Description
以下、本発明の実施の形態に係る理論空燃比推定方法及び酸素吸蔵量推定方法を用いる内燃機関装置の一例について、添付の図面を参照しながら具体的に説明する。
このようにしてエンジン制御装置3において、本実施の形態に係る理論空燃比推定処理及び酸素吸蔵量推定処理が実行され、酸素吸蔵量を参照した内燃機関の空燃比制御が行われる。

Claims (8)
- 内燃機関における触媒の酸素吸蔵量を推定する方法であって、
前記内燃機関の排ガス通路に配置された排ガス浄化用の触媒の上流側及び下流側に配置された上流側空燃比センサ及び下流側空燃比センサのそれぞれの出力を受け取ることと、
前記下流側空燃比センサの出力に基づいて前記触媒が酸素を吸蔵も放出もしない状態を検出することと、
前記触媒が酸素を吸蔵も放出もしない状態を検出している時において前記上流側空燃比センサが検出する空燃比を前記内燃機関における推定理論空燃比として定めることと、
前記推定理論空燃比に基づいて、前記触媒の酸素吸蔵量を推定することと、を含む、触媒の酸素吸蔵量推定方法。 - 請求項1に記載の触媒の酸素吸蔵量推定方法における前記酸素吸蔵量の推定値が、予め定める目標酸素吸蔵量に収束するように空燃比をフィードバック制御する、内燃機関の空燃比制御方法。
- 前記目標酸素吸蔵量に対する前記酸素吸蔵量推定値の偏差に応じた目標空燃比となるように空燃比を制御し、前記目標空燃比が順次更新される、請求項2に記載の内燃機関の空燃比制御方法。
- 前記目標空燃比に対する前記上流側空燃比センサの出力値の偏差に応じた空燃比となるように前記内燃機関の空燃比調整装置を制御する、請求項3に記載の内燃機関の空燃比制御方法。
- 前記目標酸素吸蔵量は、飽和状態と非吸蔵状態との中間値に設定される、請求項2乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の空燃比制御方法。
- 内燃機関の排ガス通路の触媒の上流側に配置されて、内燃機関の吸気の空燃比変化に比例して出力値が変化する第1空燃比センサと、
内燃機関の排ガス通路の触媒の下流側に配置されて、内燃機関の吸気が理論空燃比付近に近づくと出力値が急峻変化する第2空燃比センサと、
前記第2空燃比センサが理論空燃比付近を継続する出力状態であるときの、前記第1空燃比センサの出力値を、理論空燃比の出力値であると推定し、この推定した理論空燃比の出力値に基づいて、前記触媒の酸素吸蔵量を推定する制御装置と、
を備える触媒の酸素吸蔵量推定装置。 - 請求項6に記載の触媒の酸素吸蔵量推定装置と、
空燃比を調整する空燃比調整装置と、を備え、
前記制御装置は、酸素吸蔵量推定値を目標値に収束させるように、前記空燃比調整装置を用いて、空燃比をフィードバック制御する、内燃機関の空燃比制御装置。 - 請求項7に記載の内燃機関の空燃比制御装置と、前記内燃機関と、を搭載する自動二輪車。
