Description
Claims (10)
- 複数のローラーによって鋼製筒体を半径方向内方に向けてローラー成形する工程であって、各ローラーは前記筒体の長手方向軸に対して直交して延在し、各ローラーは前記筒体の長手方向に対して平行な回転軸を有し、前記ローラーで前記筒体の複数の部位の各位置で前記筒体を加圧し、前記部位の各位置で縮径部を、また、2箇所の前記縮径部間に位置する少なくとも1箇所の拡径部を前記筒体内に形成する工程と、
前記少なくとも1箇所の拡径部のほぼ中間位置と、前記縮径部のほぼ中間位置を通って、前記筒体をその長手方向軸に対して直角に切断する工程であって、これにより拡径開口端と縮径開口端とをそれぞれ有する複数の鏡像プリフォームを形成する工程と、
前記プリフォームを、所望の形状のハウジングにする冷間加工を施して、鋼材強度を少なくとも15%向上させながら、拡径開口端と縮径開口端部とを有するハウジング部材を形成する工程と、
前記ハウジングの拡径開口端を介してアッセンブリの構成部品を配置し、縮径部で前記構成部品を前記ハウジングに保持する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とするハウジングの成形方法。 - 前記鋼製筒体は、低炭素鋼ないし中炭素鋼から成形された、請求項1に記載の成形方法。
- 前記鋼製筒体は、低合金高張力鋼から成形された、請求項1に記載の成形方法。
- 前記鋼製筒体は、長手方向の溶接継ぎ目を含み、該筒体及び加工後のハウジングの強度が冷間加工により少なくとも20%高められた、請求項1に記載の成形方法。
- 複数のローラーによって鋼製筒体を半径方向内方に向けてローラー成形する工程であって、各ローラーは前記筒体の長手方向軸に対して直交して延在し、各ローラーは前記筒体の長手方向に対して平行な回転軸を有し、前記ローラーで前記筒体を加圧し、縮径部と拡径部とを前記筒体内に形成する工程と、
拡径部及び縮径部のほぼ中間位置を通って、前記筒体をその長手方向軸に対して直角に切断する工程であって、これにより拡径開口端と縮径開口端とをそれぞれ有する複数の鏡像プリフォームを形成する工程と、
前記プリフォームを、所望の形状のハウジングにする冷間加工を施して、鋼材強度を少なくとも15%向上させながら、拡径開口端と縮径開口端部とを有するハウジング部材を形成する工程と、
前記ハウジングの拡径開口端を介してアッセンブリの構成部品を配置し、縮径部で前記構成部品を前記ハウジングに保持する工程と、
を含み、
前記鋼製筒体は、アーチ状の肉厚部を有する筒体を形成するクラウンローラーを用いて鋼板を筒体とするローラー成形により形成された長手方向の溶接継ぎ目を含むことを特徴とするハウジングの成形方法。 - 前記筒体の前記冷間加工は、前記プリフォームの拡径開口端部を介するマンドレルの収容を含み、前記プリフォームが複数のローラーによって前記マンドレルの形状に形づくられる、請求項1に記載の成形方法。
- 前記ハウジングの拡径開口端を覆って保持された分離部材によって前記ハウジング内に前記構成部品を保持することを含む、請求項1に記載の成形方法。
- 筒体の長手方向軸に対して直交して延在する、複数のローラーによって、長手方向に延在する溶接部を有する鋼製筒体をローラー成形する工程であって、各ローラーは前記筒体の長手方向に対して平行な回転軸を有し、前記ローラーで前記筒体を加圧し、縮径部と、前記筒部の直径とほぼ等しい拡径部とを成形する工程と、
拡径部及び縮径部のほぼ中間位置を通って、前記筒体をその長手方向軸に対して直角に切断する工程であって、これにより複数の鏡像プリフォームを形成する工程と、
マンドレルを覆う前記プリフォームをローラー成形することで、前記プリフォームを所望の形状の物品にする冷間加工を施すことにより、鋼材強度を少なくとも20%向上させ、拡径開口端と縮径部とを有する所望の形状の物品を形成する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする構成部品の成形方法。 - 前記プリフォームの冷間加工により、鋼材の強度を少なくとも25%増加させる、請求項8に記載の成形方法。
- 前記鋼製筒体は、低炭素鋼ないし中炭素鋼から成形された、請求項8に記載の成形方法。
