Description

が仮に画像センサアレイ46のピクセルと直接接触して配置された場合、非干渉性の各点源は1つのピクセル値にのみ寄与しているため、圧縮復号することはできない。例えば、同じピクセル上に位置する2のサブピクセルの点源は、その特定のピクセルにのみ寄与し、測定SNRに関わらず、それらを物理的に分解することは不可能である。しかしながら、同じ2のサブピクセル点が、検出面上にある程度離れて位置しており、これにより、より多くのピクセルが発光の加重寄与(weighted contribution)を検出できる場合には、圧縮復号を介して互いに分解することができる。

前記試料ホルダの下面に近接して配置され、入力側と出力側とを有する光ファイバのアレイと;

試料を照明する前にプリズムを通過する蛍光励起放射を用いて試料ホルダに含まれる試料を照明するステップであって、実質的に全ての前記蛍光励起放射が前記試料ホルダの下面において全内部反射され、前記試料からの蛍光発光放射が前記試料ホルダから出るステップと;
画像センサアレイを用いて、前記蛍光発光放射の画像フレームを取得するステップと;
復号画像フレームを生成すべく、取得した前記画像フレームを圧縮復号するステップと、を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項16に記載の方法がさらに、前記試料ホルダの下面と前記画像センサアレイの間に置かれた光ファイバのアレイを介して、前記試料ホルダから出る前記蛍光発光放射を前記画像センサアレイに移動させるステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項16に記載の方法において、前記試料が、複数の細胞を含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項16に記載の方法がさらに、複数の細胞内に含まれる1以上の対象の細胞を識別するステップを含むことを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項17に記載の方法において、第1のエアギャップが前記光ファイバのアレイから前記試料ホルダの下面を分離し、第2のエアギャップが前記光ファイバのアレイと前記画像センサアレイを分離していることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項16に記載の方法において、前記試料ホルダが、少なくとも1の微小チャネルを具えていることを特徴とする方法。
- 請求項21に記載の方法において、さらに複数の微小チャネルを具えており、当該複数の微小チャネルは、異なる垂直位置に配置された微小チャネルを具えていることを特徴とする方法。
