Description
また、劣化に関しては、長期使用による潤滑油組成物の酸化劣化の他、変速機に使用されているシール材、すなわちゴム材から溶出する化合物による潤滑油組成物の耐摩耗性へ影響することが判明した。これらの影響は、さらには特に自動変速機油に必要な摩擦特性、なかでもシャダー防止性の維持性について影響することが明らかになった。
また本発明は、前記(B)成分のリン系添加剤が亜リン酸エステルとリン酸との組み合わせであり、亜リン酸エステルのリン量[P1]に対するリン酸のリン量[P2]の比([P2]/[P1])が0.2〜1.5であることを特徴とする前記潤滑油組成物である。
また本発明は、(D)成分のアルカリ金属および/またはアルカリ土類金属系清浄剤が塩基価150mgKOH/g以上の金属系清浄剤と塩基価150mgKOH/g未満の金属系清浄剤との組み合わせであることを特徴とする前記潤滑油組成物である。
また本発明は、さらに、(E)チアジアゾールを組成物全量基準、硫黄量換算で250〜1000質量ppm含有することを特徴とする前記潤滑油組成物である。
また本発明は、車両用変速機に使用されることを特徴とする前記潤滑油組成物である。
また、本発明の潤滑油組成物は、上記以外の変速機油としての性能にも優れており、自動車、建設機械、農業機械等の自動変速機用あるいは手動変速機、ディファレンシャルギヤ用の潤滑油としても好適に用いられる。その他、工業用ギヤ油、二輪車、四輪車等の自動車用、発電用、舶用等のガソリンエンジン、ディーゼルエンジン、ガスエンジン用の潤滑油、タービン油、圧縮機油等にも好適に使用することができる。
本発明の潤滑油組成物における潤滑油基油としては特に制限はなく、通常の潤滑油に使用される鉱油系基油、合成系基油が使用できる。
ホウ素含有無灰分散剤は、構造中にホウ素を含有している無灰分散剤であれば良く、例えば、無灰分散剤をホウ素化することで得られるホウ素化無灰分散剤が挙げられる。
例えば、ホウ酸変性コハク酸イミドの製造方法としては、特公昭42-8013号公報、同42-8014号公報、特開昭51-52381号公報、及び特開昭51-130408号公報等に開示されている方法等が挙げられる。具体的には例えば、アルコール類やヘキサン、キシレン等の有機溶媒、軽質潤滑油基油等にポリアミンとポリアルケニルコハク酸(無水物)にホウ酸、ホウ酸エステル、又はホウ酸塩等のホウ素化合物を混合し、適当な条件で加熱処理することにより得ることができる。なお、このようにして得られるホウ酸変性コハク酸イミドのホウ酸含有量は通常0.1〜45質量%とすることができる。
(A)成分としては、潤滑油に通常用いられるホウ素化した任意の無灰分散剤を用いることができるが、清浄性に優れるところから、ホウ素化コハク酸イミドであることが好ましい。
コハク酸イミドは、モノタイプであってもビスタイプであってもよく、またそれらの混合物であっても良い。
R−NH−(CH2CH2NH)s−H (2)
一般式(2)において、Rは、炭素数40〜400、好ましくは60〜350のアルキル基又はアルケニル基を示し、sは1〜5、好ましくは2〜4の整数を示す。
ただしホウ素含有無灰分散剤の単独使用、特にホウ素化コハク酸イミドの単独使用が好ましい。ホウ素含有無灰分散剤のうちホウ素化コハク酸イミドが最も安定化しており、ホウ素化物が析出する懸念が少ないからである。
(B)成分のリン系添加剤としては、分子中にリンを含むものであれば特に制限はなく、例えば、炭素数1〜30の炭化水素基を有するリン酸モノエステル類、リン酸ジエステル類、リン酸トリエステル類、亜リン酸モノエステル類、亜リン酸ジエステル類、亜リン酸トリエステル類、チオリン酸モノエステル類、チオリン酸ジエステル類、チオリン酸トリエステル類、チオ亜リン酸モノエステル類、チオ亜リン酸ジエステル類、チオ亜リン酸トリエステル類、これらのエステル類とアミン類あるいはアルカノールアミン類との塩若しくは亜鉛塩等の金属塩等が使用できる。これらの1種類あるいは2種類以上を任意に配合することができる。
その目的のためには亜リン酸エステルとリン酸の比率は、亜リン酸エステルのリン量[P1]に対するリン酸のリン量[P2]の比([P2]/[P1])が0.2〜1.5であることが好ましい。より好ましくは0.3以上であり、また1以下であることが好ましく、最も好ましくは0.7以下である。
なお、リン酸はそのままでは溶解しないため、無灰分散剤に混合した形で添加するのが望ましい。
特に、アンモニアと脂肪酸を反応させた、分子末端がアミド基であるアミド化合物が好ましい。
水酸基をもつアミド系摩擦調整剤の具体的例としては、炭素数10〜30のアルキル基又はアルケニル基を有する脂肪酸やその酸塩化物を炭素数1〜30の水酸基含有炭化水素基のみを分子中に含有するアミン化合物等の含窒素化合物を反応させて得られる脂肪酸アミド等が挙げられる。
具体的には一般式(3)で表される化合物が好ましい。
アルキル芳香族スルホン酸としては、具体的にはいわゆる石油スルホン酸や合成スルホン酸等が挙げられる。石油スルホン酸としては、一般に鉱油の潤滑油留分のアルキル芳香族化合物をスルホン化したものやホワイトオイル製造時に副生する、いわゆるマホガニー酸等が用いられる。また合成スルホン酸としては、例えば、洗剤の原料となるアルキルベンゼン製造プラント等で製造される、ポリオレフィンをベンゼンにアルキル化することにより得られる、直鎖状や分枝状のアルキル基を有するアルキルベンゼンを原料とし、これをスルホン化したもの、あるいはジノニルナフタレンをスルホン化したもの等が用いられる。
特にポリオレフィンをアルキル化剤として用いられたスルホネートが摩擦特性の点から好ましい。
なおここでいう塩基価は、JIS K 25.01「石油製品及び潤滑油−中和価試験方法」の7.に準拠して測定される過塩素酸法による塩基価を意味している。
本発明の潤滑油組成物において、(D)成分の含有量は、組成物全量基準で、金属量として100質量ppm以上、好ましくは150質量ppm以上であり、一方、300質量ppm以下、好ましくは250質量ppm以下である。(D)成分の含有量を上記範囲とすることで劣化後の耐摩耗性やシール材の影響防止、自動変速機のクラッチ摩擦特性に優れる潤滑油組成物を得ることができる。
添加できる添加剤としては、例えば、(A)成分以外の無灰分散剤、(B)成分以外のリン系添加剤、(C)成分以外の摩擦調整剤、(D)成分以外の金属系清浄剤、そのほか、酸化防止剤、極圧添加剤、粘度指数向上剤、金属不活性化剤、錆止め剤、腐食防止剤、流動点降下剤、ゴム膨潤剤、消泡剤、着色剤等を挙げることができる。これらは単独で、あるいは数種類組合せて用いることができる。
エステル系摩擦調整剤としては、例えばグリセリンと脂肪酸のエステル、例えばグリセリンモノオレート等が挙げられる。
アミン系摩擦調整剤としては、炭素数6〜30の直鎖状若しくは分枝状、好ましくは直鎖状の脂肪族モノアミン、炭素数6〜30の直鎖状若しくは分枝状、好ましくは直鎖状の脂肪族アルカノールアミン、直鎖状若しくは分枝状、好ましくは直鎖状の脂肪族ポリアミン、又はこれら脂肪族アミンのアルキレンオキシド付加物等の脂肪族アミン系摩擦調整剤等が例示できる。
脂肪酸系摩擦調整剤としては、炭素数7〜31の直鎖状又は分枝状、好ましくは直鎖状の脂肪酸、該脂肪酸と脂肪族1価アルコール又は脂肪族多価アルコールとのエステル等の脂肪酸エステル、該脂肪酸のアルカリ土類金属塩(マグネシウム塩、カルシウム塩等)や亜鉛塩等の脂肪酸金属塩等が挙げられる。
具体的には、2,6−ジ−tert−ブチル−4−メチルフェノール等のアルキルフェノール類、メチレン−4,4−ビスフェノール(2,6−ジ−tert−ブチル−4−メチルフェノール)等のビスフェノール類、フェニル−α−ナフチルアミン等のナフチルアミン類、ジアルキルジフェニルアミン類、(3,5−ジ−tert−ブチル−4−ヒドロキシフェニル)脂肪酸(プロピオン酸等)と1価又は多価アルコール、例えば、メタノール、オクタデカノール、1,6ヘキサジオール、ネオペンチルグリコール、チオジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、ペンタエリスリトール等とのエステル、フェノチアジン類、モリブデンや銅、亜鉛等の有機金属系酸化防止剤及びこれらの混合物等を挙げることができる。
これらの粘度指数向上剤の分子量は、せん断安定性を考慮して選定することが必要である。具体的には、粘度指数向上剤の数平均分子量は、例えば、分散型及び非分散型ポリメタクリレートの場合では、5,000〜150,000、好ましくは10,000〜100,000のものが、ポリイソブチレン又はその水素化物の場合は800〜5,000、好ましくは1,000〜4,000のものが、エチレン−α−オレフィン共重合体又はその水素化物の場合は800〜15,000、好ましくは3,000〜12,000のものが好ましい。
本発明においては、これらの粘度指数向上剤の中から任意に選ばれた1種類あるいは2種類以上の化合物を任意の量で含有させることができるが、通常その含有量は、潤滑油組成物基準で0.1〜20質量%である。
腐食防止剤としては、例えば、ベンゾトリアゾール系、トリルトリアゾール系、イミダゾール系の化合物等を挙げることができる。
ゴム膨潤剤としては、芳香族系やエステル系のゴム膨潤剤等が挙げられる。消泡剤としては、例えば、ジメチルシリコーンやフルオロシリコーン等のシリコーン類を挙げることができる。
また上記と同じ理由により、本発明の潤滑油組成物の100℃における動粘度は、通常6.5mm2/s以下、好ましくは6.3mm2/s以下、より好ましくは6.0m2/s以下、更に好ましくは5.7mm2/s以下である。
はこれらに何ら限定されるものではない。

<その他性能添加剤>
(1)酸化防止剤、粘度指数向上剤、摩擦調整剤、シール剤、金属不活性化剤の混合物
表1の実施例1〜11に示す各潤滑油組成物(100℃における動粘度5.5mm2/sに調製)及び比較のため表2の比較例1〜8に示す各潤滑油組成物を調製し、それぞれ新油、酸化安定度試験後油およびゴム浸漬試験後油について、以下に示す(1)摩耗防止性(2)焼付き防止性(極圧性)を評価し、その結果を表1および表2に併記した。基油の割合は基油全量基準、各添加剤の添加量は組成物全量基準である。
摩耗防止性はASTM D4172に準拠してシェル四級試験にて荷重392N、回転数1900rpm、油温100℃の条件で、1時間摺動させたのちの摩耗痕径を測定した。
(2)焼付き防止性
焼付き防止性はASTM D2783に準拠してシェル四級試験にて回転数1800rpm、室温の条件で、融着荷重(WL)を測定した。
(3)酸化安定度試験
酸化安定度試験はJIS K 2514に準拠して油温150℃、96時間の条件で実施した。
(4)シール材浸漬試験
シール材浸漬試験はJIS K 6258に準拠して油温150℃、240時間の条件でアクリル系ゴム材(T712)の浸漬を行った。
(5)シャダー防止寿命
シャダー防止寿命はJASO M349−2010によった。
Claims (6)
- 潤滑油基油に、組成物全量基準で、(A)ホウ素含有無灰分散剤をホウ素量換算で100〜500質量ppm、(B)リン系添加剤をリン量換算で300〜800質量ppm、(C)アミド系および/またはイミド系摩擦調整剤を1〜4質量%、(D)アルカリ金属および/またはアルカリ土類金属系清浄剤を金属換算で100〜300質量ppm含有し、40℃における動粘度が30mm2/s以下であることを特徴とする、アクリル系ゴムシール材を有する車両用変速機用潤滑油組成物。
- (B)成分のリン系添加剤が亜リン酸エステルを含有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記(B)成分のリン系添加剤が亜リン酸エステルとリン酸との組み合わせであり、亜リン酸エステルのリン量[P1]に対するリン酸のリン量[P2]の比([P2]/[P1])が0.2〜1.5であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- (D)成分のアルカリ金属および/またはアルカリ土類金属系清浄剤が塩基価150mgKOH/g以上の金属系清浄剤と塩基価150mgKOH/g未満の金属系清浄剤との組み合わせであることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の潤滑油組成物。

- さらに、(E)チアジアゾールを組成物全量基準、硫黄量換算で250〜1000質量ppm含有することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の潤滑油組成物。
