Description
[0001]膜は、種々の流体をろ過するのに使用することができる。例えば、膜は、タンパク質含有流体をろ過して、流体から望ましくない物質を除去するのに使用され、及び/又は膜は、流体からウイルスを除去するのに使用される。しかし、より高いタンパク質容量及び/又はウイルス除去能力を有する膜の改良が必要である。
[0003]本発明の一実施形態は、第1の表面及び第2の表面を含む微多孔膜を提供し、ここで、第1の表面は、長さ方向に平行な表面チャンネルを含み、ここで、チャンネルは、粗面を含む側壁を有し、粗面は、約4.5μin(0.0001mm)〜約19.0μin(0.0005mm)の範囲にあるRaを有する。通常、チャンネルの側壁は、チャンネルの底壁に比べ、より粗い表面を有する。通常、第1の表面上の少なくとも約25%は、縦方向に平行な複数のチャンネルを有する。

Claims (15)
- (a) 微多孔性表面を含む第1の表面、
(b) 微多孔性表面を含む第2の表面、及び
(c) 前記第1の表面と前記第2の表面の間の微多孔性バルク
を含む微多孔性ポリマー膜であって、
前記膜は、縦方向及び横方向を有し、前記第1の表面は、前記縦方向に平行な複数のチャンネルを有し、前記チャンネルは、側壁及び底壁を有し、前記側壁は、粗面を含み、前記粗面は、4.5μin(0.0001mm)〜19.0μin(0.0005mm)の範囲にあるRaを有する膜。 - 前記チャンネルが、前記底壁より粗い表面を有する側壁を有する、請求項1に記載の膜。
- 前記側壁が、5μin(0.0001mm)〜9μin(0.0002mm)の範囲にあるRaを有する粗面を有する、請求項1又は2に記載の膜。
- 前記側壁が、9.5μin(0.0002mm)〜16.0μin(0.0004mm)の範囲にあるRaを有する粗面を有する、請求項1又は2に記載の膜。
- 前記第1の表面の少なくとも35%が、前記縦方向に平行な複数のチャンネルを有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の膜。
- スルホン膜を含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の膜。
- ポリエーテルスルホン膜を含む、請求項6に記載の膜。
- ポリアミド膜、又はPVDF膜を含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の膜。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の少なくとも1つの膜を含むフィルター。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の少なくとも2つの膜を含むフィルター。
- 流体から望ましくない物質を除去する方法であって、前記方法が、前記流体を微多孔膜の第1の表面から前記膜の第2の表面に通過させるステップを含み、前記第1の表面が微多孔性表面を含み、前記第2の表面が微多孔性表面を含み、前記膜は、前記第1の表面と前記第2の表面との間に微多孔性バルクを有し、前記膜は、縦方向及び横方向を有し、前記第1の表面は前記縦方向に平行な複数のチャンネルを有し、前記チャンネルは、側壁及び底壁を有し、前記側壁は粗面を含み、前記粗面は、4.5μin(0.0001mm)〜19.0μin(0.0005mm)の範囲のRaを有する方法。
- タンパク質含有流体からウイルスを除去するステップを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 流体から望ましくない物質を除去する方法であって、前記流体を請求項9に記載のフィルターに通過させるステップを含む方法。
- 流体から望ましくない物質を除去する方法であって、前記流体を請求項10に記載のフィルターに通過させるステップを含む方法。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の膜を調製する方法であって、
縦方向及び横方向を有する基材の表面を、規則的な間隔で配置された粒子で被覆した研磨ローラーに接触させて、前記縦方向に平行な切削痕を有する表面を前記基材に与えるステップ、
ポリマー溶液を前記表面に流延するステップ、
前記溶液の相分離をもたらし、微多孔膜を形成するステップ、及び
前記基材から前記膜を剥離し、前記基材の前記表面の前記平行な切削痕と接触する前記膜の一部が、前記膜から引き離されて、表面にチャンネルを伴う表面を有する膜を形成するステップ
を含む、方法。
