
該多孔化剤のうち少なくとも1種類が、その他の多孔化剤のうちの少なくとも1種類のものと有意に異なる焼失温度を有する、項1または2に記載の方法。
項4.
2種類以上の多孔化剤の該混合物により脱バインダープロセス時の発熱反応の期間が長くなる、項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
項5.
2種類以上の多孔化剤の該混合物により任意の時点のΔTが120℃より下に低下する、項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
項6.
2種類以上の多孔化剤の該混合物が黒鉛とコーンスターチを含むものである、項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
項7.
黒鉛に対するコーンスターチの比が約6:1〜約1:1である、項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
項8.
該混合物が乾燥プロセスに曝露され、セラミック体の亀裂発生の低減がもたらされる、項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
項9.
焼成が酸素の存在下で、長期間にわたって温度をゆっくり上げるプロセスの必要なしで行なわれる、項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
項10.
焼成後、セラミック体を針状ムライトに変換させる、項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
項11.
該多孔化剤のうち少なくとも1種類が有機炭素生成物を有するものであり、その他の多孔化剤のうちの少なくとも1種類がHTB炭素である、項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
Claims (7)
- 2種類以上の多孔化剤の混合物を、セラミック体の調製に使用する混合物と接触させること;該混合物を乾燥させること;および該混合物を脱バインダーすることを含む方法であって、
2種類以上の多孔化剤の該混合物が黒鉛とコーンスターチを含むものであり、黒鉛に対するコーンスターチの比が3:1〜6:1であり、焼成後のセラミック体の多孔度が56%〜85%である、方法。 - 該多孔化剤のうち少なくとも1種類が疎水性の特質を有し、その他の多孔化剤のうちの少なくとも1種類が親水性の特質を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該多孔化剤のうち少なくとも1種類が、その他の多孔化剤のうちの少なくとも1種類のものと異なる焼失温度を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 2種類以上の多孔化剤の該混合物により脱バインダープロセス時の発熱反応の期間が長くなる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 2種類以上の多孔化剤の該混合物により任意の時点のΔTが120℃より下に低下する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該混合物が乾燥プロセスに曝露され、セラミック体の亀裂発生の低減がもたらされる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 焼成後、セラミック体を針状ムライトに変換させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
