Description
本出願は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれる、「Embolectomy devices and methods for treatment of acute ischemic stroke condition」と題する、Jason Galdonikらによる、2010年4月13日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/323,461号明細書に対する優先権を主張する。

Claims (9)
- 急性脳卒中事象をもたらす大脳動脈からの血塊を除去するための医療デバイスシステムであって、
当該医療デバイスシステムは、送達ワイヤ上に取り付けられた不織繊維を備える繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスであって、該繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスが、前記血塊の遠位側にある前記大脳動脈の内部に位置決めするように構成され、前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスが、自己拡張型であって、前記大脳動脈の内周に沿うように、前記繊維の少なくとも一部が、前記送達ワイヤに対して外方へ延在する状態の展開して延びた形態を有し、前記送達ワイヤ上を並進することができるスライドに対して一端が固定された状態で前記繊維の両端が固定されている繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスと、
吸引カテーテルであって、該吸引カテーテルは、中央内腔を有し、前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスが前記血塊との係合のために近位方向に移動できるように、前記吸引カテーテルが前記血塊の近位位置にある状態で前記血塊の遠位位置に前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスを位置決めするために前記吸引カテーテルの前記中央内腔を通じて前記送達ワイヤ上で前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスを送達するように構成され、前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスの前記繊維が、動脈の変化する内周に沿ったままであり、それにより、前記血塊を前記吸引カテーテルに引き寄せるプロセスの間に前記血塊と係合したままであるように構成されている吸引カテーテルとを備える、医療デバイスシステム。 - 前記吸引カテーテルの前記中央内腔を通じて送達するように構成されたマイクロカテーテルをさらに備え、前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスが前記マイクロカテーテル内にある間に自己拡張することを前記マイクロカテーテルが制限するように、前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスが、前記マイクロカテーテルを通じて送達するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスが、複数の不織繊維束と、前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスの自己拡張特性を生じさせる形状記憶金属を備える複数のワイヤとを備えている、請求項1に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 可撓性の前記送達ワイヤに取り付けられるか又は可撓性の前記送達ワイヤで送達される補助的係合構造をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 前記展開した形態にある前記繊維が、前記繊維が織られていないままである一方で、3次元濾過マトリックス内でサイズが分散している有効な孔を備えた3次元濾過マトリックスを形成する、請求項1に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスが、放射線不透過性バンドを備えるか、又は、前記繊維ベースの血塊係合デバイスの前記繊維が、放射線不透過性繊維を備える、請求項1に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 中央ガイドカテーテル内腔を備えるガイドカテーテルをさらに備え、前記吸引カテーテルが、前記中央ガイドカテーテル内腔を通じて導入されるように構成されている、請求項1に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 前記送達ワイヤで送達されるように構成された機械的治療デバイスをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
- 前記機械的治療デバイスが、バルーン、ステント送達デバイス又はアテローム切除デバイスである、請求項1に記載の医療デバイスシステム。
