Description
本願は、2011年12月20日に出願された「線形カートリッジベースのグルコース測定システム」と題される米国特許仮出願第61/577,859号の出願日の利益を主張し、かつその開示を参照することにより本明細書に組み込むものである。
本開示は、典型的には、分析物を評価するシステム及び方法に関し、より具体的には、流体試料中の血糖等の分析物を検出かつ測定するように構成された分析物測定システムに関する。
Claims (13)
- 基部、該基部から延びる複数の側壁、及び長手方向軸に沿って線形に配置された複数のコンパートメントを有するカートリッジであって、各コンパートメントが、テストセンサーを保持するように寸法決めされ、かつ対向する前記側壁間にて延びるスリットを有し、さらに、前記複数の側壁のうち少なくとも1つが、前記基部に対して垂直な基準軸に対して鋭角を成すように配向されている、カートリッジと、
前記複数のコンパートメントを密封する少なくとも1枚の箔カバーと、
一度に、前記複数のコンパートメントのうち1つのコンパートメントのみを開けると共に前記複数のコンパートメントのうち残りのコンパートメントを開けないように、前記鋭角を成すように配向された側壁に沿う位置にて前記少なくとも1枚の箔カバーに接触すると共に該少なくとも1枚の箔カバーを貫く前記テストセンサーの1つを移動させることによって、前記少なくとも1枚の箔カバーを破る構成になっている排出機構と
を備えている分析物メーター。 - 前記少なくとも1枚の箔カバーが1枚の箔カバーを有している、請求項1に記載の分析物メーター。
- 前記複数のコンパートメントに収容された前記テストセンサーが、前記長手方向軸に沿って延びる前記カートリッジの長手方向に並んで配置されている、請求項1に記載の分析物メーター。
- 前記複数の側壁が、前記基部の対向端から前記カートリッジの頂面に向かって延びており、
前記複数の側壁のそれぞれが、前記基部に対して垂直な基準軸に対して鋭角を成すように配向されている、請求項1に記載の分析物メーター。 - 1枚の前記箔カバーが前記複数の側壁のそれぞれを覆っている、請求項4に記載の分析物メーター。
- 各コンパートメントの内部に配置される乾燥材料をさらに備えている請求項4に記載の分析物メーター。
- 前記カートリッジを保持する空洞を有するハウジングと、
可撓性ブレードを有する排出機構と
を備え、
前記可撓性ブレードが、前記複数のコンパートメントのうち少なくとも1つのコンパートメント内に前記可撓性ブレードのどの部分も位置していない第1の位置と、一度に、前記複数のコンパートメントのうち1つのコンパートメントのみ開けると共に前記複数のコンパートメントのうち残りのコンパートメントを開けないように、前記複数のコンパートメントのうち少なくとも1つのコンパートメント内に前記可撓性ブレードの少なくとも一部分が位置する第2の位置との間で移動可能に構成されている、請求項1に記載の分析物メーター。 - 前記可撓性ブレードの移動を方向付けるように構成されるスピンドルをさらに備え、
該スピンドルが前記ハウジングに回転可能に接続されている、請求項7に記載の分析物メーター。 - 前記可撓性ブレードが第1部分及び第2部分を有し、
前記第1部分が第1の方向に沿って配向され、かつ該第1の方向と直交する第2の方向に沿って第2部分が配向されている、請求項7に記載の分析物メーター。 - 前記カートリッジを保持する空洞を有するハウジングをさらに備え、
各テストセンサーが流体試料中の分析物を検出かつ測定するように構成されており、
排出機構が、
前記ハウジングに旋回可能に連結されたレバーであって、前記長手方向軸に対して略平行な第1の位置、及び前記長手方向軸に対して略垂直な第2の位置間で移動可能に構成されたレバーと、
前記レバーに連結されたブレードであって、前記複数のコンパートメントのうち少なくとも1つのコンパートメント内に前記ブレードのどの部分も位置していない第1の位置、及び一度に、前記複数のコンパートメントのうち1つのコンパートメントのみを開けるように、前記複数のコンパートメントのうち少なくとも1つのコンパートメント内に前記ブレードの少なくとも一部分が位置する第2の位置間で移動可能に構成されたブレードと
を有している、請求項1に記載の分析物メーター。 - 前記ブレードが前記レバーに摺動可能に取り付けられている、請求項10に記載の分析物メーター。
- 前記ブレードが剛性材料から構成されている、請求項10に記載の分析物メーター。
- 前記ブレードが第1部分及び第2部分を有し、
前記第1部分が第1の方向に沿って配向され、かつ該第1の方向と直交する第2の方向に沿って第2部分が配向されている、請求項10に記載の分析物メーター。
