Description
本願は、2012年2月6日に提出した米国仮特許出願第61/595,584号及び2012年4月12日に提出した米国仮特許出願第61/623,212号の優先権を主張する。優先権は、35U.S.C.119に従って主張する。上記特許出願を援用して本書で十分に説明する。
携帯電話ベースのRDTリーダの性能は、Optimal-IT P. falciparum-specific及びPan-specific Malaria Tests(Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., CA, USA)、HIV 1/2 Ab PLUS Combo Rapid Tests、及びTB IgG/IgM Combo Rapid Tests (CTK Biotech Inc., CA, USA)を含む幾つかのラテラルフロー型RDTsを撮像することによって検証された。マラリアテストを活性化するために、P. falciparumの組み換え体抗原(LDH)を含むOptiMAL陽性コントロールウェル(Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., CA, USA)を使用した。
Claims (24)
- 携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムが、
携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器の中に収容されたカメラ及び1又はそれ以上のプロセッサを有する携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器であって、当該携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器の上に1又はそれ以上のプロセッサによって実行可能な撮像ソフトウェアを有する携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器と、
前記携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器に取り付けるように構成されたモジュール式ハウジングであって、当該モジュール式ハウジングが迅速診断テストを保持する試料トレーを受けるように構成された受け口を含み、前記迅速診断テストが少なくとも1つのテスト位置と少なくとも1つのコントロール位置を有するモジュール式ハウジングと、
前記モジュール式ハウジングに配設され、前記迅速診断テストの一方の側に配置された少なくとも1つの照明源と、
前記モジュール式ハウジングに配設された光学縮小器であって、前記カメラの視野内に前記迅速診断テストの縮小光学画像を取得して前記少なくとも1つのテスト位置と前記少なくとも1つのコントロール位置を配置するために設置された光学縮小器と
を具え、
前記撮像ソフトウェアが、前記視野の画像内において前記少なくとも1つのテスト位置と前記少なくとも1つのコントロール位置から関心領域を抽出するために取付けられ、更に、比較に応じて迅速診断テストを評価するために取付けられていることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。 - 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムにおいて、前記光学縮小器が、1より大きく50以下の範囲内で光学縮小率を提供することを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムにおいて、前記少なくとも1つの照明源が、前記光学縮小器を収容している側とは反対の迅速診断テストの側に配設されることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムにおいて、前記少なくとも1つの照明源が、前記光学縮小器を収容している側と同じ側にある前記迅速診断テストの側に配設されることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムにおいて、前記少なくとも1つの照明源が、別個の照明源のアレイを具えることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムにおいて、前記迅速診断テストは蛍光テストを含み、前記少なくとも1つの照明源が前記迅速診断テストを蛍光にする波長で照明を発することを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムがさらに、前記携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器のカメラと前記迅速診断テストとの間に挿入された取り外し可能なカラーフィルタを具えることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムにおいて、
前記少なくとも1つの照明源が、
前記モジュール式ハウジングに配設され、前記迅速診断テストの第1の側に配置された第1の照明源と、
前記モジュール式ハウジングに配設され、前記迅速診断テストの第2の反対側に配置された第2の照明源と、
を具えることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。 - 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムがさらに、複数の試料トレーを具え、複数の試料トレーの各々が特定の迅速診断テスト用に構成されることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項1に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムがさらに、前記ハウジングに配設された電源を具えることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項8に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムにおいて、前記携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器の電源によって前記第1及び第2の照明源の電力が供給されることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- 請求項8に記載の携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステムがさらに、前記ハウジングの中で迅速診断テストを保持する前記試料トレーの適切な装填を表示するように構成された視覚的なインジケータを具えることを特徴とする携帯型迅速診断テストリーダシステム。
- カメラ機能を有する携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器を使用して迅速診断テストを読み取る方法において、
前記携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器に迅速診断テストリーダを固定するステップと、
当該リーダの中に、少なくとも1つのテスト位置と少なくとも1つのコントロール位置を有する前記迅速診断テストを挿入するステップと、
1又はそれ以上の照明源の照明により前記迅速診断テストを照明するステップと、
前記携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器のカメラにより、前記少なくとも1つのテスト位置と前記少なくとも1つのコントロール位置を有する前記迅速診断テストの画像を取得するステップと、
前記画像内において前記少なくとも1つのテスト位置と前記少なくとも1つのコントロール位置から所望の領域を抽出するために、少なくとも1つのプロセッサによって実行される撮像ソフトウェアにより前記取得した画像を処理し、各関心領域と各閾値を比較するために前記撮像ソフトウェアが更に取付けられて、当該処理した画像の少なくとも一部に基づいてユーザにテスト結果を出力するステップと
を具えることを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項13に記載の方法において、前記1又はそれ以上の照明源が、ユーザが選択可能な透過照明源と反射照明源とを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項13に記載の方法において、前記取得した画像は、前記携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器に収容した1又はそれ以上のプロセッサを使用して処理されることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項13に記載の方法がさらに、遠隔位置でデータベースに前記テスト結果を送信するステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項13に記載の方法がさらに、遠隔位置に前記取得した画像を送信し、遠隔に配置された1又はそれ以上のプロセッサにより前記取得した画像を処理するステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項13に記載の方法がさらに、無線通信を介して前記携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器に前記テスト結果を返信するステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項13に記載の方法がさらに、リモートコンピュータにテストレポートと共に前記取得した画像を送信するステップを具えることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項19に記載の方法において、前記テストレポートは、テストの有効性の表示と、画像データと、ユーザ入力したデータとを含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項20に記載の方法において、前記テストレポートが、地理的場所とタイムスタンプのデータを含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項19に記載の方法がさらに、遠隔に配置された前記リモートコンピュータのデータベースに問い合わせるステップを具え、前記データベースが複数のテスト結果を含み、前記問い合わせを送信するユーザに対する回答を前記リモートコンピュータから返信するステップを具えることを特徴する方法。
- 請求項22に記載の方法において、前記問い合わせは、前記携帯電話若しくは携帯型電子機器から送信されることを特徴とする方法。
