Claims (3)
- 軸部材の一端にボール部を有するボールスタッドと、前記ボール部を回動可能に収容すると共に前記軸部材が突出する開口部を有する合成樹脂製のホルダと、を備え、
前記ホルダは、前記ボール部の球面に倣った凹球面状の第一ボール摺接面を有する第一部材と、前記ボール部の球面に倣った凹球面状の第二ボール摺接面を有すると共に当該第二ボール摺接面の中央に前記開口部を有する第二部材と、を備え、
前記第一部材と前記第二部材のそれぞれには、溶着によって互いに固定される接合面が設けられる一方、互いに突き当てられて前記第一ボール摺接面と前記第二ボール摺接面との間隔を一定に保つ固定基準面が設けられ、
前記固定基準面は前記ボールスタッドのボール部を取り囲んで環状に設けられる一方、前記接合面は前記固定基準面の外側に環状に設けられ、且つ、前記固定基準面と接合面との間には段差が設けられていることを特徴とするボールジョンイト。 - 前記固定基準面は前記ボール部の最大直径部から前記第一部材側へ変位した位置に設けられ、前記第二部材には前記第二ボール摺接面から連続すると共に前記ボール部の最大直径部が挿通する円筒面が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のボールジョイント。
- 前記ボールスタッドの軸部材に装着する小径開口部と前記第二部材に装着される大径開口部を有するダストカバーを備え、
前記大径開口部には合成樹脂製の固定リングが設けられ、この固定リングが前記第二部材に溶着されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のボールジョンイト。
